This was a pretty quick read, and while I did stay engaged throughout the book, I feel like it could have used more back story as to how Milo lived his life before going to 'sconset. The characters that Milo interacted with on the island were my favorite part of the book. Without spoiling the ending, I will say that it came on suddenly, and before I knew it, the book was over. 2 🌟
Let Milo Open the Door is a coming-of-age novel set against the backdrop of Nantucket in 1989. Milo's journey from a disillusioned recent graduate to finding purpose at Our Island Home is truly engaging. I enjoyed reading this book because it blends humor with stand out moments of self-discovery, making Milo's transformation feel real and relatable. It's a story about second chances, unexpected friendships, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.
