Quantity over quality. You'd expect at least the first books in each section to be good, but they're just not. They're also above the head of the kids in the target age group. They just won't get the puns.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
A joke book aimed at primary aged kids. Like a lot of joke books around there are some jokes in here that tickled us, some that made us laugh out loud and some that didn't hit the spot.
A good buy for young ones with a taste for comedy!
There are so many great jokes in this book, some are ones I knew and many were new to me. This was great as my 8 year old kiddo is always asking for funny jokes and I was running out of material even with google. We read some at dinner and I put some of them in her lunch box and with the e-copy I was able to have jokes on hand! There is a good range of jokes in here suitable for all ages. I would recommend this one for sure!
Thanks to Cider Mill Press and Net Galley for an advanced e-copy of this book in exchange for a fair and unbiased review!
Get ready to laugh nonstop with hundreds of classic knock-knock jokes, silly one-liners, and hilarious puns sure to tickle your funny bone.
I love a joke book but this one I didn't find funny at all! None made me chuckle or even raise a smile, unfortunately, it isn't one that I would even want to skim through again. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinion are completely my own.
I honestly wasn't a fan of this book There were a few good jokes, but most were groaners.
Thanks for allowing me to review/read this one, but this one was just not funny. Not fun. Plus, I checked a preview of this one and I loved the way the pages looked, however in this one the formatting is all messed up. We just get joke joke joke joke random picture joke joke joke. As if someone just typed this out on word added a few word images and then be done with it. It was incredibly boring and definitely didn't hold my attention.
Not to mention the jokes. The jokes were boring. Lame. Not funny (well, OK maybe a couple). But I have definitely read better.
The Most Ginormous Joke Book Ever has some good ones! Many of them fell a bit short in our family, though. The content is more geared towards boomers, gen X and millennials, while the joke structures are more for kiddos. My husband and I understood where the jokes originated from but the humor was a bit young for us, and my kids didn't get lots of them. There is probably a target audience out there for this book, though.
Thank you, NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review. We did find some funnies and we had some good quality family time together.
From silly wordplay to treacherous tongue twisters, this humongous book has something for every kind of jokester. Never get tired of the same old jokes again. Jam packed with thousands of the funniest jokes, these goofy gags will have kids rolling on the floor with laughter.
Well I’m sad to say, this book missed the mark. Several of the jokes were funny, but overall it was actually a bit cringy. I read the book with my son and significant other. The only time we laughed was when the jokes made so little sense. Sympathy laughs. Sadly, this book just wasn’t funny.
These are just absolutely awful. Not even so bad they’re funny. Just really really bad. Not a single smile was raised. Disappointing.
