This is EVERYTHING I look for in a romantasy.

I was hooked by the first few pages and am obsessed with Vaasa and Reid. Their arranged marriage turns into the best slow-burn romance I have read in a while.

The world Rebecca Robinson has built is incredible and the magic system was unique without being overwhelming. The political schemes and side characters were also a huge hit in my book.

Both Vaasa and Reid have a lot of interesting family dynamics and secrets and I am excited to learn more.

I also held my breath the last few pages of the book and am so looking forward to the next one.

This book exceeded my expectations by miles! This was the first ARC I’ve ever awarded five-stars and I’m going to scream from the rooftops how much I loved it!

Vaasa and Reid (the two MCs) have my WHOLE heart. It was so lovely to watch the minute details of two people falling in love without overtly spelling it out on the page. Their romance was so subtle and that’s what made it truly special and convincing. When they fell, they fell HARD. I absolutely loved their banter and dynamic.

This book has a lot of politics, but never feels too heavy or weighed down by explanations or world building. Vaasa is not only a strong, fiery MFC but she is also smart as absolute hell!

Reid was somehow ruthless and sensitive all at the same time, which was a fun balance to read. He would do ANYTHING for Vaasa.

This story read like a romantasy epic, and if you are a fan of Throne of Glass, Crowns of Nyaxia, The Cruel Prince, or FBAA this is totally for you!

The ending left me absolutely dying for the next book! 10/10!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

Loved the story! The main characters were endearing in their struggles and growing relationship. I received this as an ARC and read it in less than a day because I enjoyed the story so much. I can’t believe I have to wait for the second book to find out what happens

the serpent and the wolf follows the story of reid and vaasa. their romance is incredibly well written with fantastic dialogue that will definitely be creating book crushes. the politics in the world robinson has created are so complex and obviously beautifully thought out. the relationships, lessons, betrayal, secrets, and intrigue that form the serpent and the wolf are definitely a journey readers will be happy to embark on and complete.

and REBECCA! that ending? you know i will be ready and drooling for book 2 because i need answers asap

thank you rebecca robinson & netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my review ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
