I have been a fan of George Jones since I was a little girl., So, I was very excited to see that Nancy Jones had written a book about him. Although I knew a little about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, I really didn't know much more about him. I listened to the audiobook that is narrated by Nancy and although she does a good job describing episodes that occurred in their lives, Nancy seems to leave out until the last part of the book that , not only did George have problems with addiction, she was also addicted to pain pills for much of her life. This seemed like a very important issue that she chose to briefly mention. She presents herself in a way that is sugar coated and does not seem believable throughout most of the book, making me wish that the book had been written by someone that could have presented a more objective perspective of George Jones. Nancy seems to be trying to convince the reader that she was indeed George's savior, when in reality, it was, of course, George himself that ultimately decided to get sober. I was also left with questions at the end regarding her relationship with Kirk West, her business manager who basically gave up his life to care for her when she became ill. She never clarified the relationship that she had with him which left me, as a reader, with a lot of questions. Other than all that, any fan of George Jones will likely enjoy this book as it does give a glimpse into his life and struggles. I would like to thank Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to preview this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and to NetGalley for an ARC of this audiobook.

I knew a bit about George Jones prior to this book, but not much beyond his music. In this book part George Jones biography and part Nancy Jones autobiography, Nancy tells the story of living with George Jones for 33 years.

I really enjoyed listening to Nancy's audiobook. She tells the story of her life with George: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

This is a good book for Country Music fans or fans of George Jones.
