I absolutely adored this book. It is everything I look for in a board book in more. The illustrations are rich and bright and gorgeously done. The text itself is sweet and warm and really highlights the beauty of the mother-child bond wonderfully. Bilingual/multilingual books are such a valuable resource, and I seek them out wherever and whenever I can. This book is so clearly made with love and celebrates cultural diversity in such a natural way. I'm very impressed by this title and would absolutely recommend it to readers and librarians alike.

I like that the Spanish comes first in this book. The English is an offshoot like it’s just there for those who can’t read the other. The illustrator does a fantastic job, including images such as breast-feeding that are normally considered taboo in picture books. Overall, this is a fine book and it’s a nice dual language book for any library collection.

This cute board book celebrates the bond between babies and their mothers. The illustrations depict a variety of different Hispanic women and their babies, and the text is bilingual in Spanish and English. This is really sweet, and would make a great baby shower present.

In this bilingual story, a babies express their love for their mothers, appreciating that mama feeds them, reads to them, and more. The text is set on each spread in Spanish and English, with a pastel shaded cartoonish illustration. The mothers represent different races and ethnicities, at times wearing clothing from distinctive cultures. A simple but effective board book depicting inclusivity.

I love reading bilingual books to my kiddos. Definitely one to add to their library! My kiddos are nonverbal, so we always try to read as much as possible!

This book is so, so adorable! It is also perfect for families that are bilingual, as the entire book is in both English and Spanish. Another thing that I appreciated about this book was the diversity. Each page had a different mom and baby(ies), which made this book feel and look fresh throughout. Another thing I want to note is this book is utterly perfect for mothers to read with their babies. This is due to both the topic and the writing style. Sentences were short and simple, which promotes learning/understanding in babies and allows for quality reading time with family. Lastly, the illustrations were beautifully done. They were mostly literal, but also poetic in a way, which made this book very magnificent all around, with both these illustrations and the writing working together to make up this great book.
Bravo!

Bebé Ama a Mamá / Baby Loves Mom discusses all the ways that moms love their babies, described in both Spanish and English. It is short and sweet and a great way to celebrate being bilingual or to introduce Spanish. I loved that the illustrations showed people in different environments doing different things. The page count lends itself well to being a good bedtime book for younger kids.
