ARC Review:
Can I just start by saying how amazing and perfect the banter between the MCs in the book is? This book has the perfect amount of spice mixed with comedy. This was a fun read and a very easy read.
Thank you to Aurora Ascher, NetGalley & the Kensington Books team for allowing me the opportunity to review this book and be a part of the ARC team.
This was a fun read…but I did struggle at times to follow this writing. I was very much entertained by the paranormal setup this book has. I liked how Ash and Eva connected through music. I believe the first half of the book was solid because it really drew me in. It was the second half that I was very struggling with. I guess the plot there just got real easy and predictable for me. Other than that, I had fun
Love, love, love it! Ash and his demon brothers take care of each other, taunt, tease, threaten, and act like normal brothers would. Ash is so out of practice with women, due to a curse, that he is sweetly hesitant and trying to follow the "rules" with human Eva. I can hardly wait to read what happens next with this demon brotherhood!
My Funny Demon Valentine was so much fun! Ash and Eva meet at a bar and connect through their love for music. Even though Ash seems like he’s just a piece of wet cardboard to all women, Eva takes notice of him and his brain short circuits. This story follows their adventures and how a demon can learn to love. With a twist at the end that tied this together perfectly, I definitely enjoyed every minute of this. A tale of a runaway (and his very interesting brothers) and a girl who loves music, My Funny Demon Valentine takes you on a journey of a whirlwind romance, escape, and action. 4/5 stars!

I was so lucky to have received an ARC copy for this book!
This was such an adorable and fun read! I enjoyed diving into this new series and into a storyline I’m not used to reading. The banter between the brothers often had me laughing.
I absolutely loved the banter between Ash and Eva. I was DYING at some scenes and the spice was 🥵. There were times I felt that the story was a bit too mushy, but honestly, it’s more than likely just due to me not being used to reading stories that are similar. The 4 brothers were likable characters and the story was very easy to follow and enjoy.
If you like lighthearted, demon romances with HEA, this one is for you! I am so excited to read more about the brothers and dive deeper into this crazy family dynamic.
My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher is a captivating enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Filled with unexpected twists and revelations, this passionate novel is a perfect blend of dreams and sensuality.
Fun premise, fun characters, but the tone just wavered towards being too juvenile for me, personally.
Who needs human men when you could have a tall, dark and handsome demon from the underworld at your disposal? Aurora Ascher knows this feeling all too well in her Hell Bent series.
The deluxe edition of the first book, My Funny Demon Valentine, will arrive to a Kindle near you on Jan. 21. We were lucky enough to receive an Advanced Reader Copy and can confidently tell you this novel will have you swooning. After all, no one would be able to resist a jazz-playing Prince of Hell who finds his humanity in his love for you.
This was such a fun book to read! The story was well written and the plot was very well thought out and fun to read!
I just finished [Book Title], and it was a fun, fast-paced ride! The story moves quickly, which kept me hooked, and the mix of cute and steamy moments made it super entertaining. That said, the romance did feel a little too insta-lust for my taste. The female main character was fine, but I wish we had a bit more build-up and depth to really root for her connection with the love interest.
What I absolutely loved, though, were the side characters! They totally stole the show. The brother dynamic was especially great—funny, heartfelt, and just so well done. Honestly, I kept wanting more scenes with them because they added so much charm and personality to the story.
Overall, it’s a fun, light read with plenty of swoon-worthy moments, even if the romance itself felt a bit rushed. Definitely still worth it if you want a quick read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book. My Funny Demon Valentine is the first book in the Hell Bent series. This is the first book I have read by the author and I absolutely loved it. This book follows the story of Eva a musician and Ash a prince of hell.I loved the concept of the story of the four powerful legendary demons living on Earth. This book is well written, has action, some intrigue, romance and some spice. Once I started this book, I did not put it down. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading My Funny Demon Valentine!! This was a paranormal romance with humor, spice, and a bit of a suspense!! Ash and his 3 brothers escape Hell to live a different life on Earth. Ash loves music but cannot be a musician because he is a demon. Ash wants to be more than a just a demon and is trying to live a civilian life with his loud, hilarious, protective brothers. His love for music catches the attention of Eve. Eve is also a musician and is trying to discover her true self because she feels incomplete unless she is with Ash…but she doesn’t know his true form yet. They form a bond through music and their compatibility is off the charts. Their relationship exemplifies that you don’t have to change yourself in order for someone to love you, be who you are and those that see you will love you unconditionally. I love the bromance amongst the 4 brothers and Eve being protected by them. I enjoyed the twist and turns that occurred plus I cannot wait to read the next books in the series. Thank you NetGalley for providing me this ARC for an honest review.
My Funny Demon Valentine was funny, action packed, and overall a fun read. It was a fun entertaining read, and I loved the pace and balance between fantasy elements and romance.
This was such a fun read!! This is my first read by this author and will definitely not be my last! I loved how she blends the “today” of our world, with just a bit of the paranormal of another world.
Ash and his band of misfit brothers immediately snagged my heart. They have the perfect camaraderie and I love how they’ve created their own found family. They tease each other mercilessly but always have each others backs.
The other thing I loved was the chemistry between Ash and Eva! How their attraction formed across the room, in a crowded bar, over music to boot was such a way to suck me in! I loved having the dual POV to see both sides of the feelings develop, especially Ash as his are so confusing to him at first.
The plot twists that hit midway and just keep on coming were a very pleasant surprise and I will definitely be picking up book two as soon as it’s available!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Publishing, and Aurora Ascher for for an eARC of this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a wild and hilarious ride! I enjoyed every minute, and the action was non stop. The twists and turns were perfect, and there were enough hints sprinkled in that you were waiting on the edge of your seat to see if certain things were going to happen or not. The world and lore were enjoyable, and decently fleshed out, with plenty of room left to explore deeper as we get further into the series.
I loved how distinct each character is, and how they each had a very different personality and set of flaws. I can't wait to watch them grow and change through the future books, and hopefully find love too.
Eva and Ash are a great couple and it was nice to see that it wasn't all love at first sight with a perfect relationship in an instant. They struggle to make it work, and still have room to grow closer together. It's a beginning for them. The spicy scenes were fun, and not boring in the slightest as well.
Thank you to Aurora Ascher and Net Galley for the ARC Copy of the book, all opinions are completely my own.
I inhaled this book at an unhealthy pace, to be very honest. It hooked me from the beginning and still has its “long, curved claws” in me.
Ash is a demon from Hell that just wants to rewrite the narrative of his story and play piano, it seems Eva was just the Jazz enthusiast to shake up his whole plan while landing him exactly where he needed to be whether that was what he planned or not.
I loved the relationship between the brothers, because I also want to annihilate my siblings while also being ready to defend them to the death. The playful banter between them honestly had me chuckling out loud more than I have with a book. And can I say, Meph is my one true love. I want a whole book on that little ray of sunshine.
I thought I had the ending guessed and I was SO CLOSE! But honestly that made me love it more. I love to be surprised and can’t wait to go back and reread to see all the stuff I missed.
Eva is honestly one of my favorite MCs I’ve ever read. She is unapologetically herself, she is honest but kind, fiery but level headed, energetic but soothing. She has such a unique voice and I think I might love her, but not as much as Ash does.
Ash’s absolute inability to know how to interact with humans might have been my favorite part of the whole book. Honestly, all of the boys.
I can’t wait to read more books from this series!
My Funny Demon Valentine has been on my TBR for so long and I am so thankful to Kensington Publishing for an early copy of this book! 🫶
This book is so funny, spicy, and action packed! There was so much going on and it really kept me intrigued and on my toes! Also, as a girlie who has been kind of obsessed with paranormal romances this year, I love that this is a demon romance that has lots of different moving pieces to make for a book that really makes sure that you don't get bored! 👀 There were even action packed like battle scenes and a plot twist which is SO much fun to have in a romance! I'm pretty intrigued and kinda excited for the next books in this series and hope they are as interesting and good as this one! 🥳
Oh dear, my heart. I was kicking my feet while reading this. Could you imagine no one really noticing you and after 3000 years one woman does. It sounds like it would have felt amazing and then playing music together, their connection growing as their eyes met.....stop, my heart was set to burst.
It started with the sound of music and a connection of eyes. They didn't even make it to the bedroom, i enjoyed this story and loved the characters Eva & Asmodeus.
I’m so happy I got picked to read an early copy of the re-released version of this book. “My Funny Demon Valentine” had me cackling and swooning the entire time.
My first reaction after finishing this was “what a trip”. This book honestly reminded me of some of the cheesier episodes on the TV show Supernatural. Which don’t get me wrong I loved. I can definitely see how some reviewers might not enjoy that and think it was too much. But I had a blast reading this. And can honestly say I’m excited to read the next books in the series. Because I can’t wait to see what hijinks the demon brothers get up to next.
Back to the current book. “My Funny Demon Valentine” is a fast paced delightful read! It has a great balance of spice and plot that’s easy and fun for anyone to follow along with! This is the second book I’ve read by Aurora Ascher and I have to say out of the two I found this to be her better work. And I can’t wait to continue on with the series.
If can’t already tell I highly recommend this book. Especially if your a fan of paranormal romance. I’m so excited for the special edition pre-order to come out later this January. Lastly big thank you to Netgalley and Kensington for providing me an ARC to read and review.
This was one of my HIGHLY anticipated releases of 2025 and it minorly disappointed me. It was EXTREMELY good and everything I wanted until it wasn't. Around the 45% mark it started going downhill fast. The characters felt like the second they got together, the character building just stopped in its tracks and they lost themselves. The romance was pretty good though just the setting, plot, and characters kind of fell off and soured for me.
