**Book Review: Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha Tuli**
**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**
Nisha Tuli has done it again with her newest installment, "Tale of the Heart Queen." This book is a masterclass in wrapping up a story with finesse, ensuring every plot thread is neatly tied, and delivering an ending that will leave readers absolutely satisfied.
From the very beginning, I was hooked. The characters are richly developed, and the world-building is as enchanting as ever. But it's the conclusion that truly shines. The author brilliantly ties up all the loose ends, giving us a finale that is both heartwarming and thrilling.
The ending? Pure perfection. The balance of love and justice, the ultimate downfall of the villain, and that glorious happily-ever-after left me with a huge smile on my face. Every box was checked, and every expectation met.
What truly excites me now is the potential for the next story. Tristan's tale in the Woodlands would be amazing. Knowing Nisha Tuli's storytelling prowess, I have no doubt it would be just as magical and compelling.
"Tale of the Heart Queen" is a must-read for anyone who loves a story where love conquers all, justice prevails, and characters live happily ever after. If you're a fan of romantic epics, this book will not disappoint!

I have been following this series since the Trials of the Sun Queen book, and while I adore Lor and Nadir, this last book was a challenge to motivate myself to complete. There wasn’t anything specific happening that I didn’t like, it just felt like parts took longer then needed, mostly due to the repetitive and somewhat rambling stream of consciousness of the characters. There were elements of having the different points of view that were helpful and built connections to the characters, but there was also a lot of unnecessary chatter that we as the reader had to read through to get to the parts that really mattered. There were also some points that were shown, and then explained which felt redundant and added to the challenge of staying motivated to continue reading. But - my tie to Lor and Nadir was strong so I had to see how it was all resolved. With this book the way it is now though, I am not sure if I would do a re-read in the future. Which breaks my heart because I felt the premise, characters, and such were so strong.
Loved this trilogy and really enjoyed this final installment! It took some familiar fantasy tropes but also made it more unique and interesting. Loved the romance without it being too overpowering to the story but just added a lot to it. Great characters and high stakes - will be adding to our library and I will recommend this to anyone!
I have really enjoyed this series as a whole. Book 1 was definitely my favorite but I loved how the author chose to end the series. This series is truly about healing and finding strong enough support to begin to advocate for yourself. I even ended up feeling sympathy towards Rion by the end which I never thought was possible. The addition of his POV really added something special to this book. I want to keep this review spoiler free but also add don’t read chapter 74 unless you’re in a place where you can cry lol. Thank you to the author for an advanced copy and allowing me the opportunity to read this before release. I look forward to what the future has in store for the author!!!
Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha J. Tuli
5 STARS
I have so many feelings right now - but first this book is SO good! I loved continuing Lor’s story but also I am so sad that it’s over.
Like what do I do with my life now?
We get the same action and adventure as we do in a typical book by Nisha and especially from this series. However, there is so much more at stake. I love all the POVs that we got in this one, I was curious where the story was going to go and all I can say I was here it and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest.
This one was a long one but as you are reading it, it doesn’t feel long, I wish there were more pages only for the fact that I didn’t want it to end. I first pick up this series in 2022 and having to wait for books 2 and 3, I never really thought about this series ending.
But here we are…
I’m still so sad but also I love this story so much and I HIGHLY recommend anyone who loves fantasy and romantasy to pick up this series!!
releasing Nov. 26th - thank you so much to Forever (the publisher) for sending me an arc of this one!
I wasn’t ready for this series to be over, but the final book delivered! Our characters got into just the right amount of trouble and got their well deserved ending. Was the ending a smidge predictable? Part of it, yes, but I’m not complaining because it made everyone in the book happy. The writing was great as always and you fall in love with these characters even more.
Dare I say there was even some redemption involved?! Didn’t see that coming!
Definitely recommend this whole series to everyone!
Tale of the Heart Queen was such a fantastic ending to the Artefacts of Ouranos series! The ending was wonderful and I’m so glad everyone got a happy ending. I’m not going to lie I was stressing out about Lor for a while there cause I didn’t know how it was going to end for her. I thoroughly enjoyed this final book. I will admit sometimes I would get a bit annoyed when it would flip back to a past chapter with Rion cause I wanted to read more about the present, but I understand that it was all very necessary, especially for his ending. I will be thinking about Lor and Nadir for a long time. Easily one of my new favourite romantasy series! Thank you to Netgalley, ReadForeverPub, Dana and Nisha for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. I’m still reeling that I got to read this so soon cause I love this series so much!
First, thank you so much for providing this ARC I’ve been dying to finish this series. Second, now I finished the series and I’m not sure what to do. This wrapped up so well, I feel like any questions I had were answered. It did take me a little longer to get hooked on this one though, unlike the first three where I felt hooked right away. Either way, I’ve loved this series and will always recommend it.
I loved this. It was the perfect ending to, what is now, one of my favorite series.
Nisha has a hell of a way with words. These characters were so well written. They had the same flaws and imperfections we humans have, while having the added bonus of magic. They bicker and argue, they love hard, and they grow together.
What started with "that b**** stole my soap" created a world I am having a hard time moving on from. This book will break your heart, even more than book 3 in some ways, and lovingly sew it back together again. The whole gang makes an appearance, and everyone gets the ending they deserve.
Thank you, Nisha, for creating a world and characters that I can't wait to revisit.
I gobbled up this book. I’ve been so impatiently waiting to read this and now that i have, i wish there was more. The perfect ending to the series. I’m so glad it was happily ever after because i wouldn’t know what to do with myself if it wasn’t. Thank you Nisha and team for this lovely series. Thank you for bringing Nadir and Lor into my life when i needed them. This series will forever be in my heart.
First of all, thank you to Nisha J. Tuli, her team, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy of the final book in this series.
Am I crying because it’s over? Of course I am. Was the ending perfect? Of course it was. Will I now be rereading it from the beginning to feel something? You bet your sweet ass I will!
I took my time with this one because knowing it’s the last book made me want to prolong the end. I love Lor, and every other character (besides, Riom, Atlas, and Cloris- fuck you three) in this book. The writing, the humor, the sex scenes, the relationships between the characters? Nisha is going to knock it out of the park every single time. And then the way she had the plot from the first book come back to tie into this final one? Chef’s kiss. 🤌🏼✨
There’s series that stay with you forever and you’ll never fully get over, the Artefacts of Ouranos series is one of those!
Lor and Nadir are couple goals. The character development of both, individually and together, throughout the series are organic and wonderful.
Book 4 picks up at that dreadful cliffhanger in Fate of the Sun King. It did give us some twists throughout, so beware because it could cause you to stay up late to get through.
When I tell you I cried through the whole ending. Could not be stopped. Smile on my face. Tears of happiness for these characters after the journey they’ve been on. I finished the series with such an overwhelming sense of satisfaction.
Nisha J Tuli has made me fall in love with this world and this book was the perfect wrap up to the series. For everyone. I truly felt like I closed the book knowing exactly what I needed to about not just Lor and Nadir and Gabriel, but all of the side characters I’ve fallen in love with and become invested in along the way.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for this advanced copy!
Nisha J. Tuli rounds out a wonderful series with a rollercoaster ending!
The much anticipated ending to the Artefacts of Ouranos series absolutely delivered. Thank you to Read Forever Publishing for inviting me to read this book and provided me with an ARC.
To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect in those book. Especially after the wild ending of Rule of the Aurora King! When that book ended like it did, I just had no idea what could happen in the next book but Nisha took us in just the right direction.
As Lor fights to save her Queendom, her family, her mate and the rest of Ouranos we are stuck reading and cheering her on while things don’t go her way and then sometimes do. She faced so many challenges as the Empyrium tries to decide her future for her.
I love that in the end there were redemptions, characters ends, and some finding their true paths and places in Ouranos. The spicy scenes were spicy, and the characters were just all the more complex and challenged in this book.
We faced not one, but TWO (maybe even 3?) big bads in the book and it left my heart racing until the end. I really enjoyed this book and while I’m sad to see the series end, I loved how Nisha ended it. Because who isn’t a sucker for really really good endings?
♥️ The end of an era 👑
I’ve been in a massive reading slump lately. When I saw the email hit my inbox with this arc, I felt excitement to read that I haven’t in a long while. Final books in a series make me nervous, but this one was done SO well. I was hooked from the minute I picked it up and thought about it every minute I wasn’t reading it!
I had no idea where the story was going to take me. What an absolutely wild ride for all of our characters. There were more tests of character, a very surprising redemption arc, and so many happy tears throughout! I’m blown away by this story and loved how Nisha tied up all the loose ends in such a graceful way!
Seriously if you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for??
Thank you Nisha, Forever, and NetGalley for the ARC in change for an honest review!
The fourth and final book in Artefacts of Ouranos. This book can not be read as a standalone, so make sure you read the first three books. Overall I enjoyed this. Nisha really has created a world that thoroughly enjoyed. Tale of the Heart Queen starts off with Lor having to retrieve an important artifact to save Nadir’s life. There were a lot of side stories to wrap up in this book, so at times I did get a little lost. However I’m happy with how everything ended. I look forward to Nisha next series.
What a beautiful and heart wrenching book to finish out this series.
I just finished reading and all I want to do is give Nisha a slow clap for the entire Artefacts series. It is spectacular, engaging, and in a league of its own.
Following Lor (and Nadir and co.) through these books was a blessed experience. I think I’ve said it every time, but I’ve loved Lor’s character growth. There are some tie-ins in the latter half of this book as a nod to the first one in the series, and I absolutely adored it.
*potential (barely) spoiler about the ending*
There were so many times where I was cheesing, and others when I was biting my nails. In the dedication Nisha promised a happy ending, and I highlighted it so I could go back and read it to comfort myself for when it got tense (I did, in fact, have to reread it a few times for the assurance).
I am endlessly thankful to Nisha, Dana, and Forever for the opportunity to read this series; I feel so very lucky 🥰
Lor will genuinely live in my heart forever ♥️♥️♥️
What a phenomal book! This was everything I wanted and this series has easily became one of my favorites!
This series had me from its first sentence, and now it's over. (I'm fine.) (I am NOT fine.)
I was thrilled beyond measure to get to read an ARC of Tale of the Heart Queen, the finale in Nisha J. Tuli's stunning Artefacts of Ouranos series. It's steamy romantasy done so well. Thank you to @readforeverpub; this is my honest review.
I knew before starting the book that it was going to be a ride, considering where Fate of the Sun King left off. The first chapter let me know I was right. So much raw emotion -- everything Lor was feeling was *palpable*.
The last hundred pages: wow. Nonstop. The highest stakes possible. All the action, all the emotion ... and yes, there is a perfect amount of spice. This book even features my own personal favorite microtrope: I-S-G-Y-N-D-S.
No pun intended: this book has heart. It gave me everything I wanted as an ending to the series (even though I don't want the series to end; I could happily keep reading about Lor, Nadir and crew forever). If you haven't started the series, you have until November 26 to catch up. Bump it to the top of your TBR and thank me later.
Tale of the Heart Queen has MY heart.
Thank you to Forever Pub for the eARC!
Tale of the Heart Queen picks up right where Fate of the Sun King ended, with Lor dealing with the aftermath of the absolute devastation of her encounter with Rion. Lor sets out to make things right and change the course of her fate but not without unending life threatening challenges and twists to get to her happy ending.
First I will say I love this series and it is one of my favorites. It is because of that I had high hopes for its conclusion. Overall, I am so happy for the characters and how the ending tied together and loved that everyone truly got their happy endings (except Atlas, f him).
Unfortunately, this ending fell flat for me. My main challenge with Tale of the Heart Queen was that the writing felt much different than the first 3 books.
- The first 3 books were fantastic “show don’t tell”, and in this book it felt like the complete opposite at least 80% of the time.
Lor and Nadir’s romance became more about their inner monologue repeatedly confessing their undying love for one another (which is great and so happy to finally get that!!!), but in the last 2 books I felt there was such a better job of proving that love through l their actions vs this book it felt like the only point proving it was saying it.
For me, their romance and dialogue became cheesy and corny and it just diminished their “badass-ness” from the previous books. I get that they had growth and are more vulnerable now, but my experience was that they became corny to the point that they were almost entirely different characters.
- Some plot points/twists truly didn’t make sense to me, or felt like they were missing context. I just felt confused during some parts of the book which made it less enjoyable.
I was also realllllly disappointed that so little time was spent on Lor’s magic and figuring it out when SOO much of book 3 focused on it. It was barely explored, and I still don’t have a grasp on how it works, only that it does. And I guess by the last 10ish(?) chapters she she has control over it, but not really because she did anything to master it…it just happens because she’s bonded, i think?
- finally, so many pieces were wrapped up quickly or unnecessarily. When it was wrapped up quickly I found myself internally screaming “noooo!!” begging for more. The other parts that were wrapped up unnecessarily were random minor subplots and side characters that were sporadically mentioned purely to tie a bow on something that didn’t need it.
While Tale of the Heart Queen wasn’t everything I had hoped, the series overall is fantastic and have characters, magic, and a world I’ll forever love!
