3.5⭐️ Unfortunately, this was a pretty anticlimactic ending for me. The pacing felt so slow, and honestly, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if it had been a trilogy. There were still so many things that needed to be explained in this last book, and it just felt like it dragged. Plus, a lot of the world-building in this book felt like it should’ve been spread throughout the series—it ended up feeling super info-dumpy here. The spice also felt a little forced, like it was only added because there hadn’t been any yet, and it didn’t flow naturally with the story. After all the build-up, the ending kind of fell flat. That said, books 2 and 3 were definitely my favorites in the series!

Yes. 1,000 times yes. You simply HAVE to read this entire series. Every book is amazing and this is one of the best conclusions of a series in, forever? I dare say. Nisha J Tuli is a phenomenal writer who just has a way of writing epic tales full of amazing characters, mesmerizing worlds and magic systems that are completely captivating. This entire series does an incredible job of building upon each previous book and as a whole it is a 5 star series. In fact, every book was 5 stars. Please, do yourself a favor, and pick up this series.
Nisha also loves food and has a way of describing dishes that will make anyone hungry! I love this detail in all of her books.

Finally getting my hands on the fourth and final book of this series makes my soul happy. The cover art is gorgeous and dark which is a great reflection of the story unfolding inside but do not pick this book up unless you have already immersed yourself in the world and are ready for everything to be wrapped up nicely.
Since this is the fourth in a series and the finale, I will do my best to stay away from spoilers. There's lot of emotion, especially if you've invested time into reading the others. There are twists and turns which play out in a satisfying way and characters who are well flushed out. As noted by a few others, this book does have a different atmosphere than the first three. I am not sure if it's because the author knew she was wrapping everything up or what. The resolutions for the series really do come at the very end of this book, so there's a bit of a slow roll to get things resolved.
If you enjoy romantasy (romance/ fantasy) this may be a series for you to sink your teeth into while you wait for other books in other series to hit the shelves.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'm in a bit of a reading slump right now, but I think in another point of my life, I may have rated this book higher. I love Nisha's books and have read all of them, and Trial of the Sun Queen (the first installment of this series) was one of my favorites of the year I read it!
I had a bit of trouble staying in tune with all of the different plot points going on, and connecting it to the other books. But this may be because I read them as they came out and no in sequence. I will always be a Lor and Nadir stan and I loved how their relationship came to full fruition in this installment. The ending of this book took after SJM and was absolutely action packed!!
I will continue to read all of Nisha's books, but i'm sad this series is over!

First, I want to say that I loved the first book, I read the second, and then when I got the arc for the fourth one I had to buy and read the third to keep up with the story. As the series goes on, it gets more raunchy, more spicy, and more wild. So much so that it makes me uncomfortable. The third book had a lot of adult content that I did not appreciate. I’m fine with reading some spice, but brothels, and see-through clothing, and all the rest is just too much. Within the first few chapters of book 4 there’s a threesome. It has just become too much so I will not be finishing this book.
But this is my review.
If I could rate this zero stars, I would. I’m sad to say that the series has become more about how spicy it can get than the actual storyline.
Thank you, NetGalley and Forever Publisher for my copy of this ARC to give my honest review.

I can’t believe this series has come to an end! Nisha J. Tuli has taken us on such a captivating journey through this world, and Tale of the Heart Queen delivers a satisfying conclusion that ties up all the loose ends we’ve been waiting for.
Lor’s adventures in this final installment are packed with high stakes, heart-pounding moments, and surprises around every corner. From racing against villains both familiar and new to venturing into the shadowy depths of the Underworld, Lor’s determination to save her people and fight for her freedom truly shines. Fans of the series will love seeing favorite characters return to help her in this epic showdown.
While the ending lives up to the promises made throughout the series and provides a fitting conclusion, I did feel this book had a different tone compared to the earlier ones. With so many storylines to wrap up, the pacing occasionally felt slower, and the book’s length was noticeably longer than its predecessors. That said, it’s still a worthy finale, and fans won’t be disappointed.
If you’ve been following Lor’s story, don’t miss this bittersweet yet fulfilling conclusion to a series that has captured so many hearts on BookTok!

From “That bitch took my soap” to the final line of Tale of the Heart Queen, I have loved Lor. The journey she has taken us on has been heart breaking, soul destroying and FINALLY incredibly satisfying.
The last book in this series continues with Lor, Nadir and all of the amazing family and found family fighting to rid the realm of the despicable Sun King and the even more despicable Aurora King and restore the Heart kingdom. The lengths they have to go to and the conflicts they face are so harrowing, my anxiety was spiking. I can’t believe what Nisha put these characters through.
My favorite thing about this story is the relationship between Lor and Nadir. Their love is so pure and magical and the devotion between them brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Nadir is top tier book boyfriend material and I couldn’t love him more.
Nisha Tuli’s gift is writing characters who are so multi faceted with such depth and emotional intelligence, we can’t help but love them and root for them.
I’m so sad this series is done. I’ll miss these characters but the conclusion was so satisfying that I’m smiling and thankful that I had the opportunity to go on the journey with them.
If you love a romantic slow burn fantasy with an amazing cast of characters facing seemingly insurmountable odds, you’ll love this series.

Wow, what a finisher for the series! Tale of the Heart Queen did not disappoint and Nisha did a fantastic job drawing the story to a close. As much as I hate having a series end, it takes a special writer to make the ending an enjoyable read. The culmination of the story and characters left me sad it was over but smiling at how everything came together for each character that I had come to love.
This last installment of the Artifacts of Ouranos series releases November 26! Get your preorder in now…you won’t be disappointed as Lor and Nadir wrap up their story surrounded by their family and friends.
Thank you to Nisha and Forever Publishing for letting me read this ARC!
I was drawn to this book because of the cover…I think it is beautifully done and it compliments the title beautifully. Well done to the publisher and author for their choice.
The story follows the heroine, grief stricken after losing her anchors for her magic, and her strive for redemption and purpose. Honestly, there was a lot of information dropped in the reader’s lap very quickly…and it took time to figure out what was going on. After that, the pace of the book and storyline was a bit all over the place. I didn’t connect with the characters like I would like. I am sure others will enjoy this dark fantasy book but it was not for me.
Thank you.

I wish there had been more of a recap. Having been so long since I read the 3rd book, I had forgotten exactly what led up to the moment of the opening chapter.
Books 1-3 were great! This book was good, but it was a book of tying up ends, not necessarily explaining anything further or MC growth. The character growth that did happen was for side characters and bad guys… which was an interesting choice.
The big bad had quite the setup for very little payout. There was so much opportunity to expand on his role, magic and setting. We got the barest of that, which was disappointing.
I felt like every chapter was a closing chapter… which made the reading experience unfortunately, very repetitive. All the things that were listed as problems by the characters just… fix themselves quickly and neatly. This could have been edited a little more to cut some of the repetitive moments and internal dialogue in favor of SHOWING us more of the key aspects from the previous books resolved.
I liked how it ended… but thought the final steps of the lead up were skimmed over.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an Advanced eReader Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is the final installment of an incredible series. I'm a huge fan of Nisha and I think she has an incredible talent for building worlds and characters. So if you've gotten this far you likely believe something similar and will be reading this book.
Personally, I think this ending was too neat. Everything was tidy and complete with very little mess. It made the book a bit slow for me, especially with the girth of this monster text. Do I have a better way to wrap it up? nope. It was probably what the series needed but it was less satisfying for me than I expected. It's still a casually biased 4 star read and I'm happy I completed this series and am sad to be leaving this fantasy realm.
Thank you so much to Nisha J Tuli, Forever Pub and Netgalley for this ARC. I attest that I am leaving my review voluntarily and honestly.

I was really excited to read this final book in the series, especially after that painful cliffhanger at the end of book 3! But unfortunately, for me, this book did not live up to my expectations.
What I did enjoy about this book was the deeper dive into some of the character back stories. Learning more about Gabriel and his relationship with the Sun King was interesting. I enjoyed getting more backstory about Nadir’s mother and her relationship with Rion. I’ve said from the beginning but I’ve always appreciated Tuli’s attention to representation of race and sexuality in this series. She’s done it in a thoughtful and inclusive way. This book as well as the series as a whole has also always felt playful and fun, never taking itself too seriously. Something the genre could use more of.
That being said, what I didn’t enjoy about this book was mainly the last 25%. The story felt rushed and disjointed, especially with the addition of new characters and side quests. Too many villains were introduced in this story and it was hard for me to wrap my head around what the main end goal was. Zerra’s backstory was not developed enough for me and that made her character fall flat. Rion, despite development on his backstory with Nadir, also felt disjointed and his actions in the end didn’t feel cohesive with the rest of the series. The smut scenes in this book also felt disjointed and even a little too much at times. I’m a girl who loves her smutty faerie books but i unfortunately found myself rolling my eyes at a few scenes.
Bottom line: a disappointing ending to what has been as a whole, a very enjoyable series. I still think this is a worthwhile series to read and I still had a great time reading it. 2.5/5
My deepest gratitude and thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

❤️ Tale of the Heart Queen ❤️
What a FUN conclusion to the Artefacts of Ouranos series! The EPIC cliffhanger at the end of Fate of the Sun King is resolved, only for even more chaos to throw a wrench in Lor’s plans to reestablish her queendom.
Like the first three books, this one has plenty of adventure, banter, and spice. I highly recommend, but make sure you read the series in order!

The final installment of the Artefacts of Ouranos and can I just say WOW WOW WOW!
This was the perfect conclusion to the series. I loved that you start with a trial and end with another; it was a full circle moment. When I read the first line of 1st book in the series “that bitch stole my soap” I just knew I was gonna be in for a ride and this series did not disappoint.
Although I found the book to be quite long compared to the others, I love how we got a more inside look into our beloved side characters (I’m looking at you Gabriel, you have my heart). The journey of Lor and Nadir, along with their friends saving her queendom was well worth it!
Overall, I think this was the perfect conclusion to the Artefacts of Ouranos series that I could have hoped for. Nisha did a good job of tidying up any loose ends and I’m so happy that everyone was able to get a happy ending.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, ForeverPub and Nisha J. Tuli for providing me with an ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Overall- A good finale to the series. Not my favorite series but still a decent read.
Plot- Nice ending but the plot was a bit chaotic.
Humor- The author definitely tried to make the characters witty, but it seemed oddly forced.
Spice- A couple of spicy scenes but nothing graphic.
Characters- These characters seemed to be knock off versions of ACOTAR characters. They were good but I didn't have the same connection as I did with the ACOTAR characters.

This last book is an absolute roller coaster. So many twists and turns that I did not see coming that kept me on the edge of my seat for legit the entire book. These babies go through SO MUCH SHIT. At this point I need Ms. Tuli to write an entire book of them just living boring mundane lives
But in all seriousness, I loved this series and the conclusion of it made me happy. I would absolutely recommend this read

Story: 5⭐

What a fantastic and exhilarating final performance from Lor and the gang. It was amazing to see the main character who was just a prisoner, draw us in with the one liner "that bitch took my soap" to become this strong and unforgettable character to cherish for forever.
As this being the final book Nisha did an amazing
job tying up everything nicely and even opened some opportunities for future spin offs.
This was such a fun ride and I'm glad I was able to be apart of it. Must read series for sure

Thanks to Forever for the gifted copy of this book!
Such an amazing end to the Artefacts of Ouranos series! Nisha absolutely nails the romance part of the Romantasy, and makes such an easy and engaging world for beginner fantasy readers. The series came full circle here, with references and redemption and such a good conclusion.

Whew ok I was not ready for this story to be over. I grew so attached to these characters but I can confidently say that every single person got the ending they deserved.

Tale of the Heart Queen (Artefacts of Ouranos #4) by Nisha J. Tuli
After Lor makes the biggest mistake of her life, she finds herself on the run from the Aurora King and decides it's time to end this, once and for all. But when a new enemy emerges to claim her freedom, the entire fate of Ouranos comes to rest on her shoulders.

I was in tears so often towards the end. Just all the feels. The author really knows how to build your attachment to these characters and their fate. Not just our darling's Lor and Nadir. I was so invested in what happened to Willow, Gabriel, Tyr, Amya, Tristan, and all the rest. I definitely did not want this story to end but the ending that was given was just *chef's kiss*. The trials and struggles everyone had to face and how everyone pulled together. We got to see the relationship between Lor and Nadir really bl0om, be tested and just give you something to cheer for. I loved the whole love story for these two. I loved that not only was this book about love, it had so many good aspects of found family, helping others, finding yourself, overcoming your past and so much more. Just an overall wonderful read I am sure I will come back to again.
Favorite quote: "Everyone has always underestimated me." (this part left out due to spoilers) "that mistake is about to cost you everything because I. Am. the fucking Heart Queen."

DNF’d at pg 114 💔
I REALLY wanted to like this book. I really did.
I absolutely devoured the first three books and loved the entire premise. Lor was a spunky but sensitive heroine and Nadir was a perfect complement. The side characters were perhaps not the most developed but were charming.
This book I think had a fundamental length issue. I have no issue with long books but I think there could have been way more editing down. In the first 114 pages there was no movement on the plot whatsoever, which was incredibly disappointing.
The writing style was also very much “tell not show” which I also did not love or find particularly gravitating. It was just overall a big bummer considering how much I loved the first couple books. I might give it a try again but for now, its a DNF for me.
Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Books for the e-ARC!
