This is the eighth book in the Goddess with a Blade series and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Lauren Dane is a delightful author who writes in a style that makes it impossible for me to put the book down.

In this installment, we continue to see a dual POV with Rowan and Genevieve and their loved ones. I so enjoy when the Dust Devils show up to protect Genevieve, and I wish they were a little more forward facing in this book, but we get to see so much of Rowan and Clive that it really makes up for it. And it is just so fun to read about idiots being taken care of by Rowan and her awesome brand of humor. Did I mention that I just couldn't put it down? This one will go right on my re-read shelf.

Thanks NetGalley and Harlequin/Carina for the opportunity to review this book.

Blood & Magic is the eighth addition to the Goddess of the Blades series. It has a great balance between love, humour and suspense that keeps the reader from putting the book down until it’s finished. I thoroughly enjoy the ever-growing love and commitment between Rowan and Clive. Its only surpassed by their unending need and desire to protect the ones they love. See Genevieve and Darius’ relationship and connection grow and deepen was also a joy. Together both couples and their close friends work together to confront a new growing threat against both the Vampire Nation and the Conclave of witches. But can they overcome the powerful and dangerous members of the Senate? Read it and find out!

I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing suspenseful paranormal series. It is one series that I keep coming back to year after year. I just wish I didn’t have the long wait in between books.

I received an ebook copy this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

I started reading this series at book 1 but then by book 3 I had forgotten about it, so I was excited to get this one to read and it was worth it the book has plenty of laughs and a great story,   The only warning I would give is you really must have read the previous books in the series since they don't really have a complete ending they continue the stories from each book to the next.

DNF - I haven’t read any of the earlier books so most of what was happening didn’t have a context. I don’t see where this story is going, it just seems like never ending conflict. Also I know the main character, Rowen, is supposed to have a goddess & powers in her but it doesn’t play into the story except for brief mentions. I wouldn’t recommend. #BloodandMagic #NetGalley

An urban fantasy that is book 8 in the goddess with a blade series. It has excellent worldbuilding and great characters. I love Rowan and Clive. They will do anything for each other and have each other‘s backs always. Rowans familiar, Star, is the best! This has action, vamps, and magic. It is told in multiple points of view which helps you relate to the characters. I recommend reading the other books in the series for background and checking trigger warnings. Overall, a fast paced read that I highly recommend. Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Romance for the chance to read and leave my honest review.

Loved this book, it draws your through the series perfectly with growth and arc for both characters and plots. As always Lauren weaves magic into her writing and stories. A book and a series that readers MUST READ.

Urban Fantasy Steamy Romance featuring a vampire Hunter and goddess's Vessel, her Vampire scion husband and a powerful Witch as they gather their allies to confront those threatening Witches and Vampires.

5/5 stars: This is the eighth entry in Dane's Goddess with a Blade series, which is a Urban Fantasy Steamy Romance that features a vampire Hunter and the human Vessel to the Goddess Brigid, her husband, who's the Vampire Scion of North America, and a powerful Witch, who's a Conclave Senator and Priestess for a Trick of Dust Devils (AKA a group of chaos demigods) and romantically partnered with their leader, as they gather their allies to confront and put an end to a threat facing the Conclave of witches and the Vampire Nation. The world Dane's crafted is fantastically well-written; you'll find vampires, witches and magic who are living in secret in the modern world. Dane has written a heck of a compelling plot that weaves political wrangling, nonstop action and an old fashioned investigation that has plenty of twists and turns. Told in multiple POVs (Rowen, Clive, Genevieve and Darius) and with biting humor, Dane's writing and character work are stellar. The cast of characters is one of the best I've ever read; they're infinitely complex yet incredibly likable. Rowan's a kick-butt heroine who's growth has been a joy to read and I love her relationship with Clive. Genevieve's a great character, incredibly powerful and it's great to see her relationship with Darius. Also I love Rowan's magical dog/familiar, Star. Oh and Dane brings the heat with incredibly sexy deliciously scorching OPS scenes. Dane takes on some sensitive subjects; so take care and check the CWs. I wouldn't suggest reading this as a stand-alone, at minimum you'll want to read book seven, Bad Blood, which is the first part of this two book plot arc but you'll gain so much more by reading the series from the beginning; so be sure to pick up book one, Goddess with a Blade.

I received this eARC thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin - Romance | Carina Press in exchange for an honest review. Publishing dates are subject to change.

The vampires are acting up as usual but there also seems to be something going on with the witches.  Along with her husband Clive, vampire Scion of North America, her friend Genevieve, genetic witch and conclave senator, and a trick of dust devils who follow Genevieve, Rowan Summerwaite, hunter, sworn to keep supernormal secrets from being exposed in the human world is on the hunt. What she's going to find is horrific and it's going to take one or more books in this series to make the world safer for humankind.
An elite vampire club inserts themselves into Rowan's business and declare war on her. In conjunction her friendship and partnership with Genevieve brings her to the focus of genetic witches with an axe to grind.  In comes a group of shifters who attack Rowan in broad daylight on the Las Vegas strip, followed by a magical attack in a parking lot when in company with Genevieve and Darius.  Now the perpetrators of these acts are in custody and following the clues and bringing in some of the folks to justice is going to break open a whole new ball of wax.
As the team of Rowan and Genevieve supported by their significant others Clive and Darius and their teams start digging, they find evil in the name of business that deals with human trafficking and other coercive use of magic.  Rowan continues to grow in magic and ability and so does Genevieve especially with the magic at her disposal now that she has become priestess to the dust devils and begun a relationship with Darius the leader of the trick.
With cameo appearances by the First, his five and other members of the hunter and vampire teams the story moves along at a good clip. I love the glimpses of a possible flirtation between David and Marco, perhaps something the author will develop further in future books. All in love I loved the action and pace and the revelations as the story moved along.  I can't wait to see the shenanigans at the next joint council meeting and what the author has in store for this group.

Love this author. Her books are so fun to read and Clive and Rowan are fun. Once again they set out to find the people who attempted to kill Rowan, as a hunter she’s used to that but Clive well he’s a vampire, and her husband!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

As much as I was looking forward to reading this book (considering that the previous one ended in a cliffhanger) I have to admit that, perhaps because of the large number of characters or because it was probably pretty clear, at least to me, how it was going to end, I was bored. For goodness sake, it can always happen and maybe it was just the wrong time and it was too hot, so I'll pretend nothing happened and anxiously await the next installment in this series, which by the way, remains one of my favorites.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

Ok so I will admit I had not read the rest of this series before I read this one. While I am sure there are things I missed, I throughly enjoyed reading this story. Rowan is an awesome character and after reading this I went back and read the others in this series.

I didn’t realize this was so far into the series and felt very lost while reading. This is definitely a series to be read in order. But, it did seem very engaging from what I did read!

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book in this series, and this book was just too much to pass up. I admit I didn’t realize I hadn’t read the book before this one, and I didn’t remember much of the ones I had read as it’s been a few years and quite a few books. So, it took me awhile to get into this book. But once I did, most things came back. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, so I had a hard time with that. All that aside, I quite enjoyed this book. I love the dynamic between Rowan and Clive because he lets her take care of herself while still being protective. We have a couple of powerful women, and a couple of powerful women who aren’t supernatural which I also loved. This is a well-written, action-packed, engaging book, and I can’t wait to read the next one. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is number eight in this series and I have no idea what was going on. You need to read the others first. Three or four different point of views.
Rowan has a goddess inside of her and she gets stronger every day. Rowan is part of the Hunter Corp ( I really don’t know what they do) and was attacked and wounded by shifter wolves, in broad daylight, with humans around, and cameras on the street. Rowan is married to Clive, a very old vampire, who is Scion of the Vampire Nation. There is also a witch Genevieve who is with the Conclave that rules the witches, she is also a priestess. They are also investigating a bunch of people for Rowan’s attack which leads to human trafficking for vampires. A lot of secrets are revealed. And Rowan kicks butt and takes names.
I’m not for sure if I got this right. I honestly didn’t understand this story. So be sure to read the others first.

Another great installment on this beloved series! This picks up right where the last book ended. Rowan and Crew are still working to fully understand all that the Procella family are involved in and during the process another "thing" pops up in the investigation that requires investigation and provides some answers to long-time questions. I love the setting since I living in Las Vegas for 20 years. I love all the mains, Rowan, Clive, Genevieve and Darius. Plus the whole host of "co-stars". What I love the most is the relationship between Rowan and Clive. It has come so far and it's just #relationshipgoals! Love this series and glad Dane seems to be back making regular installments.
