I enjoyed this devotional from Mary Wiley about Our Highest God. If you are looking for a devotional to point you back to who God is, you will enjoy this one
It's okay. The format of the book is a bit confusing, and the structure isn't consistent (random devos have a prayer at the end, but the majority don't, etc).
Our Highest Good: 90 Days of Knowing and Loving God: A Theology Every Day Devotional by Mary Wiley is a deep, thought provoking devotional that I used as part of my personal devotion time. Each devotion thought has a an opening Bible verse with additional verses for further reading. Some devotions have more than one opening verse and may have a quote at the end. I love how deep and thought provoking each devotion entry was. Ms. Wiley's heart for the Lord comes through each entry. Our Highest Good really Ministered to me and I highly recommend it! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.
Our highest Good is an excellent daily devotional. The topics cover knowing God, hence the idea of theology every day. I appreciate that the daily readings make me think but aren’t hard to read or understand. The readings are a good length and 90 days is my preferred length – I like for it to last me a while but also want one that I will finish and move on to something else. This is one that I will keep when I’m done and take out and do again in a couple years. The book itself is gorgeous with a ribbon to mark your place. I have not read this through yet because I am savoring day by day but far enough in now to confidently recommend. If you liked New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp I think you would like this one as well. Thank you to B&H Publishing for the early copy to review through Net Galley. After reading the ebook for a few days I ordered my own hard copy after it came out on July 30. I’m leaving this review voluntarily as my honest opinion because I love books and authors.
