I don’t know how Jewel E Ann does it, but it seems as though every story she writes is better than the previous one. Her characters and story lines are funny, intriguing, surprising, heartbreaking and heartwarming and this story, From Air, is all that and so much more! All I can say to you about it is READ IT! You won’t regret it.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

This is definitely an emotional read. Fitz is a smoke jumper in Missoula and Jaymes is the new travel nurse living with him and his roommates. He’s grumpy and closed off, but shortly, Jaymes has him questioning his feelings. He’s lost a lot and doesn’t like commitment. Plus there’s a “no sleeping with roommates” rule, but these two are meant to be.

There are some unexpected twists and turns, but Fitz and Jaymie are meant to be.

A beautiful romance that you can’t put down. Just dive in and enjoy the journey.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

From Air by J.E. Ann, published by Montlake is the first book in the new Wildfire Series. A full length, stand alone slow burn that put me through the wringer, ripped me apart and then put me back together.
Jamie is a 25 year old travel nurse. She hasn't much family anymore, is a minimalist, realist; and moves to rural Montana, becomes roommates with firefighters.
Calvin together with Will and Maren gets a new roommate. And the grumpy island brooding looner and ornery man isn't excited at all. He successfully manages to keep everything at arms lengths. But Jamie burrows under hsi skin in no time - ha as if. This is the slowest burn I read in a very long time. Fitting for the story, but I desperatedly wanted to know what happens to Fitzy and Jaymes.
And just when he thaws the other shoe drops, the author is a master in letting the other shoe drop. I'm awaiting it with beated breath every single time - and every single time she delivers.
This book reminds me of Perfectly Imperfect, a previous book, it's the HIFI of books, high quality entertainment.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙞𝙧 follows travel nurse Jamie beginning her adventure in a four way rental in Montana where she meets Fitz, the grumpy smoke jumper who's not only fighting fires ever since she wormed her way into his life.

Everything about this book was incredible. It was hilarious, maddeningly sexy, complicated and so heart wrenchingly angsty. A perfectly balanced book.

Jewel E. Ann has been one of my favourite writers since the very beginning, when I first read a masterpiece called 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 and it continues till date.

It can be said that this author has never written the same book twice and each story you'll ever read will surely leave an impact.

In context of the story itself... I'll just say that be prepared with your tissues.
It's a tragedy this book isn't out until November because I just wanna gush out loud to everyone!!

Jaymes Lanette Andrews traveled to Missoula from Florida. Her time in Missoula is temporary so there were no plans of finding love with a man who jumps out of planes to fight fires. Fitz is the guy who is closed off emotionally. Jayme made it her mission to converse with Fitz, breaking down his emotional state one witty comment at a time. Her rental agreement prevented her from dating her roommates and yet they allowed the banter between them to become foreplay for what became a whirlwind romance of unexpected proportions. She became the fire he could never control.

The age difference never presented itself as an issue especially with the witty banter between them. Good gracious she gives as good as she takes and vice versa. The power behold the ability to wield words as weapons is strong.

Reading JEA’s words is the highlight of my day. Every book I open I’m giddy with excitement knowing I’m about to the crack the code on happiness. Sure some of her words will bring me to tears and cause my heart to stop more than once, buts it’s all part of the process to reaching pure joy. I’ve traveled every place with JEA in the book world and I’ve enjoyed every book friend she’s given me. I’m never sure which one I’m going to like more but in the end I just keep accepting each one.

When JEA writes it I read it. I literally dropped everything and gave my time to reading. It’s worth my time each and everytime. Once again I find myself immersed in the romance JEA created. I did it in one day. I gave myself one day to embrace the beauty and pain of this beautifully tragic situation JEA designed. My eyes leaked and that’s hard to make happen unless it’s a Hallmark movie moment, but she did it.

This was an odd one for me. I don't think Jewel E. Ann could write a bad book. Her books always grip me and I can't stop reading. The story for this one was a bit out of there for me. I liked the concept, but I felt like I was missing chunks of it to make it flow better. The main characters were kind of immature too. Not bad and I will definitely read the second book.

A book that I pictured as a movie immediately. I thought this was a romantic and entertaining story and look forward to more from Ann. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

One of my few 5 star books this year! I can't say enough amazing things about this book. I had never read anything from this author prior to this book but now I feel like I have to find every book she's written and read them!

Jaymes (Jamie) is a travel nurse tha goes to live with a group of people in Montana for a new job. She's not quite sure about the living situation but everyone seems wonderful, until Calvin (Fitz) walks in the door. He is standoffish and guarded but she's intrigued. Both seem to fall into a flirty, joking relationship that blossoms into more if only they can both get past their pasts to let the other in.

I rooted for Jamie and Fitz the minute they were together on the page. This book read like I was watching a perfectly directed and written movie that I couldn't stop watching. I read this book in a day and wish it hasn't ended! This romance had lust, spice, a slow burn, tragedy and hope. The character development was so spot on and the story just flowed so naturally. I fell in love with all of the characters, the story was amazing, complex and suspenseful, just wishing the two main characters would find love together. Would highly recommend!

Thanks to NetGalley, Jewel E. Ann, and Montlake for allowing me to review this ARC!
