LOVE this story! The whole series has been just delightful and so enjoyable! Noah and Cat are so so delightful to follow. Their love story was lovely with the mutual pining, the old crush that never really went away, and the tension that is palpable. The audiobook was perfect. The narrators did such a great job of bringing them to life!

I reread this via audio and adored the duet narration! I just love this book—100% worth a reread just a month after reading it the first time.
Book two in the Falling for Summer multi-author series is so stinking good! He falls first (like way back when they were kids, first), secret crush, billionaire, falling for your boss, slow burn fantasticness.

Things I Loved:
-Buttmunch Belacourt
-Scarf-ocean debacle
-Water sloshing debacle
-Uncle Otto
-All the rich nicknames
-Pinky and the Brain reference
-THAT KISS.
-Blackberries
-Rat-bird 🤣
-Plaza tour
-Caretaking while sick
-Secret room ♥️
-The whole ending!

So much delicious tension, hilarious banter, some deep themes, and the best summer vibes. I just loved this whole story!

These stories are interconnected while remaining standalone. The connections are so fun, it has me wanting every single book to come!

Trigger Warnings:
Past—close relative with cancer, parental loss in accident, & bullying.
Current—parents divorcing, MMC dealing with anxiety.
All handled with care and maintains a romcom vibe while adding great depth. ♥️

Props to all the authors who collaborated to make a series interwoven but all written separately!

I wanted to like this but it was just okay. I did like the mental health representation but really struggled to get over the resolution?

There was minimal- if any- tension between Cat and Noah. Their constant miscommunication or lack of communication was frustrating and the characters felt flat to me. Noah was such a weird character. He struggles from anxiety but the way he talked about his body was cringy. And Cat just kept repeating the same problems throughout the entire book? I’m still not sure why she hated him outside of his sister being her bully. And how did she get bullied so bad that he didn’t even notice???

The writing felt a little all over the place. Some parts I felt like it was fine like it was in the moment and others felt like I was being retold a story after it had happened (weird dialogue).

The audiobook for Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton is the ultimate summer escape! This book has everything you want in a beach read! With amazing narrators, a charming setting, a hottie billionaire, and an unexpected romance, this book has it all!

Noah’s adorable crush on Cat makes this book irresistible, and their chemistry is off the charts, but will bad blood between Cat and Noah’s sister be too difficult to overcome?

With delightful scenes, like sandcastle building and blackberry picking, strong family bonds, and working to overcome personal struggles, Beachy Keen is a heartwarming read that will keep you smiling from start to finish!

#huge that you to #netgalley and @dreamscape_media for the audiobook copy!

This book hit so many of my favourite tropes. I'm a sucker for a small town x billionaire combo. It's one of my favourite trope combinations. Make it a beachy small town and a boss x assistant dynamic and I'm done for.

Cat is a strong and independent boss woman. Her character arc demonstrates her growth of accepting help while still holding onto your morals when the easy route is dangled in front of you. She was an entertaining and relatable character doing what she can to get by and support her uncle while running a B&B and working as a billionaire's assistant.

Noah was such a sweetheart. He gave me the warm fuzzies that made me want to just give him a hug. He was overworked and needed a break and found himself distracted by the woman he hired as his new assistant while he's away from work for a forced mental health leave.

I will ALWAYS be a fan of duet narration. I think more people would be audiobook lovers if more audiobooks were performed in duet. I recognize it's likely more expensive, but my gosh its such a pleasure to listen to. Both of the narrators did a great job of keeping me engaged and interested while bringing all the characters to life with their dynamic performance.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the advanced listener copy.

This was one of the audiobook that i thoroughly enjoyed a lot as the characters were well penned and so was the plotline.
The characters were well drafted and penned down in such a charming way that they had my heart from the starting till the very end of the book. The plotline was well paced and written in a very simple and easy narration that listing to this audiobook was fun and quick. I am definitely going to read rest of the works of this author.

Kasey Stockton has quickly become one of my auto read authors. I have loved every book I’ve read from her. The romance regardless of the genre is swoony and perfect every time. I have yet to be disappointed by her and honestly, doubt I ever will be. Her latest, Beachy Keen, is a prime example of this.

Noah and Cat are the cutest couple. The way their relationship developed throughout the book was perfection. It wasn’t rushed and felt like a normal growing relationship. They both have things that they need to overcome, and I loved that the other was aware of those things. Noah was the absolute sweetest and so patient with Cat. Cat is headstrong but also understanding of Noah and his needs.

This summer read is going down as one of my favorites! I absolutely loved every minute I spent with this book. I couldn’t wait to go back to Sunset Harbor when I had to put it down. It came to life on page one, and had me feeling all the feels. I loved it so much that I have already listened to the audio book, which was just as fantastic as reading it the first time. The narration was superb with dual narrators.

“Beachy Keen” is a part of the Falling for Summer series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I’ve heard the rest of the series is amazing. I have plans to read the rest soon, and I will definitely be rereading this one!

Thank you to the author for a gifted copy.

This was a fun summer read! I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. The themes around trustworthiness and forgiveness were really well done and added some depth to the story! Noah is the sweetest and was trying so hard to be professional! It was cute to watch him struggle. His family is definitely unique but it seems like some of them are redeeming themselves. I am interested to see which characters the other books in this "series" follow. I don't know if I will read all of them, but I might eventually! Overall, I enjoyed this book and the narrators were great too! Love a duet narration and dual POV book!

This book was a delight! I loved how fun it was while still being clean. I think clean romance gets a "boring" label often and this one wasn't boring at all! I loved our characters and their struggles felt real and I was rooting for them the whole time!

This one is such a great summer read! I honestly love how smitten he was with her and how they both wanted to settle down with a family- so wholesome! His struggles with anxiety felt relatable, as did her struggles with grief and childhood bullying.

🌀Synopsis
Cat needs money quickly. Her life is going great until she finds a medical bill that is overdue, by a lot! Her uncle, the one who raised her, battled cancer and beat it. It came at a cost, apparently, and now their business is at risk. Not able to face the reality of leaving their island, Cat takes a job she needs but doesn’t want working for Noah- the rich and famous.
Noah has been exiled to the island to recover from some crippling anxiety. He’s had a crush on Cat since he was a kid and is desperate to help her out. He hires her as an assistant but immediately finds himself attracted to her again. He’s keeping his secrets though, not wanting to let her in on his drama or his family’s.
When Cat and her uncle come together to discuss the hills she realizes she can quit working for Noah and she does. Noah doesn’t let her go and uses the opening as the perfect opportunity to date her since she is no longer his employee.

I have thought long and hard on how to rate and ultimately I figured honesty is best. I just couldn’t get into this story. The main character was a bit whiny and unforgiving and a little on the wishy washy side. I wanted to like this as I’m a fan of the author, but this one wasn’t for me. Thank you for the chance to review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ALC Review

This fun, adorable and romantic summer read is part of the Falling for Summer series. The series takes place in Sunset Harbor and each book features different residents of the small town island. The characters appear throughout the series, but each book can be read as a standalone. It is such a fun and unique series due to it being written by multiple authors and it takes a “connected series” to a whole new level of fabulous!

In this read our main characters Cat Keen and Noah Belacourt have a history and are brought together again through a comical accident.

The narrators for this audio book are Rylee Kuberra who reads the role of Cat Keen and John Roger’s who reads Noah Belacourt. Each narrator did a great job and I enjoyed the dual narration, it added good depth and made the characters feel real. Things to enjoy:

👙 Forced proximity
🩳 Billionaire romance
👙 Opposites attract
🩳 Secret crush
👙 Sweet summer romance/romcom
🩳 Mental health representation

Quote: "BESIDES, GUYS THESE DAYS ARE JUST NOT THE SAME. GIVE ME JAMES DEAN LEANING AGAINST A CAR ANY DAY."

Thank you to the author Kasey Stockton and Net Galley for the advanced copy of the audio book!

This is my review for the audio book Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton. I thought the duel M/F narration was great. The voices matched what i imagined the characters to sound like. The story is a perfect summer feel good read. It’s part of a series, but you can read it as a standalone. It is a clean, wholesome fun romance. There’s also an insightful look at mental illness and the different ways people cope with it. Cat and Noah both grew up on the same small island, each having a crush on the other, but not knowing it. Cat was best friends with Noah’s sister Olivia in middle school, when out of the blue Olivia turned mean girl. From then on Cat wanted nothing to do with the Belacourt’s, until Noah showed up on the island for the summer. I love the chemistry between the two main characters and the connection that drew them together. I also loved the relationship Cat had with her uncle Otto. The story pulled you in and held on throughout the book. I’m so ready for the rest of this series, all of the books are written by great authors. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I am endlessly grateful to Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this audiobook via NetGalley! These are my honest thoughts.

If not for Dreamscape Media, I never would have discovered Kasey Stockton! This is my second book by her, and I'm quickly finding that I enjoy her writing style and character development!

This book is part of a multi-author series, but I thought it stood up so well as a standalone! You could tell seeds were planted for future characters, but I just simply enjoyed the present story we were in and Kasey's ability to weave heavier topics, like the death of a parent or anxiety attacks, with a lighthearted beach read vibe. It kept me engaged, entertained, and made me feel so many emotions along the journey!

This had childhood enemies-to-lovers vibes, with multiple redemption stories along the way. I loved that the MMC, Noah, was a flawed billionaire who just wanted to take care of the people he loved, and it translated so well into the life of our FMC, Cat. I also adored Cat's desire to take care of the legacy her parents left behind but also to care for her uncle. It spoke volumes about the people they are, that they both made sacrifices and special agreements to work together. Both Cat and Noah have something to lose in this book, but together, they're stronger.

This is a really solid beach read, and I give the audiobook a really solid 4 stars. I liked it a lot! The narration was fantastic, the cover is cute, but there's also so much depth behind the cute cover. This is a clean romance that I think most people will enjoy!

I finished this one but it wasn't my jam. There was a lot of telling versus showing, a lot of repeating the obvious, and there were so many unnecessary mentions of La Croix that I wondered if they were a sponsor. It's a 3 star for me but I think that is unfair to the author because I think it's intended audience will really enjoy it. There were some cute moments. The narrator was great.

Thank you to NetGalley for a review copy.

Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton is a funny and sweet beachy read! This story follows Cat and Noah set in the fictional town of Sunset Harbor.

Catalina Keene is stressed about money once she discovers that her uncle has more debt than she knew. Cat runs a Bed & Breakfast with her uncle, which is a full-time job, and she already has multiple extra jobs. She worries she will lose her home and business when a unique opportunity presents itself.

Cat receives an offer from the last person she would expect to see on Sunset Harbor, Noah Belacourt. Noah is a billionaire with a family full of drama and a sister who bullied Cat when they were younger. Cat can’t pass up the job offer Noah presents and thinks she can make it work for the summer.

Noah has returned to Sunset Harbor for a break from work due to mental health reasons. He is hoping to relax and get a handle on his anxiety. He did not expect to run into his long-time secret crush, but after learning about her financial difficulties he finds a way to help her without her rejecting the money.

Cat and Noah have easy and fun chemistry. They easily banter and get to know each other on a deeper level. They learn new things about themselves as they get to know one another. I love the town of Sunset Harbor and it is the perfect setting for this summer read.

If you are in the mood for an endearing summer romance filled with beach photo shoots, golf-cart rides, and homemade jam-making sessions this book is for you!

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"I can't help but smile. She thinks I'm doing her the favor, paying her a ridiculous amount for handling my dry cleaning and coordinating the lawn guy's appointments. She doesn't realize I'm the one who wins here. I get to hang out with Cat Keene all summer long."

Read if you like:
* Enemies to Lovers
* Secret Crush
* Dual POV
* He Falls First
* Boss/Employee
* Billionaire MMC
* Anxiety Rep.
* Small Island Town
* Closed Door RomCom

This book is summer romance perfection! It's sweet, funny, flirty, and romantic, all while thoughtfully handling hard real life issues/topics (family, anxiety, bullying, grief, forgiveness). Kasey Stockton is a must read author for me. I love that her books are so character driven and full of heart and humor.

Noah is the absolute sweetest! The way he just gets Cat and really sees her was everything. I love that he's secretly been crushing on her for so long and she has no idea. Due to events in her past, Cat strongly dislikes anything having to do with the Belacourts. However, she is so kind hearted that she's not able to hate on Noah for long, but I love the sassiness she shows with all the nicknames, even as her heart is thawing towards him.

The audiobook narrators did a great job! They sounded age appropriate, their voices fit the characters, they read the story in an engaging way, and their pacing was spot on.

I highly recommend the audiobook of Beachy Keen as well as the physical book. I had the opportunity to read/listen to both and enjoyed them both immensely!
