A beautiful end to a series that stole my heart. Every characters story was wrapped up in a perfect way.
Wow! What a trip this one was! I honestly did not know what was going to happen next. Like, what a rollercoaster! I was here for it, though! Lor and Nadir had quite the journey to their happy ending but I so enjoyed their story. It was beautifully done and it did not disappoint. I also enjoyed Gabriel’s POV and the side story of Atlas, Tyr, and Aphelion. If I could pick one word to sum up this book, I would say EXCITING! It was a fantastic conclusion to an awesome romantasy series! Thank you so much to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this amazing ARC!
After the heartbreaking cliffhanger of the last book I dove right in as soon as I got this
I loved the conclusion. Nisha J Tuli set herself up for a fairly impossible task having to wrap up so much and she does it all. Some things wrapped up better than others, but everything got its ending and that was very satisfying.
Lor is a completely different person at the end of this series as she is at the start. Through each book you can see how she’s slowly evolving to get to where she is on the final page.
Nisha J Tuli brings you on some expected quests but then she pushes you off a cliff. She breaks your heart as she’s making it pound with anxiety. In the best way.
This was an extremely solid series.
This was absolutely my favorite book in this series! There are the classic Multiple perspectives and timelines, which at times were a bit confusing and jumped around more than I’d prefer. The ending is stellar - both resolving conflicts and character arcs without feeling trite and unearned.

This was absolutely amazing and just absolutely Wow!
I am floored and need a minute to compose myself!
After the cliffhanger ending of book 3, Fate of the Sun King. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Tale of the Heart Queen, book 4 and the conclusion of the Artefacts of Ouranos series.
This was so bittersweet and I found myself stalling to finish this book as I really didn’t want it to end… I will be going right back to the beginning to start it all over again. I cannot get enough of this series and the truly outstanding characters that have come to mean so much to me, that Tuli has so meticulously cultivated and beautifully crafted.
This instalment was the whole series on steroids… amped up and all happening at once it is epic and something that will keep you up at night until the early hours of the morning and it will stay with you.
Fast paced and action packed…
The narrative flows flawlessly and the world building is truly outstanding and immensely epic in every sense of the word.
The twisting plotline has you on the edge of your seat from the first page right to the last! A work of art.
The characters are so well crafted you will feel a deep connection with them all. I absolutely loved Gabriel’s character in this book. His development throughout the series was truly on point. You cannot help but feel for him.
I am totally captivated by Nadir. He is all I would ever want in a man. Protective and broody and as hot and sexy as the aurora he is named after… and totally devoted to those in loves.
Lor, is an amazing character development throughout the series is awe inspiring. She is feisty, strong but doesn’t trust easily…and for Gods sake don’t take her soap.
Nisha. J. Tuli, is an absolute master of her craft, and it shows in the pure brilliance of this series!
You will find yourself feeling an array of emotions throughout this book… A tale of betrayal, love, power hungry and good overcoming evil.

Series Quotes:
My heart lives outside of my body now, bleeding out on the hard-packed earth where I kneel on the unforgiving ground.
“I will follow you until the very end. Into the fires of the Underworld if I must."
“Eyes on me, Heart Queen. Because I'm going to f* cking ruin You.”
“That bitch look my soap.”
“I want to kiss her. Partly to shut her up, but mostly to feel those lips against mine and bask in that savage anger.”
3.5 stars - this review contains some spoilers.
I think this was a good ending to the series. Everyone’s character arcs were completed well. The spice wasn’t overbearing and didn’t take away from the story. The ending paying homage to the soap was hilarious and I loved the little “Easter egg.”
I loved that there were still some Gabriel chapters.
I did think the book felt rushed, there was a lot going on with all the different plot points with Zerra and the underworld and all the other courts who were just there and did their part.
Overall, it was a good book and a good end to the series!
Longer review to come but first thoughts: WOW. What a lovely conclusion to this incredible series!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
*Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
ICONIC! I thought this was by far the best book of the series and it was clearly well thought out. I appreciate how many of the little potential plot holes were filled and the 🌶️ wasn’t overbearing. Bringing back the soap had me cackling and I’m happy with the ending not being something too predictable.
Great ending, wrapped up the story beautifully. And didn't leave alot un said. I hate seeing this series end but I'm glad I can get off the emotional Rollercoaster
I highly anticipated reading this book, especially after the previous book’s ending. We were left in a bind, our hearts shattered. How would we get out of the mess we ended with?
I’m not quite sure how to articulate how I feel after finishing this book, and the series as a whole. I am satisfied with the ending of the series but this book had so much going on and most of it ended up feeling rushed to me. It was almost as if it could have been broken up into 2 books. Every time I found myself wanting more in a scene, it would wrap up and the next plot point would begin.
After some of the absolutely heartbreaking chapters in the previous book (Gabriel’s, anyone?), I was really looking forward to delving more into some of that than I ultimately got. And then we were introduced to several new characters but didn’t end up spending too much time with most of them.
I enjoyed the book, but not as much as the previous ones. 3.5 stars.
Thank you to the author and Net Galley for an eARC of this book.
We open this book after the devastation Nisha left us when she killed off Nadir. Ok so seriously, that ripped my heart out and stomped on it to the point I actually cried. Lor and Nadir had gone through so much for her to finally get her abilities unlocked to loose her crown, the arc and then Nadir all in the space of a few chapters. That left me with whiplash, but it was so exciting to read that I didn’t put the third book down. I may or may not have went to the author Facebook group and freaked out about if this book series would have an HEA bc let me tell you if he really was dead, I would not be ok. She assured us that her series would have an HEA, so we just had to have faith in the process. And let’s face it, that process was PAINFUL. The waiting….thank goodness for Net Galley and ARCs bc I would not have made it to November. These books are thoughtful, original, engaging and keep you reading to the point you just do not want to put them down. Plot is first to the smut and spice which I appreciate. I also, now retrospectively looking at the series, appreciate that she made us wait for it. We got that sweet taste in book two after a whole lot of enemies to lovers to forced proximity to healing through the trauma and learning how to trust. We saw the backstories from the first age. We understand now in a satisfying way how Zerra became who she is and how she was made. That woman having her hooks in Nadir did piss me off, but it all serves the greater journey for our FMC. Lor was not a weak character or someone who needed a man. She needed no one, she is her own gd castle. I love reading strong FMC, and this delivers on that ten fold. I love the world Nisha has built. I can follow the magic system without needing a flow chart, and the history laced throughout the books gives you so much introspective knowledge that enriches the entire world. I really loved the chapters that go backward in time, and I love how she ties it into whatever is happening with our main characters. This series is so good that it’s now holding a place in my top three favorite of all time. I will read it again. I will listen to it again too, and you better believe that the second the audio book is launched, I’ll listen to it immediately bc Corvin King might have the sexiest voice on earth and his Nadir makes me melt. This series is truly everything, and it rivals ACOTAR for me, which should indicate to every human reading this that you should immediately buy it and buy the audio books. The story is fast paced and picks up in the first pages of the first book, and we aren’t reading through all the major action in the last 100 pages like some fantasy fiction books. This series has captivated my heart, and I own every edition that’s been printed now from the OG indie hardbacks to the special editions that have come out. READ IT. You’ll thank me later.
What a fantastic way to end an incredible series! While I’ve loved every book in this series, this one might just be my favorite. The final installment delivered everything I could have hoped for and more. The depth of character development was phenomenal—each POV and backstory added layers that made me feel like I truly knew these characters as if they were real people.
The ending was emotional and powerful. I found myself tearing up as the characters’ hard work and struggles came to a head. The resolution was bittersweet but so worth the journey. It picked up right where the previous book left off, which was a huge relief after that intense cliffhanger! The story flowed smoothly, keeping me hooked without a dull moment.
The multiple POVs were handled beautifully. Instead of feeling overwhelming, each perspective felt essential and unique, adding richness to the narrative. The mix of plot, humor, and gut-wrenching emotional moments was perfectly balanced, making the story all the more immersive.
Overall, I loved this book and the entire series. The final novel wrapped everything up neatly, with no loose ends left hanging. The resolutions were a blend of sad and happy, but they felt just right. I can’t recommend this series enough—10/10. I absolutely loved it.
I am very grateful and thankful to receive an e-ARC for the finale of this series.
The Artefacts of Ouranos series is one that I was instantly obsessed with from the beginning. The series only became better and more complex for me with each book.
The biggest worry for any reader is that the final book in a series doesn't live up to their expectations or the rest of the series. I am happy to report that Nisha absolutely nailed the finale!
Tale of The Heart Queen is full of excitement, intrigue, danger and every emotion. At times I had to put it down only to have a breather from the excitement or worry.
The characters continue to grow, and some you never thought would ever change at all.
Buckle up, readers, and enjoy a very satisfying conclusion to a very exciting and emotional journey.
Book 4 in the Artifacts of Ouranos series, Tale of the Heart Queen, takes us on a journey of despair, hope, laughter, and tears.
I LOVE how this story wrapped everything up. There was so much struggle and growth for Lor and Nadir, but also to watch the side characters in their change and acceptance of their lives directions was incredible!
Gabriel is still one of my favorite characters ever. He's just so... HIM. And Tyr. Oh, sweet Tyr. There was resolution for everyone and I'm just so happy for them.
HIGHLY recommend this series. Get started now, as this book will release in November and you want to be ready for it!
Thank you so much to Nisha J. Tuli and her team at Forever for letting me review an ARC of this incredible book!
This was by far my most anticipated book release of the YEAR. I finished Fate of the Sun King and immediately needed this book. Out of every fantasy I’ve ever read, this is my #1 series. The characters are so complex, the storyline is so gorgeously put together, with just enough mystery to keep you on your toes and hooked. Everything wrapped up so beautifully at the end, and through my tears, I finished the book. Nisha will always be one of my favorite authors because of the way she tells her stories in such a special way. I cried, I laughed, I told my friends all about it. Recommending this series to all my friends ASAP.
Overall this series was a wonderful ride! I have enjoyed the world building and especially the character Gabriel. However, I did find this last book a little predictable, not a fatal flaw but a little disapointing.
Nisha J. Tuli could give a master class on completing a series. Tale of the Heart Queen is the perfect ending to an absolutely stunning series, leaving no loose ends and giving our beloved (and not so beloved) characters the endings they deserve.
This may be the highest stakes book yet, and that is saying something! Lor, Nadir, and Gabriel still cannot catch a break, and now some of the events of the past that they wanted to brush off and not think about, they have to face head on. Gabriel's story focuses on the events that took place in Fate of the Sun King and picks up exactly where it left off, with a giant headache and a lot of recovery to get through. Meanwhile, Lor and Nadir have to figure out how to survive their ending from FOTSK and eventually make their way back to each other, knowing they are better together and will accomplish more together. There is a lot of grief, trauma, and forgiveness in this book, and no stone goes unturned leaving no mysteries at the end. Even our side characters see a lot of action, and are given endings, and for that I am grateful.
I do not reread many books, and usually never series. This is a series I WILL reread in the future and I am already excited to, just thinking about it. While we will miss Ouranos, I am excited to explore Tuli's other titles. I recommend this series to all romance and fantasy readers, and anyone who wants to try romantasy. If you've enjoyed Sarah J. Parker and Carissa Broadbent, you need to read Nisha J. Tuli ASAP!
This was absolutely spectacular- I did not want it to end! Everyone’s story was wrapped up seamlessly and got the endings they deserved. The writing was exquisite as always and I felt like I was there with the characters. The story progressed at the perfect pace and moved between POV seamlessly. I didn’t want the story to end but my heart was so warm and full when reading the ending!
I’m so sad to leave this series but this was the perfect way to wrap everything together.
The story picks up right where we left off (thank you Nisha J Tuli for ending our suffering) and the chaos never ends. There’s so many big full circle moments, tie ins from the past books, and reveals that kept me hooked the whole time. The switches in POVs fit perfectly and I love how it wove the story together. It’s hard to conclude a series but this was so well done and fit perfectly for them.
Here are a few of my favorite things…
- an FMC in her revenge era? Yes please. So often it’s the MMC and we love that but Lor deserved this moment
- the sprinkle of wholesome moments throughout the book got me right in the heart every time. It was great balance of action and tender moments
- lol another soap moment we all wanted
- mate bonds just get me every time
- so many perfect family and friend moments
Overall, this felt like the perfect conclusion to a great series.
Would I recommend? Yes!
So sad their story is over but it was the best ending to a book series I’ve ever read. I’ve been so impressed with how the story continues to develop into each book but all the way through to the end. The twists and turns continues to happen and in such a great way! Anything by this author: Nisha J Tuli is wonderful!
