#CollegeJocksandFratHouseBros is filled with fun, sexy little MM fantasies, all centered around university life. For the most part, I had a lot of fun reading these stories, which deliver exactly what you're expecting, don't overstay their welcome, and aren't so far-fetched that they're silly (with the exception of "Truth or Dare"—which I literally rolled my eyes at. But that's simply because the whole Heartstopper-esque mushy-love theme [which I'm not opposed to—I LOVE Heartstopper] simply just felt out-of-place sandwiched between so much hardcore smut. It also was a little ridiculous...hence, the eye-rolling). My only other criticism is the over-use of some words and phrases, mainly: "the guy" (overuse in the first story), "cock" (overuse in nearly every story), and "to the hilt" (every story). But these are only small complaints in a collection that I, for the most part, was very entertained by, and for that reason I've only knocked it down a star. The juice is extra juicy, and the vibe is mostly consistent. I kind of wish there had been continuations (Part 2s or 3s) of a few of these stories, even. If you enjoy short spicy stories in the MM category, I'm pretty sure that, overall, this little collection will not disappoint. 😉 Thanks so much to #NetGalley and #RiverdaleAvenueBooks for this advanced review copy. I will be keeping an eye out for more erotic stories from Matthew Cooper!

I was pleasantly surprised by this! A collection of gay erotic short stories. My favorite was probably a mouth is a mouth, because jeez I’m a sucker for that type of trope. I was also pleasantly surprised by how long the book was, and really enjoyed cracking into new stories. The spice was really good as well!

It really did remind me of some adventurous stuff from my own college days, so that was pretty fun too.

There were only two downsides I had when reading, one was the first story was a let down, so I was nervous going in, but that’s genuinely the only one I didn’t like because of the dialogue. And secondly, I wasn’t able to vertically scroll through the book which ultimately wasn’t a big deal, especially because I’m sure you can when you buy the book.

Thank you to Riverdale Avenue Books for this ARC copy!

College Jocks and Frat House Bros is a collection of steamy m/m short stories centred on college-age guys navigating passion, friendships, and attraction. This was a fun and spicy read, perfect for fans of short, spicy stories.

Though some of the stories felt rushed—which is often the nature of short story collections, in my opinion—the variety of scenes and characters kept things interesting. With plenty of spice, this collection has something for everyone who enjoys a bold, romantic read. I’d rate the overall spice level at 4 out of 5 chillies! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Thank you to NetGalley, Riverdale Avenue Books, and Magnus Lit for providing me with an e-ARC of College Jocks and Frat House Bros in exchange for my honest review.

To begin with I wasn't sure how long this book was going to be but it was long and I was a little worried, not that I needed to be considering it was amazing. The short stories were hot, racy, full of spice and engaging. However, I wish the stories were longer because they were so good I wanted to know more about the charachters. I won't lie, this book was amazing and I'm probably going to buy it paperback when it comes out! If you want a gay book full of spice on every page, this is the one to read.

I really enjoyed reading about the different sexual encounters that took place in this book. Considering these are short stories, there isn't a big focus on deeper connections between the characters, which is perfect if you're looking for a book that is strictly about gay sex!

My favorite stories would have to be My Room, My Rules and A Mouth is a Mouth. I found these ones to be pretty steamy and honestly wished they were longer.

This book definitely is what it says on the tin. I wasn't expecting greatness and it wasn't promoted as such, but I had a great time reading this book. The fire alarm one was probably my favorite.

It was kind of weird but also entertaining, I would recommend it like a palate cleanser between books

Your standard gay erotica. Some stories are more enjoyable than others but otherwise, a good read to just get away and be in your head for awhile.

Matthew Cooper's College Jocks and Frat House Bros is a standout collection of erotic short stories that delves into the vibrant world of college life. Centered around the lives of college jocks and frat bros, the stories explore everything from intense fantasies to casual flings, embodying the motto, "What happens between bros stays between bros."

This book was a surprisingly enjoyable read, even though erotic fiction isn't usually my thing. The collection features a range of m/m short stories set in a college environment, blending humor, spice, and a touch of drama.

Cooper’s writing is engaging and definitely adds a unique flavor to the genre. While a few of the stories felt a bit rushed, the overall variety and imagination kept me hooked. The book provides a fun escape with well-crafted characters and scenarios, making it a solid choice for a light, entertaining read. If you're up for something different and a bit steamy, this one's worth checking out!

This is a collection of mm erotic short stories. I liked the variety of stories and the imagination that the author brought to this book. However, I thought some of the stories were overly rushed and that overall, the book could have used a bit more editing.

This is a collection of steamy m/m short stories, focused on college age guys.

This was a lot of fun to read! You’ll find a variety of stories, guys, and setting contained within these pages. There is definitely something here for everyone, with lots of spice.

I don’t read a lot of short story collections like this, but the author did a nice job of world building here.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was filled with several sexy and raunchy vignettes of hot sex and/or lust. What I liked about it was all the characters. A lot of them were actually pretty sweet. I wished several of the stories were a bit longer. Overall, it was a very sexy, smutty and fun book that made me smile through out. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC.

perfect summer read

I’ve liked the book it’s something unusual but good. It captures erotic adventures and intimate moments of college life.
The characters are authentically developed but keeping the balance between the erotic tension and emotional depth. Furthermore, I’ve liked it to be able to dive into different scenarios of university life.

So, I can recommend the book to everyone who’s looking for a different summered

I'm incredibly thankful to have read an advanced copy of this book. It was great to read stories focused on LGBTQ+ characters within an anthology. The 'Weekend Surprise' chapters were probably my favorite due to the reader having more time with the characters. The dynamic between Leo and Kyle was also interesting to see. If future versions of the anthology are made, it would be nice to see them again!

My main issue with the anthology was how most of the main characters were described the same way. The narrator would typically be a leaner human tripod. The men they'd be intimate with were usually muscular, larger, and older. The only real deviations from this formula came with the 'Weekend Surprise' and 'Enjoy the Show' chapters. Most of it just felt the same to me, even with different overall plots.

Overall I thought this book was okay. I felt some of the stories were rushed and wished there was more to the storylines. I think this author's writing style and way with words just didn't hit with me. I am someone who loves MM romances they are my favorite trope. What I did like was how fast of a read this was. It felt like while reading it was quick and sometimes those are my favorite moments in books. When time just flies while reading it. Everyone should give this book a read if you love MM romances.

Thank you NetGalley, Matthew Cooper, and Riverdale Avenue Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

The title is pretty self explanatory, but this is a collection of erotic short stories. They are mostly casual sex and hook up fantasies, there is lots of consent, it's heavy on the physical descriptions, it's hot. I enjoyed this immensely. I also really appreciated the author's note in the beginning- Matthew's love for erotic writing really comes across, and there is not an ounce of shame in it, and I love that.

Read This If:
- You aren’t in the mood for anything serious
- You’re horny

The stories:

You Owe Me:Josh is looking for a parking space and instead finds a hot guy who agrees to let him take his parking spot in exchange for “a favor”
Enjoy the Show: Roger’s dormmate Isaac doesn’t mind Rog “secretly” watching when Isaac jerks off or fucks other guys
My Room, My Rules: Sebastian gets bossed around by a hot jock during a frat party
Weekend Surprise (Part I and II): A mysterious and sexy older man in the communal showers keeps the curtain open and lets Kyle catch him jerking off
Lock the Door: Will and Matt have had secret crushes on each other for years. Will finally gets the courage to approach Matt and is on his way over but gets stopped in the hall by a cutie looking for a quick bang. Will decides to oblige, and Matt catches them in the act.
A Mouth is a Mouth: Nate is “straight”, but his cock is so big it intimidates most women (poor guy!) Jay shows him how good he is at deep throating
Truth or Dare: “I dare you to fuck me”
Help a Bro Out: Andrew’s roommate needs some privacy in order to bang his girlfriend, so Andrew spends the night with his hot RA, Jeremy
The Cum Wall of Senton Hall: (My favorite of the series!) Our MC finds a secret bathroom stall where everyone goes to jerk off. He starts using it regularly, but on one occasion when he’s super horny, there’s another guy trying to do the same thing, whatever will they do?
Spring Break Buds: Tony is a “19-year-old virgin with a big, fat cock” who goes on spring break with 5 other guys that he presumes are straight. One of them is Buddy, a grumpy and stand offish hottie who keeps catching Tony checking him and the other guys out. This is probably the most well-developed story of the series, and my second favorite.

Concise without feeling rushed; balanced perfectly between sweet and, although I loathe the word, spice. It's funny as a reader of erotic fiction that you can also tell the author's specific likes and proclivities.
