I loved this sweet & swoony story! Beachy Keen is book two in the multi-author Falling for Summer series and can completely stand on its own or be enjoyed as part of the series. I listened to the audio book and it was wonderfully narrated in duet narration. Duet narration is where the female narrator reads every female line in the book and the male narrator reads every male line. I thought the narrators were perfect for the characters and I so enjoyed listening to this story.

I really liked both of these main characters. It was heartwarming to see the way Noah viewed Cat, even from the very beginning of the book. You find out that he liked her even in high school and always wished he could date her. He didn’t understand why she disliked him so much both back then and when they reconnected when the story began.

I loved the way Cat began to see that she had some very wrong impressions about the type of man Noah was. It was so fun to see these two begin to bond as friends and the struggle that Noah had with his feelings for Cat while she was his employee. I loved this story from start to finish and thought it was a great balance of Cat and Noah dealing with the reality of his celebrity and billionaire status, while also falling for each other as the people that they truly were.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is officially my perfect beach read recommendation! The characters are raw and real. The plot is awesome. And the romance is scrumptious! Everyone that I’ve already recommended it to has adored it as well! It’s seriously just the sweetest!
I also, really loved the narrators! They did such an excellent job that I got completely lost in the book.

Beachy Keen was such an incredible experience!! Kasey Stockton knows how to write a swoony romance, be it Historical or Contemporary, and this one didn't disappoint! Noah and Cat* had my heart from the start, and I loved how perfect they were for each other. Their support for and understanding of each other was the best, and I loved how their preconceived notions started to change as they were forced to work together due to their arrangement. The chemistry was the best, 🔥 and I loved the nicknames and ALL the banter!! Seriously, chef's kiss! I loved the sense of community (especially with Otto and Cat's friends) as well as how layered and real all the characters felt. Can I move to Sunset Harbor? Asking for a friend 😉

As for the narrators, they deserve all the stars on their own. This was my first listening to a dual narration and now I wish I could experience every audiobook this way! They not only brought Noah and Cat's voices to life, but got all the inflections spot on, as well as had a great range of voices for the rest of the cast, while at the same delivering on the gasps, laughs, and deepening voices #swoon I can't recommend them enough!!

Overall, this was a great read that features a beautiful community, a swoony romance, deals beautifully with the themes of mental health and the loss of parents, and I can't wait to grab the next one and dive again into the world of Sunset Harbor. ~ 5 stars

Many thanks to #Netgalley and the author/publisher for the complimentary copy of #BeachyKeen. All opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and are given voluntarily.

This book was so cute! I loved this book and am loving this island these books are set on. Cat and Noah had me giggling and I loved how sweet they were together. I loved that Noah was a closet nerd! The Lord of the Ring references were so amazing and I loved them. This was all around a fun summer read that makes me want to go sit on a beach dreaming of happily ever afters.

Billionaire romances, I mean, can they be real?

This book is fabulous. I tis a real escape from the world and well written. It was not just a bit of fluff, the characters had depth of emotion and while being fun, funny and a slightly unbelievable topic, the characters felt real.

An average story with a below average audio. Duet narration was NOT the right way to go here, it was extremely distracting. The story of a childhood crush thwarted by bullying is so awkward to listen to. There are way too many moments where the grown male lead is thinking romantically about the teenage version of the female lead. The way it's written comes across creepy and weird. I had to tap out at around the 60% mark when he was thinking sexy thoughts about how to comfort her regarding her past trauma of being bullied.

What a fun little beach read! This is my first book by this author and you can see how she is able to incorporate characters from previous books and weave in the ones for her upcoming books.

There was not a character in here I didn’t like, even Olive was able to redeem herself! Noah is warm and fuzzy and so damn smitten. Cat carries the weight of the world on her shoulder, which is so relatable, and she is determined to do anything for the people she loves.

The relationship between Cat and Noah evolves pretty naturally, but I did feel like Noah saying “I love you” so soon after they got together was a little jarring.

Overall, the perfect cutesy read to toss in your beach bag!

Look, I usually am a fan of celebrity romances but I don’t normally pick of billionaire type stories and after reading Beachy Keen I’m starting to think I should!

This story is cute and light and all the good things an easy beach read should be. I would happily take this book on vacation and ignore everyone just to fall in love with Noah Belacourt. Because that man 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m so glad finally saw the light, because I was going to start shaking her if she didn’t.
Fun and flirty, I loved being on the island with Cat and Noah. Also, I’m slightly partial to workplace romance…. So Noah being Cat’s boss? Yes. Please. You’ve got me there, Kasey. ;)

Thank you netgalley for the ALC, all thoughts are my own ♥️

This is a standalone, but part of an interconnected series of seven books from the Falling for Summer Series!

I loved the writing. The reasoning and tension was valid and you could feel it between the characters! This was such a happy and sweet summer read!
This is a cupcake sweet book, no spicy scenes.
Other things I loved…..
☀️He falls first and harder
🌊Billionaire
☀️She sees him as an enemy
🌊Anxiety rep
☀️Takes are of him when he’s sick
🌊Boss/ assistant

3.5 out of 5 stars.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you, to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to read this book as an audiobook!

LOVE LOVE LOVED the narrators for this book. They made the story come to life and their voices were just perfect for this story!

Kasey Stockton is an author that if I see a book out for her, I will read it. Her books have the best vacation/beachy vibes and her romance stories are so much fun! The mental health representation was definitely an added factor that led to me enjoying this book.

I do not know why, but I am always a sucker for billionaire romances and then you add in a beachy location and I. AM. SOLD.

Make sure you grab this read for the summer; I read the majority of it on vacation (in Florida, no less) and it was perfect for lounging and swooning.

It’s not a secret that I’m in love with the Falling for Summer series and Rylee Kuberra and John Rogers did a fantastic job of bringing this one to life in a dual narration.

Noah and Cat come from vastly different worlds–one with money and one without–but their common thread is a childhood on the island of Sunset Harbor. The meet cute is one to remember.

I love how Stockton develops such great characters and there is definitely more than meets the eye with them. Struggles are a part of life and while the hardships are represented, they are delivered in a way that doesn’t feel heavy–the light, romcom vibes are sweet and strong, striking the perfect balance.

I loved reliving this beachy story and falling all over again.

Billionaire Romance meets his past!

Synopsis: Cat Keen has lived on Sunset harbor her whole life with her uncle after her parents tragically passed away in a rip tide. In middle school, her bestie, Olive Belacourt miserably took her soul and smashed it to pieces….. but what happens when she runs into her ex best friends brother? Welp she avoids him and attempts to smother any relationship. But when he offers her the job of a lifetime to help her save her childhood home, can she continue to avoid him?

Review: This book was so cute. I loved the way that Kasey showed the deeper side of Noah Belacourt. I loved how I got to see different characters from the other books that I have already read. I loved that there was a theme of forgiveness and letting go.

If you enjoy billionaire romances and have loved the Sunset Harbor series, then this book will be totally up your alley.

Content: Anxiety
Romance: Clean with some super flirty kisses

The story of Cat and Noah was simply beautiful. Having grown up together, Cat despises Noah for many, quirky reasons, and Noah has no clue about her disliking of him.

One day, they run into each other and Cat, being the ambitious, hard worker that she is, ends up with a job WORKING for Noah!? Their initial run in with each other on the beach was hilarious to me 🤭🌊 and the way that they *eventually* grow a friendship and more was SO sweet.

Noah was lowkey a nerd - which I LOVE - because, hello, I’m (maybe not so lowkey), a nerd! Cat was also so precious. Her heart was so big, and I really loved watching her and Otto’s (her uncle) relationship as well. All Cat wants in life is to build love & her family, be a homemaker (I LOVED this aspect because that’s what I am💕🥹), to be surrounded by supporting friends, and to be fruitful! I thought this was SO sweet. Noah was an amazing rep for anxiety and I thought it was all really well-executed and relatable. ❤️

this is a closed-door, billionaire romance where he falls first that is SO worth adding to your tbr…or swiping your tbr to read immediately ✨

Cat accepts a wildly overpaid position as PA to billionaire, Noah Belacourt. There's an ancient history of childhood crushes and bad blood with his sister, but Cat is desperate for the money for her uncle's medical bills.
Both characters are individually working through personal hurdles. Noah's anxiety just made me want to wrap him in a huge hug. He's so sweet and sincere but I'd absolutely second guess his intentions just like Cat. I really struggle with a billionaire romance as it often times is too-good-to-be true and doesn’t come across as believable. I think my unanswered questions for why they’d grow up in the space ultimately impacted my enjoyment for their chemistry and connection.
I’m torn between my opinions on the narrators. Rylee Kierra is a fun voice to listen to especially for a lighthearted rom-com. I wouldn’t hesitate to listen to another from her. On the flip side, I just did not care for John Rogers much as his performance was lackluster at best.
Thank you to the author and Dreamscape Media for the alc. all thoughts are my own.

If you haven't read any of the Summer Novels based in Sunset Harbor, I highly recommend that you move them up to the top of your TBR list. I'm reading them out of order because I'm disorganized, but I've loved every single one of them so far! The authors did a fantastic job with interweaving the lives of many different characters on an island off the coast of Florida. This island happens to be populated with many rich single men, so if you are looking for a Billionaire romance, this is the place to start.

Beachy Keen tells the story of Kat and Noah; they have known each other most of their lives and Kat is his family's maid, unbeknowst to Noah. When he moves back to Sunset Harbor for a much needed break from his job, he runs into Kat and ends up hiring her to help her with her financial difficulties.

Here are a few of the themes in the book that I enjoyed reading about:
- Fear of the ocean
- High medical bills
- Cancer recovery
- Difficult families
- Overcoming mental illness difficulties

Overall, this is a fantastic book! I would categorize this as a sweet romance, appropriate for teenagers and older who are comfortable reading about kissing but who don't want any closed door scenes. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance listener copy of this book. A review was not required.

Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton

The first story I read in the Falling for Summer series and I haven’t been able to stop since.

I love a good billionaire romance. Especially when said billionaire is down to earth like our dear sweet Noah 👏

Cat makes for a great for a great female lead. I loved her hustle and her giant heart. (I also love all the appearances she makes in other books in the series. She’s the island bestie.)

The romance is tender and sweet and sizzling. Another fantastic summer read!

Unfortunately, the audiobook wasn’t my favorite. Whatever equipment the male narrator was using was not it 😅 and when they would do the dialogue back and forth his always came in late.

A quick summer read! I enjoyed the book for what it was but overall, it wasn’t for me. There were so many subplots with repetitive dwelling… just **communicate**. The romance seemed more background and centered around the subplots.

There was so much tension of the good, swoony kind in this book, and the narrators depicted that so well. I love love love duet style narration, because most men cannot affect female voice well at all. I love when the characters get to just lend their own voices to their dialogue no matter which POV the chapters are in.

Money is a huge mountain to climb for most people out here in this economy. Times are rough. So, I really appreciated how respectfully and decently Noah talked about and employed his own wealth.

The relationship between Cat and her uncle Otto is so precious that it’s absolutely worth noting. The fact that Cat knows and is thankful for his uncommon goodness and affections made her so winsome in my mind. I also loved how directly and maturely Cat deals with *most* conflict. The fact that she sees Noah’s respect for personal boundaries and values that… QUEEN.

Noah is a gentlemen’s nerd. I’ve said it before but let me say it again: true love should let you ENJOY WHAT YOU ENJOY! I’m going to let Biceps McDaniel watch LOTR as many times as he wants, and he’s sat through both versions of Pride & Prejudice with me this week alone. Loved those moments for Noah & Cat.

As with every contemporary romance book by Kasey Stockton I've read this was another delight. Kasey has a way of engaging the audience with humor and wit but without making the book seem silly. Very enjoyable!

This is a story of two people who grew up on a small island off the coast of Florida before one of them moved away. Now that Noah is back on the island and interrupting her life, Cat has to decide what to do with the feelings of attraction that are beginning to bloom between them. When Noah finds out that Cat needs some extra funds for outstanding family medical bills, he hires her as his assistant while he’s temporarily living on the island to take some time off of work and help manage his anxiety.

What I enjoyed: positive discussion about mental health, managing panic attacks and anxiety, the benefits of speaking to a therapist

What I didn’t love: the financial difficulties combined with secrets between Cat and her paternal figure, the development of the romantic relationship happening almost exclusively while they were working together, the conflict/sort of third act break up

Overall, this was a light beach read that provided a summery setting and romance

Read if you enjoy:
☀️ forbidden romance
☀️ forced proximity
☀️ beach setting
☀️ financial differences
☀️ anxiety rep
☀️ wholesome romance

Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for an advanced audiobook copy of this story. All opinions are my own.
