This book was just delightful! Very time I pick up a book written by Kasey I know I’m going to love it. These characters were well rounded and they had such great chemistry. They both had lots of tough things they had to work through. Cat was bullied as a youth and has lots of childhood trauma to work through and Noah get anxiety and panic attacks. Both of these issues were addressed but it didn’t overwhelm and drag the story down. This was part of a series- it could be read as a stand-alone but I’m really invested in the side characters so I want to read the other books as well. This book was engaging and hard to put down. I also got a copy of this on audio- it was amazing! The narrators were great and the story was easy to follow. I love when they have a male and a female narrator- it makes listening to the story so much better.
Say Hello to my newest favorite Kasey Stockton book; Beachy Keen was ADORABLE! I loved this book.
Right from the start, I knew Noah was going to be a new fictional book boyfriend for me. He is the epitome of the cinnamon roll hero and I loved his good GOOD heart.
Cat carries a chip on her shoulder toward Noah simply because of his last name, family, and bank account. When some unexpected medical bills pop up, she swallows some of her pride to work as a PA for Noah. I love how Noah was so good at reading Cat and recognizing how to help her while meeting her where she was at and what she needed. They both experienced some good character growth in their individual story arcs and I like how that also grew them as a couple.
Something I really enjoyed in this story was a bit of a reversal on the hero/heroine rolls. Noah may have been wealthy and seemingly put together, but he struggled greatly with anxiety and I thought the author so genuinely and kindly addressed this part of his character and really represented it well. For being a billionaire, Noah was incredibly relatable in his down-to-earth way. I just loved him and Cat so much.
I had a chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book. The story is told in a duet fashion with the dual POV as well. I loved the two narrators together; they had chemistry as they brought Cat and Noah to life. I also felt like their voices matched what I pictured for Noah and Cat and represented their ages and maturity well. I will definitely listen to this audiobook again and I highly recommend the audio version.
This is a clean romance that will make you smile and believe in happily ever after.
Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the advance listening copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book had me hooked from the very beginning! I was instantly invested in the characters and their lives! I loved Cat and her determination to do anything she could to help her uncle pay his medical bills. Noah had such a sweet heart from the beginning. Cat had never given him much of a chance since his sister bullied her in school. But I loved that she got to know the real him and look past her previous judgements. I’m a sucker for longtime crushes finally getting a chance and this one did it so perfectly!! I also really appreciate an aniexty rep! So relatable!
This was a solid read! I’m not familiar with this series, but it definitely stands alone. I will definitely check out more from this beach series though, because the Bellacourt family has me hooked!
I loved how well the author built anticipation between Noah and Cat. It never felt contrived or forced. The love story will give you all of the feels and pull at your heartstrings, while also forcing you to pull your hair out because you want the main characters to be making out.
The story also includes excellent anxiety representation, giving readers a glimpse into panic attacks, how they affect train of thought, and how to soothe them.
I only knocked a star off because I didn’t love the bullied sister storyline. That felt like an additive that I was missing key information on. Maybe this is something that happens, or is further explained, in another book?
But if you’re looking for a sweet, beachy, closed-door romance that will leave you swooning, this is it! Add it to your TBR.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I listened to the audiobook for this one and thought the dual narration was well done. I don't always love dual narrators simply because I usually prefer one over the other and then there is a let down each time it switches to the one I don't like as well but in this book I liked them both. Well done.
Though a light read, this book does deal with some difficult topics. Cat was bullied in middle school and has to face her abuser. And Noah and Cat both have anxiety issues. Noah's was at more of a crisis level but both were legit problems that needed to be dealt with. Since I'm currently dealing with anxiety I appreciated how the author handled the topic. Noah's parents were in the middle of a very unpleasant divorce and Cat lost both her parents, so yeah, I think there were a lot of sensitive elements in the book.
I liked the main characters and the story and thought the narrators enhanced the story as well.
No sex, language or violence
*I received a complimentary audiobook through NetGalley and voluntarily chose to review it.
Beachy Keen is part of the Falling for Summer series but will work just fine as a standalone. The story takes place mostly on the fictional island of Sunset Harbor that’s off the coast of Florida.
Cat is a local on the island. She has no intentions of ever leaving. She lost her parents when she was young and her uncle raised her. Her uncle was sick with cancer but thankfully beat it, but now the medical bills are piling up.
Noah is also a local from a rich family but he is usually not on the island. He is back on the island due to panic attacks requiring him to take a break from work. Noah finds out Cat needs money so he hires her as his assistant.
Cat and Noah have a history and I loved learning more about the two of them and their families. I never knew there was a subgenre of romance books about millionaires. This made me want to check out more books like this.
I love that even though Noah came from a family that’s rich, powerful, and famous he was still always down to earth and would always put Cat first.
This is the perfect book to read while relaxing on a beach this summer.
This was a cute summer rom com! Perfect for me to listen to while walking in the sunshine. LOVED the narrators and John’s voice is 🤌🏻😻.
The book flowed great, except for when they were filming the commercial.. Omg That part just went on and on and on… AND ON! That scene could’ve been WAY shorter 😂
Also, maybe it wasn’t mean to be miscommunication, but the lack of communication became miscommunication 😅 it made for some interesting moments!
Regardless of those two things, I really did enjoy the book and story and suggest you go read it too! Or listen to the audiobook like me!

This contains an audiobook review.
Beachy Keen is a closed-door/kisses only contemporary romcom that is part of the Falling for Summer series. It is a standalone story that incorporates characters from the other books in the series. Each book is written by a different author and can be read in any order.
Noah Belacourt is a billionaire that is dealing with some anxiety issues. Cat Keene is an islander that works as a housekeeper and at her family's bed and breakfast.
I could relate to Cat because I clean houses and that isn't usually an occupation found in books. I enjoyed that aspect very much.
Noah and Cat have an up and down relationship with plenty of wit and banter. It was fun to see their relationship progress.
I am really liking this series and look forward to reading more of these books, especially since many of them are written by some of my favorite authors.
I listened to the audiobook. It is a first person, dual point of view story read by a female and male narrator. It is read in a duet form, meaning that the male narrator reads all dialog for all male characters even if it is in the female character's point of view chapter and the female narrator does the same. I really enjoy this type of narrative and was very happy to find it in this book. Both narrators did an excellent job. I don't believe I had heard either of them read before but would like to listen to other books they read.
Content warnings: anxiety issues discussed and described, death of parents (past), dysfunctional family relationships including infidelity discussed, bullying (past) and it's consequences.
I would like to thank Dreamscape Media, Kasey Stockton and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy of this book.. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love a good billionaire romance with dual pov! Perfect summer read and this was an easy 5 star for me. Let me tell you, it's got all the swoon-worthy vibes! Noah is the epitome of cinnamon roll hero and Cat is a hardworking fiery heroine. I was so hooked with their heartfelt chemistry.
The dual narrative in this audiobook is so good! I love it when the narrators do synchronized performances in every chapter, where the female narrator captures all female dialogues and the male narrator portrays all male dialogues. I wish all audiobooks are like this! It adds a whole new layer of immersion, making the characters feel more real and the story even more engaging. It's an absolute must-listen!
All of the components for a perfect summer read are alive and well in this book. Super easy read/listen that kept me engaged. The audio production did a great job, however I did find the change to the male narrator to throw me off a bit. I’m not sure if the pace or volume was different between the two readers, but it always took me a second to refocus. Overall this is a great little read perfect for the summer.
I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"No. Apparently, you've been into me since middle school. Caused a lot of problems with that crush, Belacourt."
Beachy Keen was all kinds of cute, with lots of emotions in between. In this, you will meet Cat and Noah. A long, long time ago, they had crushes on one another. In a perfect world, they would've known about this, gotten together at a young age and been happy for the rest of their lives. In the real world, lots of drama happened, and she now despises his family. Or, at least, she did despise his family.
Thrown into close proximity, she becomes his personal assistant for the summer. He knows about the money troubles her family is in and is willing to help. She's willing to work for him because she needs to extra cash to pay for her uncle's medical bills. Together? I quite liked them. Especially when we finally find out what happened when they were younger.
It's safe to say that petty drama happened. I'm glad that Cat and Noah found their way to each other because they were a pretty cute couple. They both saw each other on a deeper level and helped calm each other down when needed. I also enjoyed the chaotic Belacourt family drama.
In the end, I'm glad that everything is out in the open and everyone can move forward in their lives. I'll have to check out the other books in this Falling for Summer series just to see all the corny drama and romances blossom.
3.5 stars. I think it is impressive that this series has each book written by a different author, but involving the same setting and characters. Overall, I thought this one was ok. I struggled at times with how the author portrayed mental health issues, and how they were handled. Although I liked the idea of the plot, the romantic tension between Cat and Noah was minimal....and the lack of communication was frustrating at times. I did love the Sunset Cove setting and the glimpse of small island living. I miiiiiiiiight check out another book in this series.
Beachy Keen is a fun, sweet summer rom com set in Florida. I am not normally interested in billionaire tropes, but I love Kasey Stockton and I love beach stories, so I wanted to give it a try. I still don’t love billionaire tropes, but I did love Noah! He is just an all-out nice guy who is head over heels in love with Cat. Cat is proud and works hard to care for her uncle, so when Noah offers her the perfect job she can’t refuse. Of course, there are hidden motives and miscommunications, but I did enjoy the story unfolding and watching these two become friends. I appreciated the mutual respect and just the fun chemistry. It is just a fun beach read. I especially enjoyed listening to the audiobook narration, which really brought the story to life.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGallwy and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.
Cat Keene runs a B&B with her uncle on the little island where she grew up. She's content with her life and happy to keep it as is until she finds an unpaid bill from when her uncle had cancer that could mean losing their home. Noah Belacourt is a billionaire who grew up on the island but doesn't really live there. He's staying at his parent's house on mandatory leave from his job after a panic attack puts the company at risk. They never really had anything to do with each other as kids beyond Noah's little sister making Cat's life a living hell in school, but they both had crushes that a random (and adorable) meet-cute on the island brings back to life with a vengeance. Can they work through their differences and pasts to see their way into a future together?
I really liked both Cat and Noah because Stockton makes them fully rounded characters that go beyond the sunshine small-town girl and the billionaire in crisis. You get to see different sides of them over the course of the story so that you know they'd be fine on their own but they're perfect together.
I also appreciate that the stakes are never really that high. Everything can be somewhat easily resolved and that makes for a relaxing read that's all about the romance.
Rylee Kuberra and John Rogers do a great job narrating it, especially because someone decided to actually mix up their voices when Cat and Noah have conversations and it just fits with the story. They bring the characters to life by instantly infusing them with personality.
Summer reading at its finest. The slow-burn romance with both of them wanting to deny their feelings for valid reasons that could easily be resolved if they only talk it out makes for a couple of frustrating moments, but the friendship they develop is so sweet that I'm willing to overlook everything else.
Delighted thanks to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Golden Owl Press for the sweetly romantic read!
Beachy Keen is a cute, sweet and clean summer romance that is part of the Falling For Summer series written by different authors, it reads totally fine as a standalone. I thought this was just the perfect escape. I loved the town of Sunset Harbor and I definitely will be checking out the others in this series. Perfect for summertime reading!
Cat & Noah were just precious together. Noah was so aware of her feelings and what she needed. The mental health rep in this book is really well done and I truly appreciated that. It was also the male which I thought was different from the books I've read. Also, the cutest was she takes care of him when he's sick, not the other way around, that was truly refreshing. Everything felt so realistic, from the characters, emotions and actions, it felt like they were my friends.
This is the perfect easy little beach read that you will be reading from cover to cover in one sitting. Can't wait to revisit this town and characters.
🎧 The narration by Rylee Kuberra & John Rogers was good. I liked that they both did their part in each other's POV's it wasn't the male doing the female voice and vice versa. I feel like you're more into their conversations when it's like that. I thought they represented the characters perfectly, they kept me hooked and intrigued through the whole book. Great performance.
✨️Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscapemedia, @kaseystockton for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.
3 stars for the book, but 2 stars for the narrating. The story is very cute, with likeable characters and a fun plot. The narrators, especially the male narrator, are very robotic. It was better once I adjusted the speed to 1.25, but just barely. It goes to show that narrators can really make or break a book.
💻Noah and Cat🥨
Cat needs to pay some bills, big bills. Noah is more than willing to give her (another) job to help her.
The issue? Cat’s family had a disdain for Noah’s family. Not to mention, Cat has more than a little animosity towards them for her own reason.
When Noah gets his chance to show Cat that he’s more than a Belacourt, she begins to second guess her presumptions about him.
This story is so sweet. Noah honors Cat in many ways. Cat has been through a lot in her life and he sees how strong she is.
I loved that Cat cleans and cooks and is depicted as a strong woman. There was mention of, “starting a family” and the whole image just sort of made me feel seen! I do have a day job, but my main job is cleaning and cooking for my family as well as taking care of the kids. My husband does his fair share of all of that as well, but he works twice as much as I do. Anyways, you can be strong, competent and have seemingly menial tasks that also make a difference in people’s lives. Rare to see in a book.
If you’re looking for a closed door summer romcom with longing and a bit of angst and all the romance, here it is! The audio narrators did a wonderful job!!
This was a cute, easy summer read or listen! Forced proximity romances are some of my favorites and Noah was really so sweet to Kat. This is a closed-door romance, but there was still plenty of attraction there. Overall, a sweet story, just didn't blow me away.
It's always romantic when a guy gives adorable nicknames to the one he's obsessed with, but you know what's even sweeter? When the girl reciprocates the gesture with her own ✨💕.
I adored the nicknames Cat gave to Noah. Watching their relationship evolve from awkward to comforting to something more intimate was so fun. Noah's constant care and attention to Cat's comfort was simply perfect 🤌. This was the ultimate summer book ☀️⛱️. The audiobook was also an absolute gem 🌊.
Thank you Net Galley, Dreamscape Media and Golden Owl Press for this audiobook.
This audiobook was so well done. I loved the different narrators going back and forth with their perspective parts and they weren’t trying to narrate the opposite sex.
This book is the perfect book for summer. I really enjoyed this story and listened to it in one day. Cat and Noah were so cute together. Their first kiss was 🔥
(I listen at 2.5 and could perfectly understand and follow the storyline)
