What an amazing conclusion to this series! After what happened in the third book, I was a little nervous for what was going to happen in this one, but it was the best conclusion I could have asked for! I loved Lor and Nadir in this book so much more than the others. They finally got the ending they needed (and deserved). Having the different perspectives filled in backstories and timelines. I'm sad to let this series go, but I'm so excited to continue reading NJT!

I don't even know where to begin.

My heart... I feel like I won't be the same after finishing this series. I usually fly through books, but I found myself going slower, just because I wasn't ready for it to all end.

Book 4 picks up right where that crazy cliffhanger left us. You need to buckle up for the rollercoaster you are about to go on!!
In Tale of the Heart Queen, we get Lor, Nadir, Gabriel, and Rion's POV. It was very interesting to get Rion's thoughts and reasons behind all he did.
What a beautiful ending for Lor and Nadir. After all the struggle and heartache they have endured over the course of their lives- we finally get some closure.

I can not recommend this book/series enough.

Thank you to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Nisha J Tuli for the eARC- I am SO grateful!!

"Tale of the Heart Queen" is the fourth and final book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series. I have adored this series ever since the first book and was chomping at the bit to see how things were going to play out after the last book! Lor is such an amazing, well developed FMC who has made so much growth through the series.

The ending of this book had my crying in the nail salon, sad that it was over. Lor and Nadir are couple goals and complete bad *sses in this book. Also, the call back to TBTMS was *chefs kiss*. Check out the first book, "Trial of the Sun Queen," to get into this series!

5⭐️

This series was absolutely everything. I couldn’t read it fast enough wanting to know what was going to happen but at the same time i wanted to read it slower because I never wanted it to end.

From the very first book I was hooked. And this one wrapped everything up so perfectly. I was ok the edge of my seat the entire time waiting to see what happened to everyone and how it was all going to play out. And it definitely didn’t disappoint.

The found family in this series was truly some of the best I’ve read. I cried my way through the last few chapters just with how everything was wrapping up. These characters all had so much development from the beginning until the very end. I’m so sad to see this series end. But Nisha has become an auto buy author for me and I can’t wait to see what she does next!

I did enjoy the tale of the heart queen by Nisha J. Tuli, although I feel the story could be expanded more. The story lacked in depth world building, but excelled in character development.

I enjoyed Rion’s story most of all, and this was some of the best writing in the book. It is a good ending to the entire series, but I do wish we would’ve heard a little more from other factions in the book. I could see a spinoff series with several other characters.

This is a must read, if you have read the other three books of this series.

Nisha captivated an ending to a story perfectly. I couldn’t stop reading the last installment as it was packed with the final arks of so many characters that I am so captivated with. I couldn’t have hope for a better end to all these characters. All of the Tale of the Heart Queen felt justified and right. I don’t know how I’ll ever get to be okay with not continuing on with those series but this will forever be one of my favorite romantasy reads. To think it all started with a bar of soap.

I fell in love with this series! The “mate” talk was a little repetitive but overall it’s a fast paced and interesting romantasy. Interesting magic, fun side characters and a good time all around. I couldn’t put it down!

I was both excited to finish and sad to say goodbye. This was an excellent finish to the series. It tied up loose ends I didn’t even realize I needed resolved. I have loved, cried with and cheered for these characters for four books. Who’d have thought I’d be so emotional over a damn bar of soap!

I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect ending to the series.. I love how all the pieces came together and all of the character growth and development really was amazing especially in this book. Lor is one of my favorite FMC’s of all time!

This has been such a thrilling series to continue with, and this finale is no exception! The cast of characters, POVs added, and romance make this a standout series in my mind and I'll be sure to recommend this to all the romantasy fans!

A wonderful, action-packed ending to this series! Lor, Nadir, and friends must work together to get the last pieces they need to take down an enemy, unknowingly helping another villain rise towards the surface. In the end, Lor must travel to the depths of the Underworld and fight for the magic of not only her kingdom, but for the whole continent. This book will put you through the ringer of emotions- crying and laughing until the very end. Oh, and the spice is perfect too ;)

I absolutely loved this book, I put off finishing it for so long because I did not want it to end! We get more backstory of Tyr, and almost sympathize with Nadir's father in the end. I am very happy with how the book ended, it had me on the edge of my seat!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

(3.5 stars) And with that, the Artefacts of Ouranos series is complete! I’m glad I happened upon the first book on NetGalley over a year ago and was lucky enough to be approved for each book since. Overall, Tale of the Heart Queen was an exciting conclusion and I would recommend this series to all romantasy readers.

I did have some minor complaints while finishing the story, though. While reading books one and two, I felt like I had found such a hidden gem series, but truthfully, I think I lost a bit of my momentum with book three and now book four. I loved the trials in the first, the spice/tension in the second, and more backstory/history in the second and third. But in this fourth and final installment, things started to feel a bit cheesy to me. I do love a general “happy ever after,” but I’m not going to lie - the ending was a bit too perfect for everyone, if that makes sense. I would never argue that Lor, Nadir, and most of the other characters haven’t been through a LOT during this series (and deserve a good vacation), but in my opinion, there’s typically more sacrifice or even character deaths that add to the intensity and realness of the story. This book just felt like a way for Nisha Tuli to complete each character arc by giving them exactly what they wanted. Some readers may love a really cookie-cutter ending where only the good guys win and the bad guys lose, but in such a brutal fantasy world, I expected more loss and heartbreak. I think Gabriel and Tyr’s relationship was my favorite by the end because of everything I just mentioned - the trauma of their pasts actually affected who they were and maybe didn’t lead to the most perfect “happily ever after.”

That’s truly the only major gripe I had with Tale of the Heart Queen. As I said at the beginning, this was a fun ride and I would still recommend the series as a whole to anyone who loves romantasy!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of Tale of the Heart Queen. I am sorry to see this series has finished! It was an emotional roller coaster of a ride. I loved the relationship between Lor and Nadir and how they evolved from the enemies to lovers. (I'm always a sucker for mind-to-mind communication). I feel that Nisha J. Tuli wrapped up all the story lines and ended the book perfectly. I hope that she does a spin-off story on Gabriel because I just loved him in the end. My favorite line in the whole series is still "That b*tch took my soap!" and for Nisha to add that little joke at the end was perfect. This series has become one of my top five series.

This was a wonderful wrap-up to the series. There was so much going on in the last book I wasn't sure how it was all going to come together, but Nisha managed to pull it together beautifully. I loved having Rion's POV. I feel like it added so much depth to the story. I also always love a good villian backstory and Nisha delivered.

What an absolute ride from start to finish! I fell head over heels for Lor's fire and spirit – she was such a badass throughout the entire book, but her journey in this one was something else. Lor's wrath was my favorite in this installment; her presence and power was incredible for a fierce FMC. And Gabriel… *sigh* I have a little baby crush on him now. He was the absolute man, stepping up when it mattered most, and honestly stole a piece of my heart.

The way this book tied everything together was just so beautifully done, but I couldn't help but wish for more pages! The ending? WOW. I’m not one to cry, but I almost did. It hit me right in the feels in a way I wasn't prepared for. This book was everything I needed and more – such a stunning conclusion!

This was a great conclusions to the series! I love Lor and Nadir so much. Seeing their entire relationships unfold throughout the series was fantastic. If you are looking for a strong badass FMC, this series is for you! Unique magic, a fun cast of characters and found family are all woven wonderfully throughout.

This was such a good finale to the series. The plot was fantastic & the pacing had my itching to keep reading. I love these characters with my whole heart. I’m truly so emotional that this was the end. Four books doesn’t seem like as many when you love a series so much. I can’t wait to reread in the future & look for all the Easter eggs I missed.

I loved the found family, watching everyone step into their roles, their growth, just everything.

Of course, I love Lor & Nadir with my whole heart. Just the way they would burn everything to the ground for one another, ugh I love love.

I cried about a million times (but I’m just a crybaby so nothing new)

Nisha J. Tuli’s Tale of the Heart Queen promises an epic conclusion to the series, whisking readers back into the tumultuous world of Ouranos. After a catastrophic mistake, Lor finds herself on the run from the formidable Aurora King, grappling with her unexpected role as the continent’s savior. As new threats emerge and the stakes escalate, Lor must navigate the murky depths of the Underworld to protect her future and the future of those she loves. The premise is thrilling, offering a tantalizing mix of danger and destiny that hooks you from the start.

However, despite my excitement, I found this final installment a bit of a mixed bag. While the first three books showcased Tuli’s talent for “show, don’t tell,” this one felt like it leaned too heavily on exposition. Lengthy character dialogues began to drag, transforming moments that should have been dynamic into eye-roll-inducing exchanges. As much as I adored Lor and Nadir's relationship, their declarations of love started to overshadow the fierce, action-driven dynamic that made their bond so compelling in previous books. Instead of seeing their love unfold through their actions, we got a lot of telling—cue the cheesy moments that felt out of place for our once badass protagonists.

Ultimately, Tale of the Heart Queen wraps up the series with a checklist feel, neatly tying up plot points without the satisfying emotional punch I craved. The climax, which I eagerly anticipated, felt rushed and left me wanting more depth. While I appreciate the challenge of crafting a finale, the balance between resolution and engagement felt slightly off. If you’ve enjoyed the series so far, it’s still worth a read for closure, but it may not deliver the explosive finish you hoped for. Overall, it’s a charming addition to the series, even if it falters in some areas—perfect for those who love a bit of romantasy with their adventure!

WHAT A RIDE!!! Many, many thanks to Dana and Estelle at Forever Pub for allowing me ARC review the entire Artefacts of Ouranos series by Nisha J, Tuli. What an incredible journey it's been. I've been championing Nisha's work since I was first introduced to the "Trial of the Sun Queen", I think what we need more than anything in 2024 onward is more BIPOC authors writing BIPOC fantasy/romances. I think Tale of the Heart Queen wrapped up the series so well. I'm sure it was a hard feat but I'm perfectly content with the series finale. It was packed with adventure, suspense, spice (🔥), and romance- that honestly, surprisingly didn't make me overly nauseous with how lovey the main couple is. Kudos again to whoever decided to green light this as a 4-book series. A trilogy would have truly left me wanting more and a 5-book series would've been overkill. I'm already missing the magic of Ouranos 🥹
