Such a great read! Highly recommend this one.

Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Recklessly Love was well written and I love the idea of the Christmas book. I felt very disconnected to the characters with this one, it could have been as I have not read any else of the Alpine Ridge. The spicy scenes were really good and I thought were the best part of the book. I was a bit confused when the plot point of the town just came in, thought it could have been brought up differently. I would pick this up again after reading the other books. It is a good Christmas book though. I do like the words uterus unicorn though.

An interesting read since there are other story lines besides the romance. I liked how Joanie was a sassy and kick ass (literally) FMC. I also liked how she owned her sexual appetite and was not shy about it. However, I did find the sexy times got a bit repetitive. Greg was a sexy cinnamon roll. He was so patient with Joanie as she tried to navigate the vulnerabilities of falling in love. I was curious that there was not more discussion about his wealth when that was revealed. The small town shenanigans were fun to follow although not so much the abusive cousin.

This was my first novel by Melanie Smith and it was fun! I loved the comedy and sass that was Joanie. I loved that she was brave and zany in going after the man she wanted! Alpine Ridge may be cold and snowy but this novel was steamy! Joanie and Greg were great!

I loved that this was a hallmark feel novel only after dark! This was a great small town romance set in a mountain town. It captivated the holiday season and winter well!

I am so thankful for having had a chance to have been able to read an ARC of this thanks to NetGalley and the author!

I want to start by thanking the author and publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. Very quick read. Not necessarily because I was in love with the story, but because it was just a simple read.
