This was a cute billionaire romance and I enjoyed the progression of Cat and Noah’s relationship. They had that forced proximity because of the boss/assistant situation and I loved that he had a crush on her long ago and she always misjudged him. There was great anxiety representation and the island setting of Sunset Harbor was so fun.

The duet audiobook narration took a little bit to get used to, but I thought it was well done.

This book is light and fluffy and full of romance novel tropes. If you’re in the mood for a quick, easy beach read it will definitely hit the spot. The end is satisfying, despite being totally predictable. This book left me feeling light and airy. A cute and wholesome summer read. Exactly as advertised.

3.7 rounded up to 4.

Such a fun book! Right from the beginning, I was drawn in by the fun meet cute. Although Cat and Noah know each other from their childhood, it’s been years since they last saw each other because Cat avoids the Belacourt family as much as she can.
🏝️
Forced proximity, workplace romance, trip, family drama, sickness, a touch fake dating and friends to lovers. So many of my favorite tropes! Plus I love Kasey’s books and this series is set up fantastically with interconnected stories and characters. It makes it fun to read familiar characters or places and where they’re all at on the 4th or the storm.
🏝️
The audiobook is so immersive with the dual narration and even having them do their own voice in the other chapter POV. Like if it’s Noah’s POV chapter and he’s talking to Cat, the narrator for Cat will actually speak. That’s not usually done in audiobooks and you’re stuck with a man trying to speak like a woman for that part or a woman speaking like a man.
🏝️
The audiobook released this week. Thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for the alc. These are my own thoughts and opinions. I can’t wait to read/listen to the rest of the series. 🎉

ADORABLE!!! I could not stop listening to the audiobook. A new to me author, it was a light funny read with lots of heartfelt moments. I will try to read the rest of the books in the series, this is the second I’ve read and also loved.

‘Beachy Keen’ is a summery NA billionaire small town romance. It is part of a series written by multiple authors. As this was my first read from this series, I have not quite figured out if there is a specific reading order. You can follow this book without a problem without having read any of the other books. It is hinted that there are other love stories, though, and I think some characters are reoccurring.

This book focuses on Cat and Noah that are enemies; at least if you’d ask Cat: She does not like Noah or his family, because Noah’s sister bullied her in high school and his family is so rich and snobbish that they even have their own reality TV show. Noah has a different perspective: He has been crushing on Cat since high school and when he figures out that Cat has some money issues, he offers her a job as his part-time personal assistant, in hopes of helping her out and getting closer to her. While it’s a good reason to be a bit apprehensive, Cat's animosity towards Noah in the beginning was a little misplaced in my opinion. Because they go from enemies (kind of) to friends to lovers, I would categorize this as a slow burn romance with the trope ‘he falls first’ which I adore. There is also a fair amount of miscommunication, which is less ideal.

I did like the story and this couple; I was just missing some more chemistry. I just didn’t swoon for them for some reason, which is why this was a 3-star read for me. I will watch out for other books in this series, though, because I did enjoy the setting and the overall premise of interacting stories.
I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the duel narration. Both of the narrators did excellent jobs, but why does female narrator not know how to pronounce Bagel? (it kind of reminded me of the TV show community).

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for gifting me this ALC of the audiobook to review. All opinions are my own. I was not paid to leave this review.

If you like a billionaire romance, long time crush with employer/employee issues thrown into the mix this is the summer read for you!
This is the first book that I have read/listened to by Kasey Stockton and I loved it (I listened to the audio book version) and after listening to it I learned that it is part of a 'Falling for Summer' series of books by seven different authors which is new to be but definitely intrigues me enough to check out the other books in the series.

The male and female narrators were both great and added to my enjoyment of listening to this books.

A highly recommended summer read. 5 stars from me!

It was my first duet style narration, where the male and female read their own lines. It took me a minute to get used to this new style, but the narrators, were so fun and perfect for Cat and Noah.
This was my first foray into billionaire romance. Turns out, dating a billionaire (vicariously through a book, of course) isn't all yachts and champagne flutes. This guy wasn't just rich; he was the cutest, most humble person... with runner's abs to boot.
What really melted my heart, though, was how the book tackled some heavier issues-therapy, anxiety, panic attacks. Cat and Noah not only fell in love but also became each other's support systems, encouraging personal growth and helping each other confront their fears.
This gem is the second book in the "Falling for Summer" series, and if the others are anything as adorbs as this one, my summer reading list is a whole lot sweeter.
Here's one more swoony quote to convince you... "I don't want anything in the world right now as much as I want to kiss him. But he is my boss, and not interested, and Olive's brother, and disgustingly rich, and so so so hot."

Okay okay this was pretty darn cute. The MMX was swoon worthy and the FMC was sweet too. I recommend it!

He’s a billionaire on an anxiety induced forced break from work. She’s busy running the family B&B with her uncle, and scraping every penny together to keep things going.

Cat doesn’t have time for anything more. Until an unfortunate run-in with Noah. She can’t stand him and his family, but he’s offered her a job she can’t turn down. A job that will force Cat to have to spend a lot of time with Noah- something he very much wants.

Can Cat move past the hurts of her childhood and let her feelings for Noah exist?

This duet narration by Rylee Kuberra and John Rogers is absolutely perfect for the story. It made all the banter and nicknames so much more fun.

Listen to this audiobook if you want to laugh out loud and love sweet, sassy main characters.

The perfect summer escape read…and look at me enjoying a billionaire romance! It’s not my favourite romantic trope but I’m discovering never say never when I find gems like this.

So yes, Noah is a billionaire — born one and will likely die one — there’s just too much money for him to go through in one life time. 🙂 He’s part of a highly public family (I got Kardashian vibes) but he’s not a fan of the limelight and he’s struggling with a personal issue that has him seeking tranquility in the small island town he grew up in…where his teenage crush just happens to still live.

Only Cat is not a fan of all things Belacourt. She has a painful history that has coloured her opinion of the whole clan. Stuck up, holier-than-thou snobs, the lot of them (in her humble opinion.) Cue the enemies to more trope and settle in for a delightfully funny, achingly sweet love story…with just the right amount of heartache and drama to keep things interesting.

Love the way their relationship develops over the course of the summer. Cat is so stubbornly determined to not give an inch and it was fun to watch Noah gradually wear down her defences. Lots of lighthearted moments with some swoony toe-curling ones thrown in! But since they are both struggling with some serious personal and family issues, there’s plenty of scope for depth and character growth which makes the read that much more rewarding.

I listened to the audio edition narrated by Rylie Kuberra and John Rogers. I quite enjoy listening to a dual narration, especially for a rom/com and I feel like they captured the essence of these characters perfectly. Made the comedic parts that much funnier and the serious parts more emotional. Excellent performances that kept me captivated to the very end.

My thanks to the publisher, Dreamscape Media and Net Galley for providing me with an audio edition of this book.

Thank you Dreamscape Media for the ALC to read and review!

This was super cute! I loved the duet narration and the narrators were wonderful.

Expect —> small island community, rich guy/orphaned girl, unrequited crush, he falls first, bad blood between families, boss/employee

Cat has always been the beautiful and unattainable crush in Noah’s life. Now he’s back in her orbit and she seems to hate him. When she accidentally spills all her shuffles, Noah can’t help but find a solution. If it forced her to spend every day with him, all the better.

I love a sweet summer romance and this one checked all my boxes. Noah’s anxiety was a huge part of this book and I loved how Cat was with him. They compliment each other so well.

This was a perfect lite fun summer romance. I love the light heartens of this book.

Noah and Cat both grew up on the small island and Cat had a rough childhood with the loss of her parents and Noahs family was the it rich family. They were never friends and she had past issues with his family. But he returns for the summer and Cat is trying to make extra money to help with medical bills for her uncle and she does the last thing he thought she would do and takes a job working for Noah.

I love how it starts as a job and not trying to be friends to getting into a groove and how she makes his life better and easier and he does the same for her. The building of a relationship felt so natural and I became a real big fan of them and became a great summer read. def can't wait to read more!

Thank You NetGalley for this Audio Arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

This series does not disappoint, y’all! It just keeps getting better! Kasey’s contribution, Beachy Keen, is fabulous and wonderful and I’m still swooning over it.

Cat is basically the sweetest and I love her. I love her family oriented priorities, I love her work ethic, I love her ability to accept apologies and to change her perspective. I just really love her!

And let’s be real, Noah is one heckuva swoony Moneybags. I absolutely love that he is humble enough to accept ideas, help, and suggestions from others, and that he learns to put himself out there for Cat. I loooove how much he cares about Cat (the whole “he falls first” trope might be one of my faves!) and the ways he tries to take care of her while still letting her be independent and know he isn’t trying to throw money at all her problems is just SO GOOD!

Y’all, I have been hesitant about billionaire romances in the past, because they don’t seem relatable and I don’t really want to read about spoiled rich kids. (Am I judging the genre unfairly? Possibly. But that’s where we’re at.) But Kasey has me converted. Seriously, if anyone could do if, it would be Kasey. I am all on board. Especially if the MCs can all be as amazing as Noah is.

Okay, here’s a list of things I love about this book:

He falls first (you knew that would be here!)

Nicknames

Anxiety rep

Vulnerable MCs

Honesty in communications

Mature MCs

Cat’s relationship with Otto

Mateo

The little beach cove scene

Opinions about running

Noah’s assistant wages—ha!

Jam sessions (it’s not what you think)

Blackberry picking

The scene with the rug

The ad campaign

Cat’s advice to Bree

Noah going soft with the dog

The island friendships

The family party

Nursing back to health!

Noah’s tender heart

The beach kiss!

The epilogue!

Seriously, I loved this book so much! Don’t sit on the fence with this one; just jump in with both feet. The water is fine, and the party is great! Okay, that’s a lame line. The book is much better than my lameness. Like a billion percent better. Just read it. ;)

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Narrated by Rylee Kuberra & John Rogers — This narration is so good. I love the narrators! They are perfect for the characters, and do a great job bringing the book to life. Also, it’s a duet narration, which means that even in the female POV chapters, the male narrator reads the male lines, and vice versa. I worried it might be a little weird, but I actually loved it! Basically it’s a fantastic book with a wonderful narration and I highly recommend!

**Many thanks to the author, NetGalley, and Dreamscape Media for the book. A positive review was neither requested nor required. All thoughts are my own.

It was cute but also felt a little toooooo cheesy and not enough depth for me. I just wanted more. It was quite slow and I was ready to be done. I love a long time crush trope but it felt a little OTT. And I was annoyed with the but he's a rich guy stuff. But still it was cute if you want a light fluffy beach/summer read. The audio was so well done. I love how the guy and girl voices did anytime a guy or girl was talking.

It’s hard to choose if I love Kasey’s romcoms or her historicals more, but I’m glad I don’t have to choose because there is no way I could! I have so much love for this billionaire, secret crush romcom.

This book is an absolute delight. I can relate to Cat so much. Especially for her love of cleaning. I also loved the mental health rep was a male. (This is the second book I’ve read recently though that had this. And I loved the perspective.) Noah struggles with anxiety and it is done well. Recognizing it’s okay and powerful to get help. I appreciated how Cat and Noah both worked on their insecurities and issues together.

There were so many funny and sweet moments. I couldn’t even begin to list them. And Noah and Cat had some great banter. I also listened to the audio of this book and the narrators were perfect.

I received an eARC from the author and a huge thank you to the publisher for the Netgalley approval for the audio. All views and opinions are my own.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the advance Reading Copy. This is an enjoyable summer romance that made me feel like I was on the island and beach with Cat & Noah. I enjoyed the friends to lover trope. Some of the dialogue and situations felt awkward to me as the listener so that's why it's rated 3.5 stars vs. 4.

Beachy Keen was the perfect Summer romance/beach read!

Cat & Noah have known each other since they were kids and Cat was even friends with Noah's sisters, but somewhere along the way they turned into enemies. When Cat is in financial trouble, Noah steps in to help and Cat is all but forced to accept. As their working relationship takes strides, their personal relationship does too. We all know things aren't always what they seem and as they develop their personal relationship, certain truths finally start to come to light.

Will these truths mend their past and give them the future they didn't even know they were looking for?

Getting to know Cat & Noah was like meeting new friends. I liked Noah instantly because you could just tell he was a genuinely good guy. I related to him so much with the Anxiety he deals with and I felt seen! Cat also resonated with me in the sense that she has experienced loss and is a hard worker trying to make her own way in the world!
