I have just finished the latest in the Bree Taggert series and let me just say it did not disappoint. I did. It expect the ending! The characters are well developed and pull you in, as always. The plot is fresh and keeps you coming for more. Leigh leaves you guessing every step of the way. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a good mystery with characters you will grow to love. I am already ready for the next book in the series! Pick this book up today!

I sure didn’t see the end of this mystery coming. The book is very well written and no clue is given as to the identity of who might have been involved in the murder of two people. Melinda Leigh’s books in the Bree Taggert series are very easy to get involved with and hard to put down d this was so exception. All her characters are believable, most you love but some you grow to love to hate. It is very easy to follow Bree through solving a crime and basically not being able to put the book down. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

To say I like this series is an understatement. I LOVE this series! This latest book is really good. It some twist and turns that I did not expect. Kudos to Ms. Leigh! I liked Renata having more of a story here. hope we continue to see more of her.
thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy

5 Stars for Track Her Down by Melinda Leigh
Track Her Down is an absolute thrill ride from start to finish. Melinda Leigh delivers another gripping installment in the Bree Taggert series, filled with suspense, tension, and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The worst thing about finishing this book is realizing how long I have to wait for the next one!
The story kicks off with a gut-wrenching double murder, pulling Sheriff Bree Taggert into a tangled web of lies and deception. The emotional weight of the case, especially with Claire Mason as the sole survivor, adds a layer of intensity that is palpable on every page. Bree’s partnership with Matt Flynn is, as always, a perfect blend of professionalism and chemistry, making their investigation both compelling and deeply personal.
Leigh’s ability to weave complex characters with intricate plots is unmatched, and Track Her Down is a testament to her talent. The deeper Bree and Matt dig, the more the truth becomes obscured, leading to a finale that is as satisfying as it is shocking.
If you're a fan of suspense that keeps you guessing until the last page, this book is a must-read. And if you haven’t started the Bree Taggert series yet, you’re missing out on one of the best crime thriller series out there. Now, the agonizing wait for the next book begins!
Also don't miss out on the Bree Taggert - Mercy Kilpatrick cross over novel "Echo Road" by Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot!!
Thanks to Ms. Leigh, the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Melinda Leigh’s Bree Taggert series is a phenomenal series of suspenseful books and her latest Track Her Down is no exception. When a teenager finds her parents murdered after returning home from work, Sheriff Taggert teams up with her investigator to work the case. This fantastic book has a twisty end that I didn’t expect…what a great read!

Five enthusiastic stars as always. One of my fave authors and one of my fave literary families. It always feels like home when I delve back into a Bree Taggert book. This was no exception. Twist and turns and shocking moments galore.
This one was a wild rollercoaster from page 1 and the twists will leave your jaw on the floor.
This super suspenseful story is a must read!

Thank you so much @melindaleigh1 @amazonpublishing for an ARC of this book!

I love the Bree Taggert series! And this 9th book is no exception, the mysteries are always great! I was in for a surprise at the end that I wasn’t expecting!
We have Bree and Matt back investigating a double homicide of a married couple, found by their only teenager daughter when she gets home from work. Bree relates to the daughter now being an orphan and she wants the best for her. As they investigate this case, surprises come up of course, that has Bree and her staff questioning if anyone has good motives around this case!
It was fun to have a new officer’s POV introduced in the book. She’s a newer female officer who has interesting pieces of her story that resonate with the now orphan teenager. I also enjoyed the antics from Bree’s professional colleague, Jager, in the book again, and how some things tied back around in the story as a connection to her. It seemed some professional respect was built between Jager and Bree that is always nice to see!
This book doesn’t come out until January, and I’m already anxious for the next Bree story! I would love to see how Dana’s personal life is going too! I hope there are many more stories to read in the future!

Wow, this book was a constant nail biter. From the beginning, it was all out in out action. It was exciting, terrifying, and adrenaline pumping all twisted up into a loop of red herrings, missed clues, and aha moments. I loved this book. So far, all of the books that I have read from Melinda Leigh have been most excellent. I have yet to read a book of hers that failed to make me catch my breath in suspense.
Bree is just a fantastic character. She's tough as nails, sure of her authority but still also has a vulnerable side, and she really honest to God cares. A lot of characters that we read about come off as jaded or pretty much kicked down to the point where they're almost reckless but not her. She maintains a huge side of positivity no matter what trauma she, her family, or her partner Matt has gone through.
How she holds herself up every day is astonishing to me. And Matt is the perfect partner for her, out in the field and at home together. They balance each other out extremely well. I love all the back stories; it makes me like them more and they are almost more 'human' because of it. The world building is great, I feel as though I am right there with them. There were so many jaw dropping moments in this book that I figure if I am feeling this way then they would be feeling it jacked up by maybe a hundred percent more than me.
The writing is excellent. I love how she winds a story round and round until everything circles back around. Fantastic, just a fantastic book. And that ending! My gosh! My heart just about dropped out of my chest when all the final pieces fall into place. The shock of it all, just wow!! All I can say is wow! I absolutely recommend this book.
Thanks to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Melinda Leigh for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are honest and are completely my own.

Another fantastic twisty book in this series.
Bree is called to the scene of a double murder.
All is not as it seems with our victims. What secrets do they hold that led to their death.
This is my favourite series! Hope to continue to see more Bree books in the future.

I loved every single page of this book. It is human with a great cast of police officers who care, who have lives and who are kind to those they work and live with. The double murder is complicated and each twist, unlocks another unknown and another twist. The book keeps on giving questions that are slowly answered and kept me on my toes till the last page. This author is really writing books that hook me in and I can’t wait for more,

Another winner from Melinda Leigh. I love the Bree Taggart stories but this one went up another level. The development of familiar characters played brilliantly against the storyline, which kept me guessing throughout. There were plenty of twists which kept the story fresh.
Some series of this length can become a bit samey, but definitely not this one. I'm rooting for the whole family and love seeing how Bree balances her domestic responsibilities with her Sheriff duties. I also enjoy the little nods to her previous series. Both episodes 8 and 9 have been original and great stories. I highly recommend this and can't wait for the next instalment.

Absolutely brilliant as always from Melinda Leigh!! Twists and turns throughout. I would highly recommend it as Melinda always delivers amazing books.

Wow! This one pulled me in right from the start and didn’t let up. Bree, Matt and the rest of the gang are back. A double murder kicks it off when two hikers stumble across the gruesome scene. Such an intriguing story filled with twists, turns and wow moments that the reader will keep guessing until the surprise ending! Just when I thought I had it all figured out around 75% in … nope. It got even more intense and a shock. Hopefully we will get to see Bree’s brother get a HEA with the new deputy too. Melinda Leigh keeps hitting all cylinders in this series! Looking forward to the next book “Beyond Her Reach” coming September 2025!!

Okay, it's my sixth book by the author (in the Matt—Bree series). I have mostly liked all her books in the series. She has an engaging style of writing and I liked Matt—Bree chemistry in the previous books.
However, I think I am done with the series. Sadly, in this book, after like 14-15 chapters I began to lose interest. Still I continued but gave up after a point.
For Matt—Bree chemistry: it's diminishing since they moved in together. In the last book, Matt looked like a sidekick. In this book, their chemistry is non-existent. The story meanders. The Todd and Cady thing seems totally useless.
I am sorry it didn't work for me. Thank you for the copy. But I think I'll take a break from this series.

This book was a page turner from beginning to end. Absolutely love the Bree Taggart series and this one did not disappoint. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Bree Taggert series might be my favorite series from Melinda Leigh. All of the books have so much depth and so many like able characters. Track Her Down was no exception. After Claire’s parents were brutally murdered in their bed Bree must work quickly to solve the murders. This book had so many twists and really kept me guessing. Definitely another five star book from the Bree Taggert series.

As with all of the books in this series, I couldn’t stop reading it. I love that she continues the Bree and Matt storyline weaving in new characters as the series continues. She definitely has you guessing until the very end on who killed the Masons. I was lucky to get an advance copy by through NetGalley, definitely at this to your list of must reads!

An amazing, fast-paced mystery thriller, with lots of twists and turns, “Track Her Down”, by Melinda Leigh, is also a wonderful chance to meet again the compelling characters gravitating in sheriff’s Bree Taggert professional and personal spheres.
The story is full of surprises until the end. It’s one of the most engaging books I’v read lately in the Bree Taggert series.
The characters exhibit vulnerability, fears, showing they’re human. They are complex, nuanced; the villains aren’t completely nasty or evil. Even the animals show their peculiar personalities.
I loved meeting again Bree’s family, friends and the people in her work circle. The healing process in the family is showing its effects. The love, affection, respect between them is heartwarming.
I enjoyed how the relationship between the main romantic couple, Bree and Matt, is progressing.
I particularly adored the attraction between Renata and Adam; Renata is downright funny. I expect they will be a couple in the future because the initial interaction was delicious
I also enjoyed the evolution in Jager’s character and in the personal and work relationship with Bree.
