This was actually a really cute short picture book to teach counting with kids. I love Lake Tahoe as a norcal girlie and could easily picture picking this picture book up in local stores for kiddos!

I had so much fun reading this book, the story is so adorable and the illustrations were so well done and charming, there’s so many little details in every page that I couldn’t stop but be mesmerized by it all. I will definitely be recommending it! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy

I love the concept of this book and I am sure there is interested for books about Lake Tahoe. However, the art looks AI-generated or computer-generated. I would not buy this for the library or recommend it.

Counting books are always fun for a little reader. This one has beautiful artwork and would be a great bedtime book.

I appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a cute book. As one with two littles, you can never have enough counting books and I loved all of the illustrations. It was very cute and the perfect length for the audience.

Very cute count to ten book featuring animals commonly seen in Lake Tahoe. Great way to introduce young kids to the concept of counting and animals. Fun eye-catching illustrations as well.

What an absolutely adorable counting book! 𝗧𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗘 𝟭𝟮𝟯 with its colourful illustrations and simple rhymes is both an entertaining and educational read. A must have in any personal or classroom library.

This is very cute! I appreciate that it doesn't use a ton of nonsensical rhyming just for rhyme's sake, as I see too much in children's books these days. The numbers are prominently displayed on a background that allows the child to clearly see and identify them. The counted items are also easy to find and count aloud as you read.
At the right price point, this could be a very cute addition to a children's board book collection- especially one who lives in Tahoe, or is visiting the area soon. I have a lot of stories I could tell my daughter about a Tahoe boat ride, the gondolas, etc from my childhood visits to Lake Tahoe, so this book could easily become a nice long storytelling cuddle if I read it with her.

I am not sure what made me request this book but it was such a cute book and it uses Lake Tahoe itself to teach children how to count. I LOVED the illustrations and they showed the kinds of nature and animals you might find in that area.If I had a small child, I would definitely buy this one and read it all the time to them. I have to say this was one of the most unique books I have ever seen that teaches children how to count...it could be a very interactive book for parents and children to read together...I loved it.

Darling illustrations and clever rhymes guide kids through learning to count to 10. Clever illustration on the last page allows children to search for the numbers hidden in the picture. I can see this book becoming a favorite that little ones will want to read again and again.

*Thank you to NetGalley for the arc of this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

So cute and perfect! I loved the unique theme of this counting book, and there were zero flaws with the illustrations. This book will both engage kids and teach them how to count at the same time. It was an interesting idea for the illustrator to have all of the numbers hidden in the picture on the last page, but it was a good idea! This increases the ability for kids to interact with this book, which is perfect to help little ones learn.
Bravo!

This is a cute and simple counting book with a nice rhyme. I didn’t love it, probably just because the illustration style wasn’t my taste.

3 stars.

Very cute counting book. I loved reading it with my kiddo and she really enjoyed not only the counting but looking for bear and chipmunk each page. The only other feedback I have is that I wish the seasons stuck together rather than oscillating between summer / warm weather and winter / snowy as you turn the page.

When I saw a book about Lake Tahoe, I of course had to pick it up. Living in this area for 55 years I was delighted to see all our native animals in the story. It’s a beautifully designed, colorful story. I actually loved that it started with the M. S. Dixie, an authentic Mississippi paddle wheeler. There is so much to help engage young children in the pictures and talk about all the animals that can actually be seen in the Tahoe and the Reno area.

What an absolutely delightful counting book. The graphics are cute and I'm a sucker for a rhyming structure. It makes the book a bit easier to read in my opinion. I like the way the book toes the line between believable and disbelief. Marmots and chipmunks - believable. Mountain lions on ski - not believable. But captivating for younger audiences. I could see adding this as a board book to our regular rotation.
