I loved this one - I love a good cutaway diagram and this was full of them - I also like the mix of illustrations and photos showing how things look in real life, and think a lot of kids will love this.

Thank you to NetGalley and DK for the eARC!

First off, this book is absolutely jam-packed with information. It has the standard paragraphs of information in each little subsection but then it has various infographics. illustrations, photographs, and more scattered throughout the pages. The color scheme straddles the line between muted and bright, finding the perfect balance of eye-catching without being too busy. This really does cover all types of technology; From railroads to prosthetic limbs, this book has it all. Every page is visually stunning and is sure to engage any student when it comes to learning about tech!

I was SO impressed by How Technology Works. It is a great book that takes you through all different sorts of technology and shows you how they work in clear language. I learned a lot as an adult, and think this would be FANTASTIC for kids! I found myself really engrossed in finding out how each item worked, and this is the perfect intro guide to those concepts.

Thanks to NetGalley and DK Children for the chance to read and review! My opinions are my own.

‘How Technology Works’ was a fascinating and informative read that was enjoyed not only by our little ones but ourselves as well. There is great information and illustrations that encompass our environments and the correlation between the mind and body as well as its relation to technology.

Additionally, the illustrations do a wonderful and subtle job of representing each ethnicity while highlighting the main point of how technology works in a multitude of many dynamic environments.
