It's DEFINTELY all relative!
Helena's mom is getting married. Helena feels "less than" in the presence of Steve's family, especially Steve's perfect daughter, Amelia. Helena, a schoolteacher, convinces her close friend, Landon, to attend the "perfect" wedding as her plus one.
Amelia appears to have it all. High-paying, powerful job, hot fiancé, the organizational skills that would put Erin Condren to shame. She's tall, pretty, on top of the world. Or so it seems. Despite the rock on her important left finger, a wedding date has not been set. And, also, when is the last time she actually laughed?!
It's All Relative by Rachel Magee proves that everything is not always as it seems. While Helena yearns for so much that Ms. Perfect aka Amelia has, Helena does not realize that she has so much that Amelia would love to have as well.
The narrator, Tanya Eby, does an excellent job narrating all the characters. The chapters were written in different POVs of several characters. All narration was engaging and done well.
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for the advanced listen in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a very cute, innocent, G-rated book. Bravo! 3.75 rounded up to 4.

Found family fun!
This was a nice fun little story about finding family after loss, and loving it despite how messy it may be. I thought the main 4 characters were all cool in their own right, I thought both Landon and Gage were both nice chill romance bros and liked how they interacted with everyone. I did have a hard time keeping Helena and Amelia straight though I think it’s because the names seem similar to me, but on the audiobook it was very hard to tell who was who.
I think the plot was cute but the inner dialogue bits got to be a bit too long for me and it was tough to try and get myself to finish this. It was good but not really my cup of tea! 3.5⭐️
Thank you to the Author Rachel Magee for sharing your work with me.

This is the first book I’ve read of Rachel Magee. I really enjoyed it. The narrator did a fantastic job and the book was engaging. I liked it a lot.

I really, really enjoyed It's All Relative by Rachel Magee!
This sweet rom-com (with a little family drama) had me hooked from the very beginning.
I highly recommend this book, I'm looking forward to reading other books by this author.

A modern retelling of Shakespeare's a Midsummer Night's Dream - this book was a fun, easy read, rom-com that would make the perfect mindless beach read. It was super predictable - but in a good way. The characters were fun, the setting was beachy and summery and the story flowed well.
While there weren't any real twists or things that were surprising, this was still a good time. If you're looking for a fun, quick read, clean rom-com - this book is it. It's the perfect, predictable, fun beach read.

I love a good Shakespearean retelling! The story itself is a genius mashup of Shakespearean charm and modern romance vibes with second chance love and witty banter. I was lucky to receive an audiobook arc and let me tell you, it's an absolute treat! I really enjoyed listening to it!
The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. She brought each character to life with such flair and personality. And the romance? It's adorable without being cheesy, with enough tension and humor. It's fresh, it's funny, and it's got just the right amount of swoon-worthy moments to keep you hooked. If you're into romcoms or just looking for something that mixes Shakespearean flair with modern storytelling, the audiobook is a must-listen!

Wow. What a great listen. I had a hard time putting this one down. Luckily I got the audiobook version so I could listen while doing things. Don’t skip this one.

Great beach read! Helena has anxiety of heading to her mom’s wedding and not meeting up to her new step family,The Perfects. Dragging her best friend along to sheild her from a week of wedding chaos. It turns out it’s truly a small world. Her friend Landon had a past relationship with her soon to be stepsister she refers to as uptight Polly Perfect. A comedy of errors ensues. Full of laughs, misconceptions, jealousies and love. It takes quirky laid back Helena to upset the applecart and make Amelia realize that life doesn’t have to be perfect and shouldn’t be lived out by duty. The narration was complimentary to this book.Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was ....odd. It is about a woman whose mother is marrying into a family. She brings her male best friend along (they have zero attraction to each other). She resents the family she is living into but has a crush on her new step sister's fiancé. Little did she know, her best friend is her step sister's ex. In the span of the book, I felt like there was so much going on that stories were not as well developed as they could be and characters were very one dimensional. It doesn't seem like they exist outside of the story. I wa snot invested in any of the relationships. This was a play on Midsummer's Night Dream but it didn't really translate well into a tale between a family. What person would state that they want to set up their step sister with their ex? I think it would be more realistic if acquaintances or mayyyybe distant cousins. Sorry...the cover was cute and it sounded fun, but it fell flat for me.
