was invested in the characters from the beginning! With all the fears, secrets, and desperation looming over everything, it was hardly a surprise to read about the lengths they were willing to go to to keep things hidden. A well-written thriller with twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the rollercoaster ride. Little bits of information were released at the right moments to create the shock factor without giving away the whole plot. While this was a good thriller, I wouldn’t classify it as a psychological one.

Don't tell a soul by Jessica Huntley.
Omg. I really did enjoy this book. I loved the cover.  I couldn't put it down.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This does have violence and abuse in it. I did feel for Elle. Vera surprised me.  My jaw was on the floor. Gripping and twisty all the way through.  I cannot recommend this book enough. 5*.

The book had a nice pace, with a good buildup that kept me interested. The story unfolded well, with a plot that pulled me in. However, the ending felt a bit rushed, like the author tried to add too many twists, which made it lose some of its impact. Even so, I really enjoyed the main protagonist—such a strong and well-written character. Overall, it's an enjoyable read, even if the ending didn't quite land for me.

Don't Tell A Soul is not for the faint of heart. It is a violent book with lots of killing and twists you won't see coming! It also deals with abuse so if you're sensitive to books with that in them you might want to pass on this one. I read Don't Tell A Soul very quickly as it just got worse and worse and I had to know what was going to happen. You will be rooting hard for Elle as she goes through so much in this book. This book does a good job of reminding us that people are not always what they seem.

Elle goes on the run as she decides to leave her abusive home once and for all. She's put up with her violent father for the last time. She's almost 18 and will find a way to live on her own. When Elle takes a bus to a new town, she gets a job at the diner, and a local cleaning lady offers her a room to rent in her house. Vera is the woman's name and Elle is thrilled to accept her offer. Vera is quiet and a bit odd, but seems good hearted. When Elle arrives at Vera's huge home she's given a tour and rules. Do not go in the basement ever and don't enter any room upstairs that is closed. Vera says she has many rooms closed up to save money on the heat. Is that the real reason? Why is Vera so paranoid about the basement? There's a huge deadbolt on the door to the basement. That's very odd. Why would someone do that? Are they trying to keep something in or something out?

Elle agrees to the terms and is so happy to have her own space up in the attic. It's so nice being on her own without worrying about someone entering her room. Elle has finally found some peace, but has she? She'll get used to Vera and her odd ways, right? Vera is keeping many secrets and some are in the house! Will Elle find out what the secrets are? What will Vera do if Elle discovers her secrets? This book keeps you on edge throughout and you'll be shocked at the twist near the end. I rate Don't Tell a Soul 4 stars with a high recommendation. I'd like to than NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an advanced copy of Don't Tell A Soul in exchange for a fair review. #DontTellASoul

The book was good. Not great. It was not much of a mystery as far as who done it. And it dragged at times. But it was a decent read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a super fast read finished in 2 sittings. It was a great psychological thriller. I really enjoyed the characters too. I wasnt sure if i should feel sorry for Vera or be afraid of her. I liked knowing what was in the basement instead of wondering. This book kept me on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what was next. I sure didn't see the end coming either!

I got really sucked into this story. I found it to be one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read. I really loved that we as the reader were told what was in the basement instead of keeping us in the dark. It was a refreshing plot especially because I didn’t feel like it took away from the thriller aspect. The plot twist and ending was something I definitely did not see coming. I did feel like the ending could have used a bit more especially with Elle and how her life changed. I felt sadness for Vera even though we aren’t supposed to. The storyline with Willow felt a bit unnecessary and I really wanted to find out what was a certain person dying from.

I really enjoyed this thriller! I definitely recommend for everyone to read it. It is a book you will find hard to put down.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

Don't Tell a Soul by Jessica Huntley is a thrilling masterpiece that captivates from the first page. Huntley weaves a suspenseful narrative filled with unexpected twists and richly developed characters. The story about Elle who wants to leave her abusive home and runs away to a small town, becomes a waitress and befriends Vera but not everything is as perfect as she thought. The atmosphere she creates is both chilling and immersive, drawing readers into a world where secrets are deadly. Her prose is sharp and evocative, making it impossible to put the book down. Each chapter builds tension, leading to a breathtaking climax although a little stretched, lingers long after the final page. Huntley has firmly established herself as a master of psychological thrillers with this compelling, unforgettable read. Highly recommended!

Don't Tell a Soul is a quick, fast-paced psychological mystery thriller set in a little village in the Cotswolds. We follow Ellie , a seventeen year old who's escaped her family home to start a new life on her own. This is where she meets Vera - who is also running to escape a traumatic past. Both have secrets, fear, and torment below the surface, and as their lives begin to weave and tangle together, we see how scared and desperate each woman truly is. As secrets begin to rear their heads, will the pair survive the aftermath of what unfolds around them.
This was a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you turning the pages to uncover just what will happen next from beginning to end.

I've read several other books by Ms. Huntley, so I jumped at the chance to get an ARC copy of this one. I absolutely enjoyed it, though not as much as others by her. It was quite predictable at times, which took away from some of the mystery aspect, but it's still an intriguing story. This definitely won't put me off reading any new books by her by a long shot!

3.5 stars

This book had me hooked from the first chapter! The characters are interesting, the story line is intriguing and the twists and turns kept coming. This one had an eerie setting and some gory scenes. I loved the conclusion and how everything wrapped up. If you’re looking for a true physiological thriller I would recommend this one. Overall, loved this and I will be checking out other books from this author!

The characters were very interesting in this one with a lot to delve into despite it being quite a quick read. I did see a few of the twists coming but this book also managed to surprise me as well!

I never seen the ending coming. The story was about a teenager that suffered abuse and woman that suffered abuse as a child. The two ladies live collide and nothing good comes from it. The book keeps you hook from page 1. This book will seen be a New York Times bestseller!

What a twisted take this book is.

When we think of twins we think of two people who have this tight bond. Who have this way of knowing what the other thinks without a word being said.

Meet Vera and Kevin. They have the bond………until they didn’t.

What a twisted tale! I didn't want to put this one down.

Don’t Tell a Soul is a gripping tale of secrets, betrayal, and redemption. Set against the backdrop of a small coastal town, the novel explores the complexities of family dynamics and the haunting power of buried truths.

The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Lily Turner, a young woman with a troubled past. As her sister, Emma, delves into the enigma surrounding Lily’s vanishing act, she uncovers a web of lies, hidden agendas, and unexpected alliances. The narrative alternates between past and present, gradually revealing the events that led to Lily’s disappearance.

Huntley crafts well-rounded characters, each with their own secrets. Emma’s determination and vulnerability make her relatable. The coastal setting is vividly depicted, evoking a sense of isolation and unease. The plot twists keep readers guessing, and the tension steadily escalates.

While the alternating timelines add depth, some sections feel a little slow, especially at the start, and some of the side characters lack development. It was a little predictable in places

Overall, Don’t Tell a Soul is a compelling mystery that explores the lengths we’ll go to protect our loved ones—even when faced with uncomfortable truths.

It took me a little longer to read this book as it seemed a little slow to start. Saying that, it did speed up as I got further into it. Vera was the type of person you don't know whether to feel sorry for or fear, but it soon became clear she was someone you shouldn't upset! There are other things I could say, but I don't want to spoil it by mentioning things that will make it easy to guess the end.
