This book was written at just the right time for me. Lysa's insight and encouragement is "spot on". She writes with a caring heart for her Lord. Thank you for letting me read this book. It will give me a reference point when I'm feeling low.

I didn't know Lysa and never read any of her books before. However, after reading this book I will definitely check other books written by her.
Thank you Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Books for this ARC.
I started reading this without knowing much and the first pages were enough to keep me hooked. I confess I tried to read it slower so I could absorb more her words and not overwhelm myself with everything. I don't say this meaning the book is heavy or has too much information, but I mean I wanted to do this for me to reflect better on everything she was saying.
When she mentioned the red flags, I recognized a few characteristics in the relationships I have currently in my life and I noticed things I didn't before. I feel the need to recommend this book to everyone I know so they can experience the same thing I did throughout this reading.
Even though I have never been married or been betrayed by a partner, I think this book spoke to me in many forms. I believe everyone should read it, married or not. Those patterns, red flags and broken trust can happen in any kind of relationship.
Highly recommended it.

I love everything that Lysa Terkeurst writes. This was so helpful and insightful! I cannot wait to get the physical copy to highlight and take more notes!

I loved this book and this author she was so vulnerable and also was real when it comes to certain things in life! I will be reading this again and again

Loved this book so much! I felt like I learned so much by reading this book. I can't wait to see what she releases next. Hopeful that she releases something soon! She always helps me grow in my faith every year!

Thank you so much to netgalley & the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
With tears in my eyes, I’m trying to manufacture the verbiage to accurately describe how meaningful this book was during this time of my life. It was a blessing from above. Sometimes as you’re struggling through trust issues, the words aren’t easy to find to describe your situation or even come to terms with it for your own heart. This book made me feel seen by Lysa, but even more so, by God.
Lysa so delicately shares her own situation that rocked her own life, that must not have been easy to share with the world to be judged and misunderstood, but ultimately it gave her her own power back. She used it as a stone to move forward through betrayal & distrust and ultimately healing. I pray each of us can use this as a tool to provide a path to healing and more deeply knowing Jesus is with us and for us and he also experienced deep betrayal.
I loved the prayers & scripture towards the end of the book. These will be pages I continue to return to.
The story about the tree blown over that grew and continued to thrive despite the trauma had me in tears.
I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with betrayal & loss of trust. This will be a book to refer back to in times of need.

I think some books just come to me at the wrong time.
Or maybe are written by the wrong person?
It’s not that what she’s saying is wrong, per se, it’s just got the wafting stink of priveledge.
Sour grapes? Discernment?
Y’all can read and decide for yourselves.

While some chapters did not flow as well as others, and the section at the back was *not* helpful or worth including in the book (surprisingly so, as other TerKeurst books have great and helpful resources in the back... this fell very flat), nonetheless I ended up with several dozen highlights in other chapters/sections. With that many highlights, it deserves the stars!

I don' t really read a lot book with heavy topic. The title of book draw me in. Lysa pours her heart out and she were very honest about trust issues that touch my heart and some moments of tears. It was like a day I were sitting with cup of ice coffee with her as she tells her journey of ups and downs on healing from broken trust. One nugget I have gotten from her story is trust the process no matter how long it take. You are not alone because God is with you. I recieved a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Another great book by Lysa TerKeurst! I found this was better than her last book and dealt with issues you can definitely see throughout individuals as well as society. How can we begin to trust again and trust ourselves in the process? I'll honestly probably read anything she writes.
Thank you so much to Nelson Books for this advanced copy on NetGalley!

Another great book by Lysa. This was very encouraging and helped to give me hope. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

A lot of good information in the book about trust and how to work through these feelings of hurt. I always appreciate how real and transparent that Lisa is with her readers. She’s been through a very trying marriage and she is using her hurts and experiences to help others.
I liked her bonus chapter on organizational hurt. It is very hurtful when an organization turns against you. It is also painful when a person you thought would always have your back betrays you. I like how she acknowledges the hurt but encourages us not to give up on church or on trust.

Another inspirational and authentic book from Lysa TerKeurst. This one hits different than her others as she seems to be more forthcoming and direct in her approach. I love that Lysa doesn't shy away from tough topics, instead she dives right in with humility and wisdom. Thank you to NetGalley and Nelson Books | Thomas Nelson for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I Want to Trust You but I Dont was not at all what I expected. I expected more of when we feel like we dont trust God, how to turn back to Scripture that points to how and why we can trust him and this wasn't that. It almost reads like a memoir, and maybe that is what she should have written. It's a lot about her previous marriage with some scripture thrown in and a few other references.

Such a good and enlightening read. I always enjoy anything by her and am glad to have read this!
Definitely worth the read and recommendation!

In her latest book, Lysa TerKeurst offers readers a powerful guide through the painful and often isolating experience of broken trust. This applies to more than just infidelity. She tackles the heart-wrenching questions many of us face when betrayal strikes: How do I trust again? Where is God in all of this? Can I even trust Him when I feel so let down?
TerKeurst writes with deep empathy, sharing her own journey through broken relationships and the struggle to find healing. She doesn’t sugarcoat the hard truths: broken trust isn’t healed by time alone. It takes intentional effort, strategic reflection, and a willingness to confront deep wounds. This book offers practical advice for overcoming the lingering effects of betrayal and learning to trust again—not just in others, but in God and even in our own discernment.
What makes this book so impactful is TerKeurst’s ability to put words to emotions that feel too raw to articulate. Her reflections resonate deeply, and her guidance feels both compassionate and empowering. She acknowledges the despair while firmly leading readers toward hope and wholeness.
The principles and advice are biblically sound, and TerKeurst’s ability to tackle such a sensitive topic with clarity and precision makes this a standout resource for those seeking healing.
For anyone navigating the fallout of broken trust, this book is a timely and life-giving read. It offers hope without trivializing the pain, and encouragement without dismissing the hard work required to heal.

Lysa TerKeurst does it again. Lysa has a way of taking her own heartbreak and disappointment and leading herself and her reads straight back to Jesus. If you have ever dealt with broken trust and want to forgive and trust again this is the perfect book for your journey.

I Want to Trust You, but I Don't may seem like it wasn't written for you when you first start it. But I'm here to tell you that it is definitely for you. Maybe you haven't been betrayed and emotionally abused to the point where your marriage ends (I felt so bad for Lysa reading that). But maybe you've had a boyfriend who did something terrible. A friend who did something terrible. Trust can be lost with anyone.
Lysa gives sage advice from someone who has been there. This isn't some counselor or therapist spouting off what they've learned in a book but have never experienced themselves. Lysa may not be a counselor or therapist, but she has experience. She knows how to get through it - even when she didn't want to and wasn't sure she wanted to.
Lysa's knowledge of scripture was refreshing and worked greatly in the favor of all who read this book - you'll find comforting scriptures, prayers, and so much more. A definite must read if you're suffering from trust issues!

This book grabbed me from the start! If you have been hurt by someone, if you have problems trusting people, or question their motives, this is a great book for you. Written by one of my favorite Christian authors, this book is full of raw honesty, words of wisdom, and tools for learning how to trust again. Life is difficult, people are messy, and relationships, unfortunately, sometimes go in the wrong direction and people get hurt. Yes, you can learn to trust again even after you’ve been hurt. The Lord will never hurt you or be unfaithful and is there waiting to help you trust others when you learn to trust him. I am so glad I read this book. Thank you to NetGalley for the advance read copy.
