Great book especially for a book 2. Was finished within a day and loved how it went into more details on Aileen. Good strong ending and I’m excited for a book 3

Blood of the Gods by Sapir A. Englard was a really great read.
I was beyond hooked and enjoyed every second of this book.

It took me a while to get into the first book in this series, but this one had me hooked from the very beginning. This book is full of danger, passion, intrigue, and heat. It also broke my heart in places and surprised me a few times. I am on the edge of my seat right now, and I really need to have the next book as soon as possible so I can see where this story goes from here.

Blood of the Gods follows on from Cloak of the Vampire and I find myself now eagerly waiting for the next book in this saga after finishing this second installment.
As a new reader of paranormal suspense and romance I found myself entering deeper into Aileen’s world of vampires and becoming more and more hooked about uncovering the mysteries and background of this wonderful mystical series.
As a character, Aileen is fiesty and courageous at the same time as being vulnerable and kind. Ragnor, Aileen’s love and hate interest, is equally as interesting a character in his own alpha, vampire way. Who doesn't love an alpha, bad boy with a soft passionate heart for the woman he loves?
Written with eloquent beauty this story is both full of torment and passion and I would recommend this read to anyone who enjoys this genre. I will be now looking with anticipation for any books by Sapir a. Englard. Thank you Netgally and the publisher for allowing me to read this book prior to release.
#BloodoftheGodsCloakoftheVampire #NetGalley.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was a good continuation of the cloak of the vampire. It was interesting to get a more in depth look at other vampire leagues and how they operate differently.

Blood of the Gods by Sapir A. Englard takes us back to the sinful and suspenseful world of Vampire leagues. Aileen and Ragnor are going to face many adversities and it's just the beginning of their fight against enemies. Their own heartbreak and angst is another challenge. The author transports us to a fantastical world where you will lose yourself in the twists and turns.
This is book two of a series and must be read in order. Aileen Henderson is heartbroken when Lord Ragnor didn't keep her in his league and she was sold to Lord Atalon. The new Lord is very charming and flirting with her but she isn't thinking of anyone else except Ragnor. Ragnor realises what a big mistake he made but he will have to plan carefully to get her back. On the other hand, Aileen finds that she has powerful magic and she isn't a Commoner..she is Sacred. Different forces are attacking the vampire world. Is she a pawn? What will happen when her real identity as the Last Child of Kahil is exposed and the Morrow Gods become a real danger? Will Ragnor be able to win her trust..her love back?
A lot of things are happening here so it can be a bit of sensory overload. You will leave the book with lots of question. Specially about Aileen and Ragnor. Many truths have come out but it just made everything more complicated. Ragnor shows his alpha protective and possessive side so intensely here. He is literally declaring war against powerful Vampire lords for Aileen. He also has to take care of his own league and the Vampire world from the Jinnis. Aileen is angry and confused and lost and terrified. She still suffers from immense guilt and hatred about her past. She is heartbroken too. This one is full of angst and heartache. But the action and suspense play important role too. It ends with a massive cliffhanger and I cannot wait for next book.
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

Blood of Gods is the continuation of the Cloak of a Vampire series by Sapire A England.
It is told in first person Dual POV from Aileen and Ragnor.
We get more of Aileen’s backstory as well as adjusting to her new life as a vampire and at Atalon. We also begin to unravel the Morrow Gods mystery.
Book 2 feels a little slower paced than Cloak of a Vampire, but I belief it’s because of the amount of information packed into this one.
I cannot wait for the next in the series.

This sequel did not disappoint!
I have never been so happy to receive an advanced copy. After finishing the first book, Cloak of the Vampire, I was so ready for the next book.
I love that we learn more about Aileen's past and who she is. I enjoyed learning more about the other Leagues. I'm curious to find out what will happen with Lord Renaldi and is girls. And I'm sitting on pins and needles to find out exactly what Lord Ragnor was before he became a vampire.
A little disclaimer: These books are written in deep POV. So there are questions you don't have answers too. As the character reveals them or another character figures it out, you're just as blind as they are. But that is what makes these books climb right to the top of my favorite list.
Now I just need a countdown for the next book!
Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Sapir A. Englard for the advanced copy. It did in no way effect my review.

“I knew so well what it felt like to be at the mercy of a monster who would do anything to get what he wanted. To be forced to become a monster too.”
“Blood of the Gods,” by Sapir A. Englard
I really liked book 1 of the Cloak of the Vampires series and this one did not disappoint. The amount of family trauma and cults mixed in with enemies to lovers was perfect. I love how Aileen is strong and willing to do what needs to be done but also is kindhearted and wants to be better than she was raised. I love how messy and complicated her life has become even after all the mess of her life in book 1. I can’t wait to read more of the series. 4 out of 5 stars.
-Cults
-Vampires
-Enemies To Lovers
-Family Trauma
Thank you for the ARC, Netgalley.

“I was done dancing to the Lords’ tune. Now, it was time to dance to my own”
“I wanted you since I have you the Imprint. I wanted to feel you since the first time I pinned you to the ground and told you to yield”
This book was exactly what I wanted and then some. It was the sequel I was desperately craving after book one. Aileen is even more interesting as a character this time around. She is scared, scarred, fragile and yet strong, kind and yet fearsome. She is incredibly powerful and yet not fully capable of understanding heed own powers. I loved that we got to know more about her backstory and the whole ordeal with the gods that happened in book one. It gave so much more depth to this character that it didn’t have before. And Ragnor … to be completely honest with you, for a second there, I thought that he wasn’t even the real love interest anymore, so used I am to other books making me change my mind. But I couldn’t forsake him. And it seems Aileen couldn’t either. He is stronger, wilder, more obsessed and even more possessive. He is eaten by guilt and he doesn’t know what to do with himself when the woman he was obsessed with is gone in another League. We have spice, we have passion we have angst (the best kind to be honest) and we have sweetness somehow. I loved it. Their dynamic was back to stage one. An enemies to lovers to the max. But this time there is something more. There is a feeling none of them is able to deny anymore. A feeling that will hunt them until the end. And it was so good to read !!! And I’m once again left with a cliffhanger !!! I need book three like NOW !!!!
“You want me to kill for you? I’d do it”
“Let’s agree we’re both monsters. Isn’t it the perfect match, then?”

This book was devastating. The plot, the magic, the world. and the MCs were EVERYTHING. I loved how the author was able to create all the small nuances within the story but also plotted a delicious enemy to lover romance. The FMC was the charter that kept me intrigued most of the book and I enjoyed seeing her development and growth as I read more.

I thoughts the first book was interesting. I felt the label of vampire is a stretch for the characteristics of the species. I felt this book there were a lot of jumping around.

I loved Blood of the gods. I had read cloak of the vampire on kindle unlimited so was extremely excited to find an advance copy of this available on net gallery so I could skip waiting until official publication. This series is really well written with a compelling story, something that a lot of Romantasy books forget is important. Although, that doesn’t mean the author held back on the spice ;) Would recommend this series for anyone who is a fan of Geneva Lee’s filthy rich vampire series.

A well deserved 5 stars.. being the second book in the series I was already hooked.
To find out the fate of Aileen after the auction, we follow her story to find there’s more than we first thought. Without giving anything away, this book is truly brilliant and I can’t wait for the third in the series!

A solid second book in the Cloak of the Vampire series.
We follow Aileen on her journey into Altons league. She tries to make a new Home for herself to help forget Ragnors Betrayal at the auction. She throws herself into her new job and friends. But her suspicions start to grow as her new lord starts making advances.
This book explores the vampire and supernatural world further. We learn a little more about the children of kahil and what that could mean for Aileen. There is plenty of intrigue mystery and danger on the horizon. Let not forget thats theres also get plenty of super hot spice.

This was a very wild ride-as far as reading a novel goes. I liked the non-stop action without the teenage angst that comes with highly dramatic teen novels. I loved reading about a female main character with a dark, mysterious past and her efforts to fight for her future in a cruel vampire society. She also fights pretty hard against loving a bad boy, but keeps getting sucked right back into that drama. I would highly recommend this series for those who love romantasy.

Oh. My. Lord!!!!
Just wow. Thank god we learn more about Aileens past as well as Ragnors, BUT there are still so many questions and I cannot wait to find out and see where this book is going!
There was so much that happened in this book that gave you answers but also I kept asking questions! One thing was answered but others were brought up! The spice!!!! we all knew there would be good sex scenes and Sapir did not disappoint.
I cannooootttt wait to read the next book (I am hoping it’s the last one because I hate waiting!!)

Vampire romance with a mystic touch
I'm happy that in book two, we got to know more about Aileens past.
The story is well written, and we got both POV'S (Aileen & Rayne) in the third person. This double POV'S help me to get better access to both inner motivations.
And the language is easy even for an non native reader to understand.
Into the story:
We're getting right into the story by getting a little glimpse into what we already know from Aileens life from book one. We pick up right after how book one ended. Now that the auction is done, Aileen needs to get into new customs of a new league.
The story is getting a lower pacing with all Aileen needs to get through, and even her feelings are at another place.
Characters:
Relationships are complicated, and with all that came into Aileens life, there are friendly and not so friendly people, aka vampires, in her way. She needs to get her feelings sorted and realize what she can do. I could relate to Aileen, but on little bits, I was questioning her "maturity."
But in the end, I got it.
About Rayne. I like him, but sometimes I wish to put some sense into his stubborn head. Chapter by chapter from his side, I was able to get there, too. I marked a few of his lines that are truly romantic.
Conclusion:
A well written second book in the "Vampire Cloak"- Series with strong headed main characters. A well and strong plotted book with a touch of romance and a little mystic sense.
Information
This is the second book of the Vampire cloak series.
1. Vampire Cloak
2. Blood of the gods
I've got an advanced reader copy through netgalley. This hasn’t influenced my experience nor opinion of the story.

This is the second book in the Cloak of the Vampire series. It picks up right after Aileen has been sold to a new vampire faction and it's juicy, full of twists and also ends on another great cliffhanger.
Aileen goes through all the stages of grief after she ends up being sold; anger, sadness, grief, etc...trying to accept her new place, and just when she's beginning to settle in, Lord Rayne appears to turn her world upside down again.
Ragnor Rayne realizes he made a mistake once Aileen is gone. This man is the head of his own vampire group and he doesn't bow down to anyone, but he makes an exception for Aileen. There is a new side that emerges in this book and while there are still secrets to be uncovered to this very old vampire, I love what's being uncovered for the woman he can't seem to stay away from.
There is a ton of great tension in this book, it dripped off of the pages. While uncovering a deeper understanding of past events, there are also new mysteries that I'm hoping get resolved in the next book. This world just gets bigger and wider and I'm so engrossed in all of it. I'm craving all the things. I can't wait to see what happens next.
This can't be read as a standalone, please read responsibly and read each book in order.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the copy of this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Full disclosure before I start this review. I have not read book one yet so this is my review based on what I read for book two.
I was quite excited to start this book if I’m honest, the blurb instantly had me hooked and the fact that this had Vampires in the mix made me want to read this book even more. I would say this book had everything I wanted in a book including immersive descriptions that made me want to keep reading. This was a captivating book that instantly drew my attention from the first page. I quite enjoyed how Aileen’s backstory was weaved into the story as well.
I’d rate this book a five out of five. It was a really good book.
