I started off this series loving the storyline and the adventure that came along with it. I had my complaints about how certain characters acted in the first book (Lor and Gabriel, so so sorry, I understand now) but now I can’t believe I had any doubts on how they would grow on me. They have both grown so much to the point where I am proud of literal fictional characters.
Lor has been through so much, trials, battles, and family troubles. Can’t a girl just get a break? Unfortunately, of course not. Tale of the Heart Queen follows Lor as she finds out what happened to her beloved and what she must do in order to save all of Ouranos from the Aphelion queen of the first age. Will her troubles be all for nothing? Has she lost the one she finally agreed to love? All good questions.
All of the people we have been introduced to, and shown how some just might have changed their ways was interesting and heartbreaking to see in the end. But what was done had to be done and we learned that fate just has a way of doing things, you know?
Without giving away too many spoilers I just have to say I appreciate the fact that Lor isn’t the only one in her family to be special, that her and Nadir’s family kind of even eachother out in a way. I’m a sucker for side character progression so of course I loved this aspect of the story too.
All of the trials, plot twists and heartache these characters have experienced throughout the four books of this series has been one wild ride that I will gladly read again, and hopefully we can get little tidbits of their lives sometime in the future once they settle into their new roles.
I had so much fun reading this last book but I am sad that it’s over!

Absolutely incredible! Loved every second of this book and series. I can't wait to see what more comes from this Author. I am going to recommend this series to every person I know.

Happy to finally have read the conclusion to this series! I wish I hadn’t taken quite so much time off between reading books as there was so much I’ve forgotten, but I was satisfied with the conclusion for Lor and Nadir.
A lot of this book felt a bit like filler plot lines, and I didn’t love the choices made around editing, as it was quite long. But it’s a series I treasure and would definitely re-read one day. 💕
3.5 stars rounded up
Thank you to NetGalley and forever pub for the arc which I am belatedly finishing!

The end to an amazing series! I loved this series so much. From the first book until now this series has just been such an adventure! I am so grateful to Netgalley, the publisher and Nisha for the E ARC!
Lor destroyed her own happiness. Losing control, losing her mate... Was not something she thought she would be facing. Lor wanted to be free, she wanted her people to be free. That's all she'd ever hoped for but now she will do anything to get her mate back and END the Aurora King. Lor truly learns just how powerful she is as she rises up as the Heart Queen in the finale of The Artefacts of Ouranos!
It's over... I'm not sure what to do now! This series was so captivating. There was so much adventure! The ending was satisfying yet saddening! (Just because there is no more.) This book has more spice than ever, Lor finds out just how powerful she is, Nadir's love is truly undying! Everything about this book was perfection! I loved the decline of the Aurora King. I was only worried for half a second Nisha would give him a different ending... But alas she gave him a fitting end. I was so intrigued by the return of the Heart magic, I kind of wish there was a bit more exploration into it but the book was pretty packed as is. The number one thing I loved was Nisha bringing us back to the beginning with a gift. *Wink Wink* No spoilers here!
This series will be one of my top series for sure! Now the hard part is to find something to cure the book hangover I have...

I LOVE NISHA AND I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!! Her writing is so fun, this series is amazing, and I felt so connected to both the plot and the series.

This book is the last of the series and it was amazing!! I’m so sad that there won’t be more of these characters because I loved them so much! Thank you Nisha for writing and creating these characters and this story 🩷

This was an amazing ending of an absolutely perfect series! Lor and Nadir will always have my heart!
Thank you netgalley and publishers for an eARC in turn for an honest review

Artifacts of Ouranos by Nisha J. Tuli
Tuli’s romantasy series details Lor’s journey from obscurity to the throne. Trial of the Sun Queen introduces Lor twelve years into her imprisonment at a work camp with her two siblings. One day, she is taken from solitary confinement and awakes in a castle as the latest contestant in a contest to become the next queen of a nearby kingdom. Lor doesn’t have a clue why she was chosen, but she will do her best to survive if it means freeing her siblings and securing their safety. In a world manipulated by an ancient fae ruling class, one’s skill with magic and politics can mean the difference between life and death. Lor’s hidden ability to manipulate them both might just change things for the better.

This was a massive, emotional, and unexpected ending to a series I’ve been fully immersed in. I didn’t know how Nisha was going to wrap everything up after the third book, but she pulled it off with twists I didn’t see coming and moments that made me want to reread the entire series just to catch everything I might have missed.
Lor and Nadir still own my heart, even though their time apart in this one left me missing that romantic tension I loved earlier in the series. I felt the slower pacing in places, but by the end, it all made sense. The multiple POVs helped expand the world and made the stakes feel even bigger.
Some parts were a little heavier or more drawn out than I expected, but the emotional payoff and final chapters made it worth the push. I’ll definitely be thinking about this series for a while.

A good an ending to an interesting series! The first book started off pretty strong and kept me intrigued enough to want to read the rest of the books. However, in books 2 and 3, I felt like my interest was waning a lot more than I thought it would. Definitely had a lot of potential but instead of elevating and building on the momentum from the first book, it felt repetitive. This book had a great ending but I felt like I had to push through for most of it just to get to that ending.

This was SUCH a great ending to the series! The multiple POVs really provided context and world-building while Lor and Nadir really shined as well established main characters! Highly recommend this series!

Thanks, Forever, for the arc!
Each book in the ARTEFACTS OF OURANOS series builds upon the last book, and when the third book, FATE OF THE SUN KING, ended, I had no idea how Nisha J. Tuli would end the series in one book. She managed that feat at 672 pages later - the longest of the series. It was nothing like I expected or, to be honest, wanted in some instances, but the way she formed the story ending and the way she included so many surprises made it a memorable epic fantasy conclusion.
Ending fantasies are complex because I can love one character while another friend hates them, and vice versa. But that is what makes reading with your friends fun! This series is excellent to buddy read and talk about as you move through the books. The final book gives a lot of whoa moments that you need someone to be there with you, whether they are good, bad, or ugly.
When I started the first book with Lor and Nadir, I never expected the final book to end up where it did, but it was quite the journey. Now that I know the ending, I want to go back and read it again to see if I can catch anything I missed before. Plus, I just really love being with Lor and Nadir! They are truly an excellent romantasy couple!

What a brilliant conclusion to this series. I absolutely love Lor and everything Tuli writes is an instant buy. The action was non stop, the spice was spicing, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Definitely recommend this series!

Thank you so much to Forever and Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this book!! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.
This series is utter perfection and I won't take any other opinions.
I'm so glad I started this series when I did so that I was able to binge the entire series in a single year. Because I honestly don't know how I would have waited any longer for this amazing conclusion.
Nisha J Tuli is an all around gem to the romance world. And this series highlights everything I love about her work. It's complex with a diverse cast, classic tropes we all love with a fresh twist, and romance to completely swoon over.
This conclusion did such a fantastic job wrapping everything up without making it feel too clean or too easy - which is such a hard balance to hit! And as much as I loved this series and its ending I'm pretty sure I'd read a dozen more books in this world.

I really enjoyed this series as a whole, but struggled a bit with this book. As often happens, I had a hard time really embracing the story when the heart of it, Lor and Nadir, are separated. I did like that everything was tied up nicely, but it felt slow at times and all I really wanted was more of their romance.

Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha J. Tuli is the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable series that I am absolutely obsessed with! After reading the first three books, I was eagerly anticipating this final installment, and it did not disappoint. The book picks up right where the last one left off, diving into high-stakes action as Lor and Nadir face off against the Aurora King. Their love story is at the heart of the plot, and their bond continues to be both deeply emotional and inspiring. Nadir remains the ultimate book boyfriend, and their devotion to each other is genuinely beautiful. The story also highlights the strength of found family, with characters like Gabriel, Tyr, and Rion having their moments to shine. Though the lighter humor from Lor's perspective was missed, the multiple POVs enriched the narrative, giving me a deeper connection to each character. Lor’s struggle with her powerful Heart magic and the consequences of her past decisions heighten the tension and stakes, keeping me on the edge of my seat. This series blends high-stakes fantasy with deeply personal stories, and Tale of the Heart Queen ties up every plotline perfectly, leaving me emotionally satisfied. Nisha J. Tuli has crafted a series that I’ll never forget, and I will eagerly read everything she writes from now on. If you love slow-burn romance, complex (but easy to get into) world-building, and unforgettable characters, this series is an absolute must-read. 10/10 recommend!

This is such an amazing conclusion!!! 10/10 recommend everything about this series.
I'm obsessed with Lor and Nadir's relationship and their lovely found family.
I will read EVERYTHING that Nisha writes.

While I loved the entire series and felt connected to Lor and Nadir, Tale of the Heart Queen was harder for me to stay focused on. I still really enjoyed the story and the ending was satisfying but it took me longer than I expected to get through it. All in all I give it four stars rounded up from 3.5. Love Nisha's writing style and look forward to continuing to support her in the future!

I absolutely loved this series! I stretched out reading the last book as long as I could because I just didn’t want it to end. And the whole soap and "I’m going to ruin you" coming full circle? EPIC. Definitely a series I’ll be rereading down the road. Cheers to "that b*tch took my soap!"

That was rough, which is unfortunate because I really enjoyed the beginning of this series. It slowly declined and was dragged out in book 3 and book 4 was not even necessary but I needed to know how it ended.
Too many new characters were introduced that weren’t necessary to further the plot; events were happening that didn’t even need to happen and were easily explained away after never being brought up in previous books; Lor never changed or went through a character arc through that whole series and sassy rage was just her personality by the end; the happy ending was all too convenient for the strife the characters went through the whole book…. At this point the final book could’ve been a standalone maybe from another POV and ended the series at book 3.
I’m bitter because I like recommending this first book but idk if I will recommend this series as a whole. This one was rough to get through.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
