Drew Hanlen’s Stop Bullshitting Yourself is a no-nonsense guide to getting out of your own way and achieving success. Known for coaching elite athletes, Hanlen brings the same tough-love approach to self-improvement, cutting through excuses and pushing for accountability.
The book is packed with practical advice, motivational insights, and actionable steps. Hanlen emphasizes that progress comes from discipline, mindset shifts, and consistent effort—not waiting for the "right time" or blaming external factors. His direct style might not be for everyone, but if you respond well to straight talk and hard truths, this book will give you the push you need.
It’s a solid read for those who want to take ownership of their goals and make real changes, especially if you appreciate an approach that’s more coach than cheerleader.

This was an excellent book. Anyone who wants to take a good, seirously look at themselves to make themselves better should read this book.

I truly love self-help books! This book might have hit me where I needed about ten years ago. Maybe as a sign that I’m in a healthier place in life, it didn’t do anything for me today. It felt like your typical self-help book trying to be catchy with a swear word in the title. But, this book might be great for the right person! Especially if you know a young adult male who likes basketball, this could be the perfect gift.
