I really liked The Love Lie and the unique voices. Both the main characters were fleshed out and strong. It had great dialoge and banter, excellent humor. A love story that started of unconvensionally, but evolved into something more and the struggle of navigating this new reality. Sweet and easy to read.

This book was a complete dream to read. I think the characters were great, the story was unique (something difficult to achieve in romance fiction nowadays) and the read was easy. I do think the narrative was slightly repetitive in some parts and there was moments where I didn't feel like I was completely following, but I can put that down to not reading the first book in this universe, so perhaps I didn't have all the context and information I needed to read this. Despite that, I would recommend this and would be happy to promote the book to wide audiences. Kay Marie is extremely talented in her writing and storytelling and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Swapping identity with your twinn love story. And for me, it is the best. I loved it OMG Cooper my new favorite book boyfriend. I loved the humor, tenderness sparks and all that was in this story, it warmed my heart and made my summer more beautiful.

Rewinding back to when Emily and Sam switch places, we now follow Sam's journey on The Love Match and the five days after the show is done filming, and discover why she said yes to Cooper's proposal and what happens after. A lot and some much more.

I think I love Sam a little bit more than Emily, and I definitely love Cooper way more than Jake. (Who doesn't love a gentleman cowboy with a naughty side.) Now I love Emily and probably identify with her more than I do Sam, I found Sam to be funnier and more interesting. Her and Cooper's chemistry is off the charts and their banter is top-notch.

While their first meeting is completely unrealistic, their romance and connection aren't. Everything progressed really naturally and the slow-burn tension between them was enjoyable. The conflicts they faced were realistic and the character growth all made sense. Seriously, I love these rom-com books!

Now I need Kay Marie to finish writing the next one so I get to see more of Tyler. And I need a spin-off for Wes. Also, I need a novella about Cooper and Sam on their show Cooper and Sam: Happily Ever After? Or a whole book. Ya, I want a whole book! I just need more of all these characters and their lives.

To some people, a proposal in the Maldives would be an absolute dream. To Samantha Peters, it’s a certifiable nightmare. When a moment of temporary insanity leaves them accidentally engaged, they have no choice but to figure it out together. Their plan is simple. Spend a week in paradise sharing the same bungalow so the producers don’t catch wind of the truth. Break up as soon as the cameras go down. And live happily never after. There’s only one problem. Between jet skis, yacht tours, romantic dinners, and sunset parasails, these two opposites constantly at one another's throats start to see each other in a new light. Sam is, without a doubt, a girl boss. She moves confidently through her carefully planned life, all in the name of growing herself and providing for her family. So it was rather fun getting to watch her careful laid plans and confident demeanour slip more and more as the book went on. Something I really liked and appreciated about Sam was that she knew she was capable, she knew she has confidence in what she does, but she still allowed herself to be vulnerable. It took a while for it to be in the presence of others but it was so good to see her take that step and allow herself to feel. She’s still a boss at everything she does - but now she is even more.
We got to know Cooper a fair amount in the first book, but here we really get deep into who he is and how he thinks. And he is just the biggest teddy bear ever and I would like my own personal cowboy, please and thank you. He’s kind, he’s considerate and puts everyone above himself. He does his very best to bring Sam out of her shell and he does it in such a clever way that I know I wouldn’t mind him working his magic on me! One order for a Cooper right here!

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book - The Love Match - I knew I wanted to jump at the chance to read the sequel. It intrigued me that the focus would be on Emily’s sister navigating this unorthodox situation with dear Cooper and I wanted to know more! And I’m so glad I got to read this. I actually quite liked that it took a big step away from the show and that we got to know our characters in a different light. The pacing was excellent and it was so easy to just sit down and read the book. I could pick it up and just instantly fall into the story - which is exactly what I want when I read! Character wise, it is predominantly familiar faces - though there are a few new ones in there too! Most importantly, we got to know our leads more through having their POVs switch throughout the book and I really think Marie did a fabulous job with them. Of course, there is plenty of romance to be had here. I’m a big lover of the fake dating trope so I wish we got to see this in action a little more. It just felt a little lacking considering the idea it’s all based off a tv show. But the fluffiness and the angstiness and the drama? I was living for it! It had my emotions all over the place and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. There was some nice spicy moments scattered across the book - made better, of course, by the building tension - and I could not get enough of them. There is the right balance of descriptive smut and hinting towards it as well. It would be too one-note and could risk being boring if it was constant smut throughout. The ending was absolute perfection for me! It wasn’t entirely what I was expecting would happen but that made it all the more exciting. I am rather thrilled that there is going to be a third instalment for this series - I cannot seem to get enough!

Overall, The Love Lie is a stunning sequel that had me swooning throughout.

Sadly this book just wasn't for me. Having read the description I thought I would fall in love with this book but I didn't. I did like Connor, but really disliked Sam, I just couldn't get to grips with her. And the fact she fell head over heels in love with him at first sight. I wanted a little yearning, but that's just me.

The book is well written, it just wasn't for me.

not only do i love a fake dating scenario, i love a country boy. this was so fun and cute. i like the twin element and the romance was super cute between cooper and samantha

I truly enjoyed the writing style of this book, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys dual POV and a feel-good romance. The fake dating plot was built very well, although the book had a bit of a slow start. Sam and Cooper have a strong chemistry that engaged me into their story and their banter was exciting and humorous as their personalities clashed with one another. They are the definition of opposites attract and I loved it!

I absolutely loved this book! I honestly can't remember a book that made me so swoony. Cooper and Samantha definitely stared off a little rocky but as the book progressed, my love for them grew and their love for each other also did! I do love a good opposites attract and fake engagement and the twin swap was an incredible plot that i haven't seen before and makes me want to read more books with tropes like this. The combination of funny banter, spicy scenes and sweet moments made this book worthwhile and you have no convinced me to go the Maldives! My only critic is that this book was a little hard to get hooked into and was a little predictable however once I pushed through the start I throughly enjoyed it!

this wasn’t too bad! the beginning was quite slow and boring but the last 40% were enjoyable. i did enjoy the social medias aspect!

Sam is stepping in for her twin on the TV set for "The Love Match," which reminded me a lot of the Bachelor. The show is set in the Maldives, which creates a beautiful atmosphere for Sam and Cooper to fall for one another. I'm going to be honest, going in to this I was not aware this was the second book in a series, and I was a little confused when I first began reading the book. I recommend reading "The Love Match" first to understand more about Emily and Jake, and how Sam ended up stepping in for her twin. Throughout "The Love Lie," I found myself falling in love with Sam and Cooper and their wild story. Sam and Cooper are the couple that are bound to stay together even after the story ends.

This was a cute rom com!
It's interesting how a lot of stories are relating to social media and influencing now.
It was a typical fake engagement story but it was cute!
It was a bit hard to get into at first though.
I'd reccomend this!

A playful and fun read. Definitely has some major flaws, but overall enjoyable. Simply a cute novel. High tension, low spice (as advertised).

Sam is feisty, confident, and emotionally unavailable. Cooper is flirtatious and went as far as going on a reality tv show to save his ranch.
This book had me feeling like I was intruding 🥵🔥 their chemistry was hot!
Their banter was somehow funny and flirty, Cooper purposely riles Sam up and I loved it. However, Sam could be super mean and cold at times 😭 I felt bad for Cooper because he was giving golden retriever energy and she was an ice queen.

Idk how he was so into her because she gave him NOTHING!! I hated the fact that he had to chase her and would always make the first move. It felt like a very one sided “relationship”
The more I think about it the more I don’t think I actually like Sam 😂😭 she ran away from everything. Communication?? Clearly not in her vocabulary because she never discussed anything serious, avoided conversations and set rules so she didn’t have to face her feelings. She doesn’t seem mature at all.

Despite all of this, the ending was cute. I love that they got a happily ever after. I love Cooper. I enjoyed Kay Marie’s writing, and will definitely be picking up her future books.

This book was cute! It took a bit to get into but once I did, I was hooked! Would have liked a little more spice but overall I’d say a solid 3!

Yaaaas! We finally get the other twins story! I loved the first book in this series and couldn’t wait to see what happened from the cliffhanger of the twin switch. This was everything! I love this authors way of writing! Favourite author podium for sure

The Love Rematch was one of my favorites reads of 2023, and after the ending, I couldn't wait for this book and to see more of Sam. While book 1 as a whole was my favorite, I adore Sam.

I felt like the first 40% of this book was so focused on insta-lust and Sam wanting to push Cooper away, that I struggled to find any true connection between the two of them, and was desperate to get inside of Sam's head. Once things started to focus more on why Sam was the way that she was - her motivations for denying her own happiness and her fear of falling in love, the book really came together.

I also loved the role Nina played in this book and enjoyed her random and often poorly or perfectly timed interruptions.

I had a hard time following/understanding the plot but the overall concept and writing was good. I cannot provide a full review as I did not finish reading the story.

I love how fun and sweet they are to each other, how they just were unabashedly themselves and the writing just draws you in, and makes you feel like you’re right there with them! I just smiled and was so happy and laughed so much through this book! I needed it! There was emotion and connection too but oh the BANTER! So much! Ugh I would gobble up so much of it! Did I mention the MMC is a cowboy? Oh sweet Cooper, cowboy man take me away… and ahhh he’s so in love with her. Swoon! His nickname for her! Ahh it so fitting and so cute and cheeky! Just when he can’t get any hotter… just wait!! He’s a… hehe read and find out! Such an enjoyable, TRULY JOYFUL, heart full feeling read! SO GIDDY during this book!

This was my first ARC and it was a success. It has me giggling and kicking my feet. Sam is so stubborn and I loved her for it and Cooper… swoon!!! Definitely worth the read. Can’t wait until everyone can read this when it gets published.
P.S. the Shania Twain parts absolutely killed me hahaha!
