This book is, as they say, a rollicking good time. There is a good bit of violence but none of it is graphic. It’s set just after World War I and the dialogue is as circumspect as you might imagine for that time period. It might be right after the Great War but a secret society with lots of very advanced technology founded by Nickola Tesla is the center of the story. I fell in love with almost all the main characters. I have not read the first book in the series but it made no difference in enjoying this story. It’s apparently truly free-standing. Lots and lots of twists and turns with action building, building, building! It’s a very enjoyable read and I’m happy to recommend it.
