Thank you so much for this opportunity to receive this arc.
It took me a little to get into it, not because it’s bad. It’s because I had to remember from the first book. But after I remember as I kept reading, I could not put down.
This is so well written, it flows so well, and it keeps on wanting you more and more.
The spice is so much more than the first. I give it
🌶️🌶️🌶️
I so can’t wait to read the next book.
I’m so glad that it answered so many answers from the first one. Of course there’s still more to be answered, but I’m so glad that it didn’t leave me in suspense on waiting for more books to get some even answers.

Comparing this book to the first one, there are things that are better, and there are things that are not. One thing that is better, is that this book was definitely written more like an actual book, and not just like something you would find on WattPad. However, the pacing is really off and I found myself not really able to grab onto anything to keep my attention. Things go really slow for the whole first half of the book, even a little bit passed halfway, and until the reunion happens, there's not really anything notable.

The romance was lackluster in the first book, and it did continue into this book. We know that in the first book, Ragnor gave Aileen the imprint and turned her into a vampire because he couldn't control himself and, instead of being angry for long about her entire life being destroyed and with the potential of being sold to another vampire league, she sleeps with him. Constantly. Now, he didn't buy her in the auction even though he told her that he would, but she's still soooo obsessed. Ragnor actually pays to have someone else uncover Aileen's past, because the two don't actually know anything about each other. I just didn't really like either of them.

The introduction of Aileen's powers is something that I found interesting in this book and I hope that this is explored more, as well as Aileen's backstory and the Morrow Gods. Due to my curiosity, I may check out the next book in this series.

I really liked the first book in this series but I’m so disappointed to say that this one did not live up to the same hype for me. This book really bored me and I had a hard time getting into it. Aelin seemed more annoying than usual. Ragnor was hard to like in this one to the point that I don’t want him to end up with Aelin anymore. The only things that kept me reading was the lore of the Morrow gods and Aelin’s past.

I don’t think that I can recommend this book to anyone and I’m seriously debating whether I want to continue this series.

Thank you to the author Sapir, Montlake Publishing, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

Blood of the Gods, the second book in the Cloak of the Vampires series, picks up where the first book left off and delivers a satisfying enough conclusion, even though the story isn't finished. Like the first book, this one was a gripping read that I couldn't put down. However, it's important to note that the story contains some heavy themes that might be uncomfortable for some readers. I'd recommend checking out the trigger warnings before diving in. While there's not really any explicit graphic content, the book does touch on sexual abuse of children, cutting, non-consensual acts, and physical abuse. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this second book and I'm eager to find out what happens next!

I could not wait to get my hands on this!!!!!!! I loved this book! It was an incredible read and shed so much more light on questions I had in the first book! It’s an adult vampire fantasy and the story is addicting! Loved this book! If you’re into action packed, academia fantasy and spice, plus a world of vampires !? Pick this up!

My first read from this author but unfortunately Blood of the Gods is the second book in the Cloak of the Vampire series, something I didn’t realise until I was a couple of chapters into the story and this is definitely one of those stories where you really need to read the books in release order. Saying that I did keep reading as I felt myself sucked into Aileen’s story as she finds herself sold into a new vampire clan by the man who had made her a vampire without her consent and then seduced her but now it seems that her previous lord regrets selling her but then the story would refer back to events of the first book and I was lost.

The world building was first class as this author created a dark and sultry world that gave me dystopian vibes. Where everyone seemed to have their own agenda, and I was intrigued that there was just as much class distinction between vampires as there was in the human world Aileen had left behind. The plot itself was full of twists and turns and although I struggled to keep up with what was going on, it has left me desperate to read more but before the next book releases, I’ll definitely be going back to the start of the series and finding out how it all began.

Loved it! This delves deeper into the questions from book 1 and we find out a bit more of both Ragnor and Aileen’s past. We still don’t know what “horrible thing” she did to Logan… I’m doubting that’ll ever be answered.

I missed that this was book two, but I have read both books in 4 days, so I think that speaks volumes for the entertainment and flow of the book.

I love the intricacy of the world, and the Leagues of Vampires. The idea that Vampire society essentially boils down to secret societies is such a unique angle on Vampires.
I wasn't obsessed with the spice, some of the terms of phrase felt a little awkward, but it didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment of the book. It's had good pacing, without much "down-time" between action, which I really enjoyed.

I'm looking forward to continuing Ragnor and Aileens journey in the next one.

Sapir Englard In Blood of the Gods creates a complex world that she floods with details and easily brings to life for her audience!

Blood of the Gods takes Aileen Henderson to a whole other level of intrigue and danger. Not only does Aileen confront the evil of others but she reconciles with the evil that lived within her for some introspective and challenging moments. Whereas in the first book of this series there was a gradual build up of revelations in book two there was little respite from the truths that haunted Aileen and the agendas of others. The continued push and pull of Aileen and Ragnor Rayne, vampire lord, occupied both characters with their inescapable attraction and relationship baggage.

Sapir Englard's extensive imagination shines in her writing, bringing her readers to the vast and comprehensive worlds she creates. Strong portrayals struggle with their morals and keep things interesting in very gray areas. Blood of the Gods is a memorable sequel and will leave readers craving more of Sapir Englard's scheming vampires!

Blood of the Gods, the sequel to Cloak of the Vampire, picks up right where the first book left off, delivering an even more gripping story. The dark, sumptuous world of vampire leagues is expanded, delving deeper into the complex political and power dynamics that make this series so addictive.

Aileen Henderson’s backstory takes center stage, revealing haunting details about her childhood and adding depth to her character. Ragnor Rayne’s history is also explored, heightening the intrigue and the simmering tension between the two. Aileen must navigate a dangerous world where enemies lurk everywhere and alliances are fragile. Just as she begins to carve a path for herself, the return of ancient gods forces her to confront her darkest nightmares and embrace a destiny she never expected.

The world-building shines in this installment, with the intricacies of vampire society pulling readers deeper into its seductive and treacherous allure. Fans of vampire romance with rich political intrigue and a touch of fantasy will find this series dangerously addictive. With its intense plot twists and captivating characters, this sequel sets the stage for an epic conclusion

Great book especially for a book 2. Was finished within a day and loved how it went into more details on Aileen. Good strong ending and I’m excited for a book 3

Blood of the Gods by Sapir A. Englard was a really great read.
I was beyond hooked and enjoyed every second of this book.

It took me a while to get into the first book in this series, but this one had me hooked from the very beginning. This book is full of danger, passion, intrigue, and heat. It also broke my heart in places and surprised me a few times. I am on the edge of my seat right now, and I really need to have the next book as soon as possible so I can see where this story goes from here.

Blood of the Gods follows on from Cloak of the Vampire and I find myself now eagerly waiting for the next book in this saga after finishing this second installment.

As a new reader of paranormal suspense and romance I found myself entering deeper into Aileen’s world of vampires and becoming more and more hooked about uncovering the mysteries and background of this wonderful mystical series.

As a character, Aileen is fiesty and courageous at the same time as being vulnerable and kind. Ragnor, Aileen’s love and hate interest, is equally as interesting a character in his own alpha, vampire way. Who doesn't love an alpha, bad boy with a soft passionate heart for the woman he loves?

Written with eloquent beauty this story is both full of torment and passion and I would recommend this read to anyone who enjoys this genre. I will be now looking with anticipation for any books by Sapir a. Englard. Thank you Netgally and the publisher for allowing me to read this book prior to release.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was a good continuation of the cloak of the vampire. It was interesting to get a more in depth look at other vampire leagues and how they operate differently.

Blood of the Gods by Sapir A. Englard takes us back to the sinful and suspenseful world of Vampire leagues. Aileen and Ragnor are going to face many adversities and it's just the beginning of their fight against enemies. Their own heartbreak and angst is another challenge. The author transports us to a fantastical world where you will lose yourself in the twists and turns.

This is book two of a series and must be read in order. Aileen Henderson is heartbroken when Lord Ragnor didn't keep her in his league and she was sold to Lord Atalon. The new Lord is very charming and flirting with her but she isn't thinking of anyone else except Ragnor. Ragnor realises what a big mistake he made but he will have to plan carefully to get her back. On the other hand, Aileen finds that she has powerful magic and she isn't a Commoner..she is Sacred. Different forces are attacking the vampire world. Is she a pawn? What will happen when her real identity as the Last Child of Kahil is exposed and the Morrow Gods become a real danger? Will Ragnor be able to win her trust..her love back?

A lot of things are happening here so it can be a bit of sensory overload. You will leave the book with lots of question. Specially about Aileen and Ragnor. Many truths have come out but it just made everything more complicated. Ragnor shows his alpha protective and possessive side so intensely here. He is literally declaring war against powerful Vampire lords for Aileen. He also has to take care of his own league and the Vampire world from the Jinnis. Aileen is angry and confused and lost and terrified. She still suffers from immense guilt and hatred about her past. She is heartbroken too. This one is full of angst and heartache. But the action and suspense play important role too. It ends with a massive cliffhanger and I cannot wait for next book.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

Blood of Gods is the continuation of the Cloak of a Vampire series by Sapire A England.

It is told in first person Dual POV from Aileen and Ragnor.
We get more of Aileen’s backstory as well as adjusting to her new life as a vampire and at Atalon. We also begin to unravel the Morrow Gods mystery.

Book 2 feels a little slower paced than Cloak of a Vampire, but I belief it’s because of the amount of information packed into this one.

I cannot wait for the next in the series.

This sequel did not disappoint!

I have never been so happy to receive an advanced copy. After finishing the first book, Cloak of the Vampire, I was so ready for the next book.

I love that we learn more about Aileen's past and who she is. I enjoyed learning more about the other Leagues. I'm curious to find out what will happen with Lord Renaldi and is girls. And I'm sitting on pins and needles to find out exactly what Lord Ragnor was before he became a vampire.

A little disclaimer: These books are written in deep POV. So there are questions you don't have answers too. As the character reveals them or another character figures it out, you're just as blind as they are. But that is what makes these books climb right to the top of my favorite list.

Now I just need a countdown for the next book!

Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Sapir A. Englard for the advanced copy. It did in no way effect my review.

“I knew so well what it felt like to be at the mercy of a monster who would do anything to get what he wanted. To be forced to become a monster too.”

“Blood of the Gods,” by Sapir A. Englard

I really liked book 1 of the Cloak of the Vampires series and this one did not disappoint. The amount of family trauma and cults mixed in with enemies to lovers was perfect. I love how Aileen is strong and willing to do what needs to be done but also is kindhearted and wants to be better than she was raised. I love how messy and complicated her life has become even after all the mess of her life in book 1. I can’t wait to read more of the series. 4 out of 5 stars.

-Vampires
-Enemies To Lovers
-Family Trauma

Thank you for the ARC, Netgalley.
