This is the last book in the series and what a fantastic conclusion to the story! I had the pleasure to be able to receive an ARC (even though it's after the release date), and once I received it, It jumped my ARC TBR. I really had high expectations as this is one of my top fantasy series as it has so many unique ideas that take place. I was not disappointed with the conclusion to this whole series. I’m just disappointed it had to end.

The characters, Lor, Nadir, Gabriel as well as everyone else are so interectly put together I loved finding new things about them. I laughed, gasped, and cried while reading this book, oh and the spicy scenes were very well done. The relationships that all the characters have with each other are just amazing.

Overall the ending to this book was just so good. I really loved that there was a good overall conclusion to each and every character.

This book wraps up the Artefacts of the Ouranos series. The storyline takes a turn in this one as readers now have the evil identified. It's no longer Lor "simply" trying to get back her magic, her crown and her lands. We now see that there are underlying issues at hand which have ultimately been driving the story all along. Nadir, Tristan, Willow and the rest of the gang are all put to the test as the Aurora King conspires to fulfill his own agenda. There are new friendships, new loves, new enemies, new heartaches as the Heart Queen pushes through to the end. While the book has a different feel than the others in the series, it was an entertaining and enjoyable wrap up.

This book had me in all of my feelings! This is book 4 in the Artefacts of Ouranos romantasy series, and it was a highly anticipated read for me. There are high stakes, a stabby FMC, trials, magic, hidden identity, and so many of my favorite tropes. It was incredible to experience the relationship growth between Lor and Nadir, and I found myself rooting for them throughout. I was fully invested throughout their adventure, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will be recommending this series to other romantasy readers!

NIsha has done it again. It was the perfect finale of the series. Such tension and power from the first page, something she's amazing at. I love this series so much and can't stop recommending to everyone.

This series ended in the best way. Nisha J Tuli is forever a favorite of mine and I can't get enough of her books.

An absolute epic ending to this fabulous series! I couldn’t put down each and every book in this. I so sad it’s over!!

This was an amazing ending to this series! The books were addicting and left me wanting more. The romance between Lor and Nadir continued to grow throughout the series and had reached the best point in this book. So many twists and turns, emotional times, and backstories that answered so many questions. I would absolutely read more by this author, or a spin off series too!

Nisha Tuli really gave us the most epic and satisfying ending to this series, and I enjoyed it so, so much!

We’re left in the most precarious of places at the end of book 3, and our characters have all manner of messes to clean up. We get introduced to whole new layers to the gods and the world at large, meet new unlikely allies and more likely enemies, gallant all over Ouranos. Fall in love all over again, reconnect with old friendly faces, and overcome impossible odds. Nadir and Lor are a top-tier fantasy couple in my book, they’re both flawed yet lovable, complex and easy to empathize with, and their devotion to one another only grows more palpable with every page. There were a lot of moments where I found myself deathly afraid for the characters in this book in particular, but Tuli found a way to wrap it all up in the most satisfying and well-earned way.

I will say that, unfortunately, the beginning of this book dragged a lot more than I wanted it to. There were some conflicts that felt kind of thrown together and ultimately didn’t have ugh bearing on the plot. However. The last 60ish percent of this book really roped me back in very effectively and still had me feeling all the feels come the end. I think this is a well-loved series for a damn good reason, and I think folks will be really, really happy with the ending these characters and this world got. Thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for this eArc!

Mediocre ending to a fun series. I would rate this book 3.5 stars. That said, it was easy to keep reading, despite some of the thoughts I had.

Spoilers below:

It was also really interesting to have Lor do ALL the saving and heavy lifting. Nadir just took a back seat in this one. I have a hard time believing he would let Lor jump headfirst (literally) into danger without any discussion.

Lor had ZERO self-preservation. Which made sense at the beginning of the series. But as the stakes got higher you would think she would want to be more cautious. You know, being the only one to save the realm and all that.

I also had a hard time buying into this villain and his motives. Why would he host trials under the mountain after all his work to be set free? I get he needed some entertainment, but wouldn't freedom offer way more than one weird challenge for two people?

Not related to my rating... Zerra should have been replaced by Willow. That would have made a bigger impact on the story. She would finally have a bigger purpose and make a sacrifice for Lor after all those years of Lor taking care of Willow. But that is just my preference.

I loved the first three books in this series. While this one didn't ruin it for me, it did taint the feeling I had for the series overall. I feel like this could have been structured differently into a trilogy to get us all the important information sooner. I feel we needed answers from this book, but then there was a lot of filler to make it worth publishing a fourth book.

I received an ARC of this title from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and were not affected by the free copy.

Lor is on the run, AGAIN, and this time, the stakes are higher than ever. She now has enemies on land, the Evanescence, and the Underworld, and she's more alone than ever.

Honestly, this was not quite the conclusion I wanted. It was fine, but I knew exactly how it was going to end by end of book 3. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, it just felt very lackluster. The ending also felt very rushed, after dragging through the first half of the book.

To me, this was a 3.5 star read, but since I loved the start of the series, I rounded up to 4 stars, instead of down to 3. I am very interested in trying some of the author's other books now, all of her covers are absolutely gorgeous.

While I really liked the first 3 books, this one was too long, the main characters were apart for the first 200ish pages which was annoying and the end was anticlimactic.

This whole series was so amazing. I absolutely LOVED every book. This book was perfect. I love the authors writing style. This story was so fun and interesting. I couldn’t put it down. This is one of those stories that you can’t stop thinking about after you finish it. I enjoyed it so much I’ll be doing a re read of all of these books soon.

4.25 stars
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were parts I absolutely loved while other parts had me aching inside for the characters. There were parts that read a bit slow for me, while others had me on the edge of my seat! Nadir and Lor have solidified themselves as a favorite book couple for me. Their love is so fierce and unwavering, and the selflessness in which they give themselves to each other is nothing short of beautiful.

The ending was so perfect and beautifully done, and many, many tears may have been shed over here. I had a feeling that a certain plot point might happen and was so happy to see I was right. It’s really hard to give any sort of review without spoilers when it’s the fourth and final book in a series, but suffice it to say, this one wrapped up the series in a really satisfying way for me. I love this world and would absolutely die for some spinoffs- maybe starring Gabriel or Tristan! I’d read those in a heartbeat.

Sad to say goodbye to a favorite series but looking forward to all the rereads in my future ☺️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is everything I wanted for my little indie series that isn't "indie" anymore. I'm so happy to be a part of his journey with Lor and I'm so glad it's out into the world!

A deeply satisfying conclusion to an extremely fun romantasy series. I can't say too much about the book without getting into spoilers but it's really fun to watch Lor grow into herself and step into her power over the course of these books (albeit reluctantly at times). These books are sexy, the world is extremely cool, and I love the multi-POV format.

As usual, Nisha's writing is creative, romantic, and exciting. In this last installment in the Artefacts of Ouranos series, we follow Lor, Nadir, and their friends into the literal bowls of hell as they fight for life, love, and a lost queendom. It's a story that showcases the ability of one choice charting the course of a lifetime, and not for the better. It's a story that spotlights how unfair fate can seem, and how you respond to that can make or break you - and those around you.
This story may take place in a fantasy world, but it reflects life, even in this world.

So, I struggled to finish this book. It was great - don't get me wrong - but I love this series and knowing this was the last... I don't think I've ever had this kind of issue before! I just didn't want it to end... It was completely a psychological issue on my part. It just goes to show how much a series can become part of your life!

So I switched gears. I ended up purchasing the audiobook and listening to the last half of the story, which was amazing!

Tale of the Heart Queen is the fourth and final book in the Ouranous series. This was a solid end to the first books and adequately tied up all the remaining loose ends. The first three books were solid 5 star reads for me, but this one dragged a bit. Part of it is personal preference because I didn't care for the added POV where we got to hear from Gabriel. It was better than the past POVs in the third book because we got to see from Gabriel's perspective, but it added extra information that I don't feel enriched the story. This story is amazing, but I wish it had been a trilogy rather than a set of four.

Tale of the Heart Queen was a good final instalment to the series. There were a lot of revelations and some unanswered questions, that tied it up perfectly. There were times I was shouting at the book, and being really elated about certain events. I liked how everything panned out in the end, though I found the revelation about the evil villain slightly predictable. The pacing was extremely slow for my personal taste, which I didn't find for the other books. And everything happened far too easily for the characters.

Overall, the book had a lot of enjoyable moments and I really recommend it for those to finish the series.
