I have read and loved this series from the very first entry. Amanda Flower knows how to whip up a solid cozy and delivers every single time. Each and every entry is deadly sweet. Leaving you craving the next one.

Bailey King has finally reached her goal for her candy factory. Owner of the candy shop in town, it has long been a dream for her to open her candy factory just before christmas. With the local festival in town featuring her famous gingerbread recipe, Bailey feels on top of the world. However, danger lurks when one of her employees dies in an accident. I have read some of Amada Flower's other stories. I really enjoy her style of writing. She brings the scenes and characters to life. While she is not one of my go to authors, I am really wanting to read more of her books with each new one I read. I look forward to more from this author as well as catching up on her previous books. Wonderful addition to Flower's An Amish Candy Shop mystery series. The mystery was very interesting and had a couple of different sub-mysteries that all kept me guessing if they were related and who the culprit (culprits?) might be. I enjoyed the holiday theme, and thought the idea of a life-sized Candy Land game to play on the village square sounds like the most fun ever! The recipe at the end sounds delicious. Jethro is a hoot as always

This is a lovely addition to the series with a nice Christmas flare to start off the holiday season. This book could be read as a standalone novel. However, for those familiar with the series, it is fun to see the characters again, particularly Jethro, who, as always, steals the show! The animal characters are some of my favorite parts of this series. The giant Candyland game sounds like fun. it is fun to sleuth along with Bailey. And the recipe at the end sounds so yummy he so yummy!

Gingerbread Danger by Amanda Flower is an Amish Candy Shop Mystery and find us in Harvest, celebrating the Christmas holidays. Margot has come up with another winner; she has built a life-size replica of a Candy Land game board so people can play live. Of course, Swissmen Candy Works was supplying the candy. One day Bailey drives up to her chocolate factory and sees a giant red Candy Land game piece on the roof, not looking any too solid. She immediately asks Zeph, her handyman about it and he tells her he installed it at Margot’s behest. Bailey tells him to take it down the moment he can get some help. She doesn’t want him up there alone. Later she returns to find he has fallen, and is dead. To say she is beside herself is hardly an exaggeration and then, after Aiden investigates, he expects it was more than a simple slip. What will she tell his family?

Meanwhile Juliet and Bailey’s mother are conspiring to plan her wedding. Her mother had even hired a bridal consultant, and his ideas are far too over-the-top for Bailey. She decides to investigate herself and learns some interesting things. Zeph might have been involved with all the home/business robberies that have been happening lately. Seems he had been a thief since he was a little boy. Lida, his sister who also worked for Bailey, is beside herself when her father tells her she can no longer work at the candy factory. Things are spinning out of control, between her mother, Jethro-the pig, and Zeph’s death. She doesn’t know where to turn when she discovers Lida and Zeph have an older brother who has left the Amish way. Things start falling into place.
As always, Flower has knocked it out of the park. Her characters are interesting and lovable; Harvest is the penultimate small town; and the mystery is good.

I love this series, but Bailey and Aiden really just need to get married already! My only grip is that their marriage has been very drawn out.
Bailey’s parents are in town for the holidays and to help plan her wedding. Her mom, yikes! Maybe that is why they aren’t married already! Baily seems a lot closer with her grandma than she does with her mom and dad. Bailey’s relationship with her grandmother is the sweetest. Reading about their relationship is such an added bonus to this series.

I was a bit stumped this time by the mystery. I enjoyed this who dun it very much! It was engaging and I couldn’t read it fast enough.

I love visiting Harvest, Ohio and catching up with Bailey King and her friends and family. This time the Amish Candy Shop series is celebrating Christmas. Margot has gone all out and made the village square into a Candy Land Experience. And yes, it’s as wild as you might imagine. Bailey’s parents have come to town. The Swissmen Candy Works factory is churning out orders and donating candy to the Candy Land Experience. Bailey’s Mom and Juliet are tired of waiting for Bailey and Aiden to plan their wedding, so they are conspiring to get things moving.
There are burglaries occurring around town and many of the affected people are Amish businesses and homes.
One of Bailey’s employees at the factory falls off the roof and dies. It may not have been an accident.
There was an underlying sense of tension and danger throughout the book. The mystery was well constructed and I only had suspicions before the reveal occurred.
I can’t pinpoint exactly where this mystery became less cozy for me. Usually at the end of an Amish Candy Shop mystery I feel more settled with the ending and a bit of anticipation for future events. This time I’m left feeling a bit sad and empty. That’s what makes this four stars for me.

"Gingerbread Danger" is a fun Christmas addition to the ongoing sweets saga and has helped kickstart the holidays for me. Each visit to Harvest, Ohio is a sweet treat. Bailey has a lot going on in her life with her parents in town, the candy factory, helping with the town Christmas celebration, and pig-sitting. When there is a death at her factory, is it an accident or murder? I really enjoyed the characters, setting, and intriguing mystery. I recommend this book and the whole series!

Gingerbread Danger is another fun trip back to Harvest, Ohio where the village is gearing up for Christmas with games and festivities. Bailey King has her candy factory up and running. She and her Amish grandmother own Swissmen Sweets Candy Shop and the new candy factory, Swissmen Candyworks where they have a shop and tours. Bailey has her hands full running between both places, doing tasks for Margot, the town activity director, and pigsitting Jethro, her boyfriend Aiden's mom's famous pig. When a young Amish factory worker fell to his death from the factory roof, she has an added task when Aiden, Harvest's sheriff and staff decide he was pushed. So, we have another mystery for Bailey to solve during the busiest season of the year plus break-ins at Amish businesses and homes. To top things off, her parents are in town and her mom along with Juliet, Aiden's mom are set on planning Bailey and Aiden's wedding. Whew! No sleep for Bailey. This is a great addition to the series.

A cozy Christmas mystery, Gingerbread Danger is a delight to read. I enjoyed the characters as well as a look at both the Amish community and a plethora of candy and gingerbread.

When hosting a candy themed- Christmas at the village square an accidental death of one of the Amish folks turns out to be anything but.
It is up to the heroine to solve the mystery before someone else shows up and kills again.

I enjoyed the writing and this is a delightful book. Just before to eat before you read it.

Did Zeph fall or was he pushed off the roof of Bailey's candy factory? That's the question Bailey and her fiance Aiden (the sheriff) have to answer, and fast, because it's Christmas and there's a lot going on in town and in their lives. And that's the thing, this latest in the series (which cozy fans will be able to enjoy as a standalone) sees their relationship as well as Bailey's business expand. There's a bit of family drama as well but the real focus is on the mystery. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. No spoilers from me!

Gingerbread Danger is the 9th wonderful book in Amanda Flower's An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. It is like visiting old friends! The characters are very likable and the cozy mystery kept me guessing. Bailey and her Amish Grandmother own and run Swissmen Sweets and Bailey now also is in charge of Swissmen Candy Factory. It is right before Christmas and they are really busy. Bailey's parents are coming to visit. There is a life-size Candy Land Game for tourists to play in the town square and the annual nativity. One of Bailey's employees ends up dead and he had some secrets. Bailey's fiance Aiden is the Sheriff and the death is keeping him busy as well as Bailey and her sleuthing. Her parents and Aiden's mother Juliet want to get the wedding planning underway. Bailey's mother hires a wedding planner and Bailey isn't happy about it. There is a lot going on which keeps the book interesting.This is a very enjoyable cozy mystery and even after 9 books they continue to be wonderful! Another great mystery book written by Amanda Flower. This is number 9 in the series and I found that if you start with the first book and read them in order, you have a better sense of who the characters are. It can be read as a stand alone, but you will be amused by the shenanigans that Jethro the pig and Bailey, the chocolatier maker at her candy shop, can find themselves in. Amanda’s books always bring a smile to my face and I am almost always surprised by whom the killer is in her books. She does not make it easy to figure out and to me, that is what makes a great book. You will definitely want to add this to your “to be read” pile for sure and I highly recommend this book.

Unfortunately, a young Amish teen falls from the roof of the factory after a snow storm and doesn’t survive. It appears to be an accident until they take a closer look. Also, local businesses have been robbed. We don’t know if the occurrences are related or just a coincidence.

As the mystery progresses, we are subjected to an overbearing Margot as she stages an oversized Candyland game using the square.
I came to like Lida and wanted things to work out for her. I enjoyed this story as much as I have enjoyed the series. This book can be read as a standalone story.

Gingerbread Danger is the ninth cozy mystery in the An Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. It is Christmas time in Harvest, OH and it’s the first holiday season with the candy factory opened. Candy Land is coming to the town square as Margo plans a whole event centered around the popular kids game. Alls well and good until Margo insist a fake Candy Land gingerbread man is placed on the candy factories roof and it’s a recipe for disaster. When one of the candy factories Amish workers is killed, seeming by the gingerbread piece, Bailey must jump into action to make sure she’s not liable. Putting her sleuthing hat on, Bailey will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the matter even if it means coming face to face with a killer yet again.

I have loved this series from the very beginning and it’s one of my favorite, if not my favorite, cozy mystery series I have read. Coming back to Harvest, the candy shop and Bailey is like visiting an old friend and I am always excited for the trip. The setting is the perfect small town environment with great characters that all have their quirks. The mysteries are fun and easy to get into and the candy shop always has me wishing it was real. This series is one that always has me excited to read more and I especially love the holiday mysteries. Bailey is one of my all time favorite leads and I love how she weaves everything together, her city life, her Amish relations, her love for candy making, her nosiness that leads to excellent sleuthing. If you haven’t visited Harvest yet and met Bailey and the gang, I really suggest giving this great series a try. You will get a quaint setting, entertaining characters and fun mysteries that will hopefully have you coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what else comes in this series and Bailey. This was another great book in an already amazing series.

I’ve read a few books by this author and I really love her writing style. She writes really cozy mysteries. I haven’t read the other books in this series, so I might’ve needed a little intro. But I really loved this book. I think the Amish community is really interesting and I loved the small town setting. I love Christmastime mysteries. This book did not disappoint! Bailey definitely has her hands full with the TV show and her engagement. I loved Aiden’s character as well. He really supports her. I would definitely read more books by this author!

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries!

This is one of my favorite series and I couldn’t wait to read this newest book in the series. After all this time, most of the recurring characters feel like old friends, and I would love to visit Harvest during one of their festivals. I would probably have had words with both Margot and Juliet by now, but Harvest wouldn’t be Harvest without them.

While the body was found relatively early in the book, it took a bit for the police to decide it was a murder and not an accident. Red herrings added several names to the list of possible suspects, and I kept changing my mind about who was responsible. I’ll admit that I enjoyed learning the identity of the ‘mastermind,’ but the motive surprised me.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, even though I know it will likely be another year before that’s possible.
