Thank you, Netgalley, for allowing me to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.
A wonderful new Encanto-themed graphic novel that seems to flow with a confident theme. I enjoyed the stories and I think the kids will as well.
What a beautiful collection of stories for this graphic novel. I love the little glimpse of the family Madrigal. If you loved Encanto and want to see a little more of the family shenanigans, this is the graphic novel for you! There's a tall-tale lesson, a talent show and the story of ow Felix and Pepa meet.
I really enjoyed the vibrant colors and the magical storytelling.
Review: The New Adventures of Encanto: Volume 1
The New Adventures of Encanto: Volume 1 is a delightful collection of four engaging stories that will captivate readers aged 8 to 12. The magic of the Madrigal family continues beyond the movie, offering fans a deeper look into the enchanting world of Encanto.
In these new tales, we get to peek behind the scenes of the fantastically gifted Madrigal family, who live together in their magical house, Casita. While the miracle of Encanto keeps their world full of wonder, life isn't always as perfect as it seems. From uncovering secret visions and making new friends to participating in talent shows and spinning tall tales, the Madrigals face challenges that test their bonds. But through it all, Mirabel is there to remind everyone that their greatest strength lies in their unity and love for one another.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection and found it to be a heartwarming continuation of the Encanto story. It’s a perfect read for young fans and those who want to dive back into the magic of the Madrigal family. I give it 5 stars and highly recommend it.
I think this is a great story for kids who liked the movie. I loved the illustrations; all of the characters had expressive body language and facial expressions, which could be a fun and useful thing for beginning readers (such as asking the reader, how do you think he/she feels right here?).
As an adult, this story did not hold much interest for me. I am a huge fan of the movie, but struggled to become invested in this story. While understanding that this was written for kids, I think a lot of young readers are still reading with their grown-ups, making it important for the story to be semi-interesting for adults as well.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book.
This graphic novel is a great addition to the Disney comments. My singular complaint, and it's a common thread in this series, is that the type is exceptionally small, making it challenging for both beginning and aging readers.
This is a wonderful book for children who are fans of Encanto. The stories included are fun and just long enough to hold their interest. The graphics are great and were my daughter's favorite part. We are all looking forward to future titles in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Papercutz for the arc to review.
This cute graphic novel includes all of the characters readers know and love from Encanto and more! The stories are related to the movie, but are different, which is great because often those books that are just a reiteration of the movie can be boring for kids. This one is recommended for kids 8-12, I'd say even 6 & 7 year olds could probably enjoy it and 12 might be a little on the older side, so maybe 6 to 10 or 7 to 11 would be a bit better, but either way it is targeting kids who can read semi independently, who have an understanding of how graphic novels work and who are interested in this story and characters. I would recommend this book and could see having a copy in my classroom library. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this fun book!
A series of stories set within the Encanto universe! These are cute illustrated stories. Although the recommended age is 8-12, I think these would also be great for bedtime stories. They are reminiscent of the 5 minute stories. All four were really cute and fun!
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

In the words of my 9 year old:
“I found this book a little bit difficult to captivate me. I started it one night and then felt like it was a chore to pick it back up. When I did pick it back up I restarted it so I could remember what I had read before and read it through in one sitting. I really enjoyed the characters and how their personalities were portrayed in the stories. I also loved that there were different stories to read throughout the book rather than one storyline. There was one point in the book when there was a little bit of violence that almost happened surrounding Camillio that left me feeling a little uncomfortable. Overall, I found that the author did a really great job making coincidences happen in the story and the illustrator did a great job making the story come to life with bright and vivid pictures (although some were a little strange).”
Encanto is one of my favorites of the most recent Disney movies, so I definitely wanted to check this out for the children I watch. These were cute little stories which give adventures for many of the Madrigal family. I love the art style and the messages each story gives. They are perfect for young readers. These are said to be for ages 8-12, but I personally believe younger children would find enjoyment from listening to them also.
Encanto is probably my favorite recent Disney movie, so I was really excited to give this a read. It was super cute and it the perfect read for a young reader who loves Disney and graphic novels. A bunch of cute stories with the most adorable art of the Madrigal family. I loved it. I give it four stars only because I worry that there might be some readers who think the stories are too childish for the reading level it's written in.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley.
This is a cute set of stories of the Madrigal family.

First I would like to give a huge thank you to @NetGallery and @PapercutzPublishing for allowing me to have a chance to review #TheNewAdventuresofEncantoVol1.
As an elementary school teacher I am always looking for new books to purchase for my classroom for my students to expand on their love for reading. My 3rd graders this year absolutely loved Encanto so when I saw #NetGalley had a graphic novel I was extremely excited and after reading this book I can honestly say it did not disappoint.
What I loved the most about this graphic novel was that there were stories within the story. These love able characters of the Madrigal family are back and better than ever. Each story was fun to read and taught a valuable lesson. I absolutely loved the story and cannot wait to purchase this. Great job.
This will be a big hit with fans of Encanto. It is adorable art that fits the style of the animation and all your favorite characters are back with new stories.
4 stars
This is a great kids story in the encanto universe. Very cooourful and engaging in the popular Disney movies. Can’t wait to read more from this collection of books!
Richly illustrated, quick, and witty. This fun graphic novel continues the adventures of the Madrigal cousins as they work together to use their powers to solve everyday issues.
A gorgeous graphic novel version of Encanto? Yes, please!
My students loved the movie as well as graphic novels, so this is an automatic hit.
The four stories within are cute and have strong themes, making this a great choice for teaching.
Ending with a sneak peek at a Turning Red graphic novel is also a great choice as it will get kiddos excited for new reads.
Thank you to Papercutz and NetGalley for the eARC!
