I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I found the formatting terrible and made it really difficult for me to read but I’m not sure if that’s just because I had a digital ARC copy and that could have been addressed before publication. I did like the smart moves bit provided at the end of each chapter, as it's a good way to look at applying the bits in the chapter and decide if it was for me or not. Also the appendix showing the careers that rely on referrals the most was quite interesting.
Magnetic Allure is a wonderful book for anyone who wishes to expand their networks to others who can bring you business. It's who you know that this book can teach you to do. Read this and reap.
A book that promises to help you make meaningful connections? That's a tall order, but this book does deliver. It felt like Malia was speaking to me. It had practicality. It had new ideas (and reminders of solid older ideas). There was a ton of good. I took notes and didn't feel like my time was wasted. I can't wait to put things into practice! 3.9, rounded.
