Mia’s Morsels got the catering job for the Harvest Festival pageant and there couldn’t’ve been more drama if it’d been special-ordered. When a contestant’s mom was killed, Mia had to wonder if there was magic afoot and just what someone might do to ensure their own daughter won.

There were some good side stories too which were pretty fun. Everything ended with the fellowship of the Sleuthing Club in Mia’s kitchen along with some more good news. There wasn’t anything happening to worry about at the end, just a nice ending. I really hope there’ll be more books because now I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Cozies via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Six Stunning Swans, the latest book in Lynn Cahoon’s Kitchen Witch series, is an excellent entry. Mia Malone is working a job she hates, mostly because of her truly despicable boss who goes out of his way to make her job and her life untenable. While she is working full time at The Lodge to cover her mortgage, her boyfriend Trent’s mother is running Mia’s Morsels. This presents an interesting angle in that Mia is the owner, but Abigail is currently the manager. The “six swans” referred to in the title are six contestants in a local, coven based beauty contest. Mia is indeed a kitchen witch and nearly all the characters are magical, as well. I’m not someone who normally reads paranormal books, but this series has grabbed and held my attention, mostly because the characters are human first, witches second. There is a murder and attempted murders and there are many suspects, which adds to the fun. One thing I truly love about this series is that the characters and their lives continue to evolve. So many other series that I read don’t do that and suffer as a result. I truly enjoyed this book and buzzed through it in just a couple of days. Lynn Cahoon has become one of my go-to writers because I know I will enjoy any books she writes. I highly recommend this book but do think the reader should read the previous entries in the series first. Four and a half stars.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated are solely my own.

I really like the Kitchen Witch Mysteries. Each one builds on the last, so I wouldn’t recommend reading out of order or as a stand-alone.
Six Stunning Sirens is the sixth book in the series. Mia is still juggling a job at the lodge in Magic Springs and her catering company Mia’s Morsels. Abigail Majors is managing Mia’s Morsels.
Trent Majors is Mia’s boyfriend. His brother Levi is Christina’s boyfriend. Christina lives with Mia at the school and is the only other employee of Mia’s Morsels.
Magic Springs has a beauty pageant each year. Abigail bid and won the contract to host the beauty pageant at the school. The school was a magic school in the past. It fell into disrepair and Mia bought it in the first book of the series.
Someone is trying to either fix or sabotage the pageant, and people are getting hurt. Really it’s a bit complicated to explain, but it’s fun to read about.
I really liked Six Stunning Sirens. The characters are growing. The relationships developing and evolving. There is a problem from the beginning of the series that gets resolution. Cerby, the hellhound is such a fun addition to the series.
I recommend checking out the Kitchen Witch mystery series. Enjoying Six Stunning Sirens will be at its peak if you read the series in order.
Thanks to Kensington Cozies and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

When Mia's Morsels wins a bid to cater a beauty contest for her local coven she's thrilled. That is until she finds out that the contest is often deadly. When one of the participant's moms is found dead in her school and hexes start turning up all over the place she realizes that she bit off more than she could chew. It turns out that she was going to win the bid no matter the price and would have to do everything in her power to keep the girls and their moms safe from a killer in their midst.

Mia is trying to balance all she has on her plate and now her school is hosting the annual Magic Springs Queen competition. Much magic is involved and all does not go well. There is a lot going on in this book, but many threads are pulled together and it will make later books better. I enjoy these characters and how they interact. Magic Springs is a fun place to visit.

Mia's busy wrangling her boss AND catering the Harvest Moon Festival and its beauty pageant - and now she's got to solve a murder. This likely will be most enjoyed by those who have been following along with this paranormal series about a kitchen witch, her family, and the coven. Oh, and the animal familiars. The stage moms-wow. Cahoon has a nice way with characters and snappy dialogue. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. A good read for cozy fans.

We are back in Magic Springs, Idaho with Mia Malone. Mia morsels was chosen to host the Harvest Queen Festival for the magical community. There's been a history of drama and casualties. Mia is again busy working at the Lodge and dealing with Frank drama. When a dead body is found at the school. Mia must find the culprit and find out if the death was magical or human related.

I really enjoyed the mystery and following clues with Mia. I love the paranormal aspect of the book and learning more about the magical community. The writing is fantastic and hooked me right away. A perfect read for the Autumn season.

Wow, Mia has her hands full! Our favorite Kitchen Witch has way too many irons in the fire! Her boss at the Lodge, Frank is on the war path, trying to set her up to fail by not tell her about events until three days before they are scheduled, after Mia's Morsels, being managed by Abigail steals a big event from the Lodge. While Mia's excited that her catering business has a big job, she's not sure she wants to be involved in the Fall Harvest Beauty Pageant, this event has a history of nasty consequences as part of the prize is a position on the powerful coven council and means many magical shenanigans. Mia's right hand and little "sister" Christina has graduated from culinary school and is ready to move on, and Mia's grandmother is up to something big. When bodies start falling, you know it will take everything Mia has, to hold it all together, stop the carnage, and keep everyone she cares about safe! Come along if you dare! The sixth Kitchen Witch mystery doesn’t disappoint as we journey with Mia and the gang through the world of pageantry witch style!

Mia is still working hard to keep Mia’s Morsels afloat by working at the Lodge as the event coordinator while Abigail Majors her boyfriend’s mom and Christina run the company for her.
Fall is fast approaching and after winning the coven pageantry contract Mia is taking a week off from the Lodge to help get everything ready. It's all hands on deck, with difficult parents and hijinks abounding!

I understand and enjoy the alliteration of the title. After reading the book… the sirens portion throws me off. I took it to mean that we would be dealing with a new kind of witch. Totally not the case! We have a bunch of vain moms who are willing to maim and even it turns out...
kill to help their little precious win. Christina’s brother finally gets married and announcements abound! I feel like this is a very pivotal book in the series and should not be missed.

Not much looking back in this book, the mystery is completely contained within this book making it an easy and enjoyable read for the new and old readers alike. I look forward to reading book seven, which seems untitled now.

5 stars

Thank you to Netgalley, Ms. Lynn Cahoon, and the publisher for the ARC.

I adore the Kitchen Witch Mystery series and Six Stunning Sirens, the sixth book in the series, is now my favorite. Among the many things I enjoyed about the book is that we got to see a lot more interaction between Mia and Trent. Even though mysteries are my favorite genre, it is the characters that matter the most to me and I adore all of the central characters here including the familiars. I love that Trent's familiar is a Maltese adored by everyone even if he is a hellhound. I had no idea what to expect from this book since Mia's Morsels was catering a pageant put on by the local coven, but I knew it would be different than any pageant book I had encounter before. The lack of reaction to the murders surprised me at first, but it seems that deaths in connection with the contest have not been unusual in the past although the coven is trying to get away from that. The method of death isn't something you are likely to have encountered in your typical mysteries. All round it was a delightful and mostly fun read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington for allowing me to read and review Six Stunning Sirens, another winner in the Kitchen Witch Mysteries series.

This is the sixth in the Kitchen Witch Series written by Lynn Cahoon. This is a standalone book but I enjoyed reading them in order so I can see the personal growth arc of the characters.

The Harvest Festival is hosted at Mia’s Morsels to the chagrin of Mia’s boss at the lodge. Little does he know the lodge was never going to win that contract from the coven. Throw in some magic gone awry, a few mothers dying or being injured and you have a recipe for disaster. Mia still needs her job at the lodge to keep her business afloat.

I enjoyed that Grans, Mia, Abigail and her family pull together to make the Harvest Festival happen and to try to figure out how to keep everyone safe.

The denouement provides some twists I did not see coming. This is a great read!

I was given an advanced readers copy and am NOT required to leave a positive review.

Mia’s catering business and cooking school, Mia’s Morsels, are in the thick of things in Magic Springs, Idaho. The Harvest Moon Festival and Beauty Pageant is making everyone crazier, including feuding relatives and a body in the classroom. Great relaxing read!

This is a great addition to the series. Beauty pageants can be dangerous, but add in magical spells and they can become deadly. This book had a feeling of finality to it with several of the characters moving on to their next stages of life.

Six Stunning Sirens is Book 6 in the Kitchen Witch Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon.

Mia Malone is back and excited to be catering the Miss Magic Springs Harvest Pageant.

I really enjoy all the characters, Mia, Christina, Grans, Abigail and the animal characters as well.

Magic Springs, Idaho is a wonderfully magical town.

I enjoy Trent and Mia's romance and Trent's familiar.

A fantastic book! I cannot wait until the next book in this wonderful series.

Lynn Cahoon's Kitchen Witch series is one of my favorites, an excellent blend of ingredients, paranormal, mystery, romance and cozy baked to perfection. Mia and the gang are so endearing and I've really enjoyed watching the characters evolve. This recipe never gets stale and the author surprises me at every turn. I'm already looking forward to the next book!

Mia Malone is working two jobs to keep her dream of running her own business alive. Her catering company and cooking school needs help to get established and so she is also working at The Lodge, in Magic Springs, for the foreseeable future even if her boss there is driving her nuts!

Boyfriend Trent's mom, Abigail, is running Mia’s Morsels for her and has just won them the contract for the Miss Magic Springs Harvest Pageant, which is hosted by the local coven and, as Mia is about to discover for herself, attracts problems every year. When the body of one of the mom's is found Mia reluctantly begins an investigation knowing that the beauty queen business is anything but beautiful!

Book six in this great series didn't quite work for me. I liked the premise and the main protagonists were as good as always with Trent and Levi's relationships with Mia and Christina really fun to read about but there were also parts which were too stereotypical and formulaic which spoilt it a little. That said there are hints of forthcoming events which I hope I will get to read about before too long.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Kensington Publishing and Kensington Cozies, but the opinions expressed are my own. Although I enjoyed this it didn't quite reach the series normal heights. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars.
