Thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and give my honest opinion.

Sixth book in a must read in order series which are about the Grim Reaper, the son of Satan, and a ton of friends both ghosting and alive. As always a case or two pops up in this fun read, along with Charley acting like a matchmaker. The gangs all here in this one as Charley quietly wonders if she should agree to marry Reyes as he popped the question on a post it!

What did I like? Reyes popping the question was a fun moment, so Charley is ignoring his question even though it's clear he is expecting an answer. Cookie's shenanigans as Charley sets her up on dates to make her Uncle jealous. We also get some new ghosts, and some great mysteries to solve.

Would I buy this book? It's a real fun book with a lot of imagination and some romance. This is a real great series and I would recommend it to anyone who loves some fantasy with their mystery.

Thoughts for the author? I'm really enjoying this series! Great imagination, and world building. Reyes is a great book boyfriend. Kudos for a great series.

Five wonderful stars for entertainment!

Sixth Grave on the Edge proves that the Charley Davidson series consistently delivers the goods time and time again. Charley stumbles into more trouble with each novel and the cases are unique and interesting. In this book, Charley saves a soul of a grieving father, plays matchmaker, steams things up with Reyes, and fights off death threats from the mob. Action packed and enthralling, Charley just keeps getting better and as always the sarcasm involved makes Charley someone I would love to be friends with. From Cookie to Ubie to Garrett, the supporting cast spices up the story for a great read. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Of course 1/2 way in the series, something big is beginning to happen not to mention what happened to relationship status of Reyes/Charley and Cookie and Uncle Bob/Cookie. This series is sooo good!

OMG!!!! The ending is worth EVERYTHING!!!! I'm loving this series more and more if that is even possible. This is one of the most fantastic paranormal series I have ever read. I swear it does not disappoint. It full of suspense, mystery, laughs and when it comes to Charley and Reyes, undeniable chemistry and steamy scenes. It's about time Ubie and Cookie figure things out and go after what they want. I'm excited to see how things turn out for them. After this review I'm starting the next book in this series and I'm so excited to read what happens.

Charley's at it again. And by that, I mean she's rushing headfirst into trouble. This, quite naturally, is the type of trouble that has a high probability of leaving her bleeding and damaged on the side of a deserted highway somewhere. Not that THAT particular scenario happened THIS TIME, but it has happened in the past. As we all remember.

But Charley's going to be Charley. Even Reyes can't rein her in when it comes to helping others. And, let's face it, Reyes has a pretty lethal glare when he sets his mind to it.

Anywho. Charley's doing her thing. She's learning more about the power she wields and she's getting trickles of information as to why she's actually being targeted by Reyes's father (aka, Satan). Methinks someone isn't telling the entire truth and it's probably the Dark Lord who's a known liar and corrupter.

That's just my opinion, though.

Prophecies. Danger. Bad guys who want to do some very bad things. Ghosts. Demons. Sexy Reyes rushing in to save the day all naked and wet. All in all, it's just another day in the life of Charley Davidson.

I loved this book! So funny and full Reyes Farrow's nudity! Not too mention the cliff-hanger of what Charley's reply to Reyes proposal will be! She makes us wait nearly the whole book for Charley's answer.

Some questions have been raised for me like what the hell Charley's father is up to and what exactly is the prophecy about Charley and Reyes cause you had Rocket telling Charley she had to kill Reyes or the world dies in the last book and now cause she didn't kill Reyes someone else has to die (won't say who!) but someone else is saying Reyes isn't important but she has to survive. Even Reyes isn't sure any more about what his fathers plans were.

Personally, I still have faith that Reyes isn't going to be the cause of any apocalypse destroying all humanity, he loves Charley and he also has other people he cares about, plus he'd never be responsible for the death of a kid, kids are the only ones (aside from Charley, Cookie and his best friend and his wife) who treat him nicely without suspicion or fear.

I think between them Reyes and Charley will prove everyone wrong and save the world rather then destroying it and when that happens I'll be pulling mental faces at Garrett, the Dealer, Rocket and the rest that have badmouthed Reyes!

I will say there are a couple of big surprises at the end but I won't say what! Read and find out!

I love this series by Darynda Jones, and it's one that is a must have, especially if you love a snarky, kick ass heroine! Any book series worth it's salt has to have one of those, as well as a sexy man who walks into your wildest fantasties/dreams! Very well written, and a series worth reading over and over!

Four and a half stars: After plenty of snark and ghostly encounters, this one ends with a jaw dropper.

Charley is still bumbling through life as the grim reaper, though these days she is a little more resolute about staying out of life endangering trouble after her last near death encounter. Trouble, however, seems to follow Charley no matter what. It isn't long before she is embroiled in a money laundering/mafia plot, recovering a soul from a soul eating demon, and getting to the bottom of what is going on with her Dad, while trying to finally get Uncle Ubie to ask out Cookie. She also might learn a thing or two about Angel and Mr. Wong. Of course, there is always Reyes the son of Satan who is now her next door neighbor. What is a grim reaper to do with all this chaos?
What I Liked:
*We are now to book six of a beloved series, and there isn't much I can say about this series that I haven't already said before. This is a series that is full of humor, snark, lots of ghosts, one hilarious grim reaper and a rugged and sinfully handsome male lead. If you are a fan of paranormal romance, this is a must read series. It is one of my all time favorites. Picking up a book by Darynda Jones is like settling in with an old friend. It is easy and comfortable, and I can always count on a good time.
*I am pleased to see that Charley is continuing to grow, though not mature. She is still as ditzy and scatter brained as ever, but she is learning to be a bit more cautious after several near death experiences. She is digging to find out more about who she is and what her abilities are, and she is actually finally learning to tap into those abilities, so hopefully she won't get her butt handed to her again. Charley is a whirl wind of chaos and she will make you laugh. She is unlike any other character I have ever read. I know without a doubt she will continue to entertain me with each and every installment. Charley couldn't do it alone, though she has an outstanding supportive cast.
*I liked that in this book I got some long awaited answers. For instance, I have been itching to know more about Charley's precocious sidekick Angel. I got the whole startling story about his past and his death. I also learned a bit more about Mr. Wong, and I am dying to know more. He has long been a favorite of mine, even though he just hangs around.
*This book has a busy story line with multiple story lines. There was a lot to keep track of, but I was pleased that the majority of them moved forward and that I received some answers.
*One of my favorite story lines involves Charley and Cookie cooking up a scheme to finally get Uncle Ubie to ask out Cookie. It was hilarious and I loved the antics. I am most eager to see where things will go from here.
*Reyes... the sexy son of Satan. I admit I wasn't as smitten with Reyes at first as other readers. I had hopes for Garrett, but he has grown exponentially on me, and these days I love him. I can see that he is the one and only for Charley and I like their relationship. It is more than just heat and sex, it is also about friendship and watching each other's backs. Reyes would go to the end of the earth and back to win Charley and if she puts up a wall between them, he has no problems tearing it down. Love this couple!
And The Not So Much:
*Can you say jaw dropping cliffhanger? I thought book five ended with a stunner. Darynda does it again with a final sentence that changes everything, leaving me anxious for the next book! I will say that it wasn't a frustrating fling your book across the room type ending, because I did get resolution on several of the story lines, but it certainly is a shocker!
*This installment reminded me a bit of book one with its scattered story line, and in fact, this plot had so many things going on it made my head spin. There are numerous story threads and some of them bring up new questions and then leave you hanging, for instance, what is the deal with Charley's dad? That storyline was forgotten. What exactly happened with the police chief? This is a book you have to read in a short amount of time, otherwise I think you would have a hard time keeping everything straight. There is so much going on, but thankfully, most of the side story lines reach some type of conclusion. I wasn't a fan of the scattered plot, and that is the reason for the four and a half star rating.
*Alright... the thing with Cookie and Uncle Ubie... when are we going to get the dirt and the details? I have been waiting six books now for Cookie to get a man.

Sixth Grave on the Edge is another exciting and thrilling installment in a hilarious and brilliant series. I cannot recommend this series enough. It is my go to favorite. It is a series I can settle in with and feel like I am home. If you still haven't started this series, please go get the first book and get after it!
Favorite Quotations:
"The regular cook had broken his leg trying to ski off his roof. Tequila often gave people the desire to tackle the impossible. It did not however, make the impossible possible."
"He's the deep, dark kind of beauty that you'd sell your soul to have."
"Remember, it's all fun and games until somebody loses and eyeball, and then it's, "Hey! free eyeball!" ---T-shirt."
"On a scale of one to stepping on a LEGO, how much pain are you in?---SIGN IN HOSPITAL"
"There should be one line at every store for people who have their shit together. ----TRUE FACT."

I purchased this book. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review.

SIXTH GRAVE ON THE EDGE is the sixth instalment in Darynda Jones’s paranormal/UF Charley Davidson series focusing on grim reaper Charlotte (Charley) Davidson. As with all of the Charley Davidson storylines we find our heroine the target of more than one being-some demonic, some corrupt, many dead but all wanting something in the end. Told from first person POV (Charley) SIXTH GRAVE advances the series but a few days.

There are several focuses in the storyline including a man who lost his soul in a game of cards and Charley’s dogged determination to uncover the truth about Reye’s past. She knows some of the ugly details of his childhood but she will set her sights on the people she believes gave birth to the Son of Satan. When Reyes demands that she stop her investigation, Charley’s inquiring mind doesn’t necessarily want to hear the story behind the story.

We will be introduced to the Dealer-a demon from Hell who knows more about Charley’s predestination than Reyes has revealed. The Dealer offers up ‘a deal’ to those in need but his price is steep and beyond what most people can pay. Charley is drawn to the Dealer if for no other reason than to learn the truth about who and what she has been ‘born’ to do.

Angel, Charley's forever thirteen year old ghostly assistant, will have a more active role in this particular storyline. We will learn the truth about his death and the woman who wants to know if her son is still on this plane of existence. Some stories are harder to tell and Angel's story is one that has been building since book one.

Cookie is her usual manic self-from the brains behind Charley’s PI investigations to the woman who has fallen for Charley’s Uncle Bob, Cookie is a one woman power house who plays off of Charley’s natural sarcastic banter-a perfect combination in any storyline or series. When Charley sets up a series of dates for the voluptuous assistant, Ubie (or Uncle Bob) becomes suspicious when he recognizes one of the men with whom Cookie has been paired.

SIXTH GRAVE ON THE EDGE is not as dark as some of the previous instalments. Charley’s knack for putting herself into dangerous situations continues but any near death experiences will not result in weeks to months of rehabilitation as in the past. Charley has yet to say YES to Reyes proposal and he is a man possessed to make Charley his wife and his own.

The relationship between Reyes and Charley is imaginative, erotic and arousing-psychic sensuality is something we should all strive to achieve. Reyes is the epitome of sex; his allure is far reaching but he is intensely captivated by only one woman-a woman who was made especially for him.

The ending and revelation were not unexpected for this reader but it was a definite twist in the storyline development. When the prophecies have decreed that the Twelve Hounds from Hell will come for Charley, there is another Twelve waiting to protect the daughter they have all been waiting to see.

Darynda Jones writes from the heart with humor, sarcasm, an astonishing concept of friendship and a brilliant mind. The Charley Davidson series is a phenomenal UF/paranormal series that focuses on a kick-a$$ heroine who knows there are limitations to her powers but has yet to reach her ordained levels prescribed in the hierarchy of all things supernatural and decreed.

“Reyes. Alexander. Farrow," I said.

Seconds after I spoke his name, Reyes walked into his bedroom, and I looked across the open space directly from my room into his.

He waited for me to continue.

"I feel like there's something missing from my bedroom."

A dimple appeared at the corner of his mouth. "You don't say."

"Any idea what that might be?"

He glanced around my room as well, then shrugged. "I can't imagine."

"Oh, wait," I said, stepping from my room into his, "wasn't there something here? Like, I don't know, a wall or something?"

He looked up. "You could be right. I do seem to remember a barrier of some kind here."

"Yep," I said, stepping closer, "I definitely remember a partition separating our apartments." When his only response was a mischievous tilt of his full mouth, I asked, "Where did you put my wall?"

He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against his doorframe. "What makes you think I took it?"

"It was there this morning."

"And that means I took it? Maybe you just misplaced it. Where exactly did you see it last?"

I pressed my lips together. "You tore down my wall."

The smile he wore could've charmed the panties off a nun. Completely unrepentant, he admitted, "I tore down your wall.”
