Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc!!
What a good book! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I loved the main characters! They had great chemistry and worked so well together. I loved how the book just flowed. My first by this author but will not be my last!!!
Thankful for the early copy but I won't be reading or providing feedback for this book due to the author's actions.
This was a cute friends-to-lovers sapphic romance and the plot had a lot of potential. I liked the setting and the fact that both FMCs are archeologists. The adventure aspect was so fun and I loved the beginning. The book did get slower and there was misrepresentation of the indigenous sayings and aspects that could have made this book a very good read.
yeah, I shan't be reading this or anything else by this author. I'm glad they aren't publishing this
I will no longer read or give feedback on IF I DIG YOU due to the recent allegations against Colby Wilkens.
Based on the recent controversy concerning the author, I will no longer be reading or providing feedback for this title. Sorry!
I will no longer be reading this book due to the author lying about being Native American and co-opting their culture, identity, and heritage.
Can't do this any more, DNF at 20%. Huge infodumps about Native American history, the gap between the two MCs is because nobody has said anything for 14 years, surprise bad guys, treasure hunt, and why hasn't Isa found one hot woman at the university in all that time?
I will not be offering a review of this book in light of the allegations recently come to light and announcement that it's publication is being pulled.
Will not be reading this book allegations that have come out about the author. I will not be reviewing or supporting work put out by someone who lied and co-opted an identity that was not hers. Especially when multiple people now have come forward and told us how much of a bully she was to POC authors that she saw as “competition”.
In light of the allegations around the author’s native identity and their statement that it is being pulled from publication, I will not be reviewing this title.
I thought this book sounded great hence requesting but I can't support a white author who is impersonating Native Americans and claiming to be a part of two tribes when she has nothing to do with either.
This book has been pulled from publication and as such I will not be reviewing it and will instead seek out books by Indigenous authors.
In light of the Tribal Alliance Against Fraud's statement on Colby Wilkens, her own response, and the announcement that this book will be pulled from publication, this is the only feedback I can morally and ethically give.
Due to the issues surrounding the author misrepresenting her (lack of) Native identity, and considering this book is being pulled from publication, I will not be reviewing or sharing this book.
I will no longer be reading this book due to the author lying about being Native American and co-opting their culture, identity, and heritage.
I will not be giving feedback for this book since it is being pulled from publication and because of the allegations around the author's heritage.
Due to the current allegations and the fact this book is being pulled from publication, I will not be reviewing this book or sharing on social media.
In light of the author lying about their heritage (and now this book is being pulled from publication?), I will not be reviewing.
That cover was so good though, so I’m disappointed on that if nothing else.
Due to the recent information that this book is being pulled from publication after information was brought to light about the author in regard to their claimed indigenous heritage, I will not be reviewing it.
