Any Mamma of two can relate. A child often thinks the grass on the other side is greener. The older child sometimes misses the time when they were little, and your little one wants to do big kid things like their sibling. This is a beautifully illustrated sweet book you're kids will like.
A story about the grass always being greener on the other side. Is it better to be young or to be a bit older and have more independence. I enjoyed following this lemur family throughout their day.
Cute characters, daily life and responsibility are all tucked into this cute story.
Overall, I did like this book, I just felt that it got a bit repetitive after a while.
But, first of all, I'd like to say that I think this would be a perfect bedtime story for kids due to its overall relaxing tone and the soft, serene, and beautiful colors of the amazing illustrations. It would also be great for bedtime because of the sweet bedtime ending.
Next, I thought that this book was very repetitive. Nearly all of the pages are just each of the kids going "I wish I was big" and "I wish I was little". I got bored after a while and it just wasn't a super exciting read. But, a redeeming quality was the ending because it was heartwarming and it made a lot of sense, both for the story and for the fact that this is intended for children.
All in all, I liked the idea, the ending, and especially the artwork, but I was bored while reading this book.
A sweet little story about two lemurs who would rather be like the other. As their mama leads them around the island, the two take turns wanting to be big or little. Perfect for my growing kiddos, they are constantly arguing over more mommy time or independence. We had a great discussion about each characters perspective and why they may feel like that.
The book was beautifully written and the illustrations were delightful. The author made careful word choices that were very impactful and will be great for young children. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it.
This book was precious! My kids loved the rainforest and the illustrations were beautiful! Such a fun story and just the two cutest characters. A really fun bedtime story
