Overall I enjoyed this book a lot. I got in with the expectation that this will be a rather cozy read but it wasn't to a hundred percent but I'm not mad at it! You have your witch FMC and vampire MMC with a kind of insta love situation. The banter is funny and so much fun to read. And besides the romance there's a lot going on in the lives of both of them, which makes this a rather fast paced amazing read.

Hate Hex is a short and sweet paranormal romance following Trixie Gardens and Dominic Kent. Trixie is a witch who has repressed her magic for most of her adult life after her mother traumatized her by forcing her to use her magic to help her mother accomplish wicked things. Trixie works as a taxi driver in a paranormal part of New York to make ends meet. Dominic Kent is a vampire who has about 270 years on Trixie. Dominic is an incredibly wealthy man who is currently selling the apartment complex where Trixie lives. Instahate quickly grows to instalove for the witch and vampire - the two playfully hexing one another and making up.
There’s a lot going on in such a short amount of time — a paranormal political election in which Trixie and Dom have both been nominated, mysterious murders as a result of Dominic’s brother Sebastian wanting revenge, and a blossoming relationship between our main characters as they grow from enemies to fated mates.
I highly recommend this cozy read for supernatural book lovers looking for a quick read on an autumn afternoon - you could easily read this book in one sitting if you had the time.
Thank you so much to LaManna Books and NetGalley for the ARC - I’m sure I’ll read more from Gina LaManna in the future; this was a fun read for sure.

Thank you so much @netgalley @victoryeditingngc and @ginalamanna for my copy of Hate Hex!
What a fun little witchy romcom to kick off the start of spooky season. (Even though all year round is spooky season in my household).
I loved the communication in this story, and Dominic was a swooooony vampire MMC 🧛🏻who I will now be obsessing over for the foreseeable future. Trixie was a stubborn little bugger, but as I read on, I realized she was internalizing her magic due to her life trauma. Then I just felt bad and wanted to give her a big old witchy hug.
Hate Hex will be out and ready to read by YOU on September 1! In this book you’ll find:
🧛🏻vampire MMC
🔮witch FMC
🧛🏻touch her and… get hurt? lol
🔮funny banter
🧛🏻suspenseful ending
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley, Gina LaManna and Victory Editing for this ARC.
Trixie Gardens is no ordinary witch but she has had repressed her powers for many years and now are threatening to explode. When she meets the handsome vampire who is selling the only home she has known, she unknowingly starts a Hex game with him which leads her to eventually see exactly how she feels about him.
This was a nice, cozy paranormal romance. I liked her friendship with her roommate, her interactions with Gran and I enjoyed the pink witch/elf/fairy. There were things when there were wrong words out in like "crumble" instead of "crumple". Overall, an enjoyable read and just what I wanted.
Thank you to NetGalley and LaManna Books for the ARC
Looking for the perfect romance book for spooky season? Look no further! This was such an entertaining witchy rom-com. It has vampires, witches, grumpy x sunshine and enemies-to-lovers. Honestly, what more could you wish for?
A HUGE thank you to the author, Gina LaManna, and the publisher, LaManna Books, for giving me the chance to read an ARC of this wonderful book and provide my honest opinion about it.
Spooky, witchy, deadly.
The definition of 'the thin line between love and hate'.
For the first time reading a paranormal romance (sorry Twilight), it was a blast!
Netgalley ARC: 3/5. This has all of the tropes I love. Felt rushed at times, especially the fated mates love and plot points leading up to Sebastian’s plan. If you are looking any of these tropes, I definitely recommend giving this a read when it hits shelves!
🧛🏻Vampire& Witch couple
🩸Grumpy billionaire MC
✨Fated mates fast paced love
🪴Relatable FMC w/ hints of trauma, complicated family
Quotes:
“She was a ray of sunlight in a dark room, and if I let her in, I was pretty she she could brighten even my black heart”🖤
“When a paranormal meets their person, its a relationship thats been in the making for ages” 🥰
“Don’t let your past stop you from being happy in the future” 🧙♀️
I really enjoyed this book. Dominic and Trixie were both very well written and likeable characters. MS LaManna has created an interesting parallel world were magic and others live side by side. Trixie is a witch, who due to a very poor childhood had been denying her magic for a very long time and Dom is a vampire who has been focused on finding his deranged brother for a very long time. Them suddenly their worlds collide and their strange courtship begins.
Loved this book and would recommend it to anyone.
To say I liked this would be the understatement of the year - I absolutely LOVED it. Gina LaManna is still my favorite author and this book just confirms it. I've read everything she's ever written and loved all of them. I loved the enemies to lovers start between Trixie and Dom and their back and forth witty banter. Can't wait for more books in this new series.

Hate Hex is a quick & fun paranormal romance perfect for getting you into the spooky season mood. I enjoyed the hate to love romance between the witch Trixie & the vampire Dom, and all of their banter and hexing pranks. Since it’s on the shorter side, the romance happens a bit quickly, but the author at least provides a reasonable explanation for it.
There are a couple major plots going on - a political election in which Trixie and Dom are both (unwilling) candidates, as well as the threat of Dom’s unhinged brother Sebastian. I feel like these could have been focused on more rather than randomly becoming an issue every so often. Overall the resolutions were just okay, but I still thought it was a cute read and I enjoyed the romance.
Thank you to LaManna books for the ARC!
This book was great! I could not put it down! The story was very well written and the plot line was great!
This is a cute, cozy witch/vampire romance. I enjoyed this quick read about Trixie, a witch repressing her powers, and Dom, a rich, powerful vampire who owns the building in which they live in a magical NYC neighborhood.
I enjoyed the magical world building and the enemies-to-lovers vibe. Mostly, I want to live with Grandma Betty and be baked on her Happy Hexes.
I was given an ARC by #netgalley and #ginalamanna in exchange for a review. All thoughts are mine alone.

If you’re a fan of paranormal romance, enemies to lovers, and MMCs who give off the “touch her and die” vibe, then this book is for you. The world building is simple, the storyline is engaging and fun, and the book was truly enjoyable. It was a quick read and definitely something I’d recommend to others. BTW, this is a fade to black romance so don’t expect any raunchy scenes. 🙃
I really enjoyed this book! I am a big fan of paranormal romance and have never read a book by this author, but will read more of her work! Will recommend this book to anyone!
A cute book, good for spooky season reading. The plot was a bit overly complicated, but I still really enjoyed this book.
Entertaining, addictive, snarky, and magical in more ways than one! Snarky witch and brooding vampire with an interesting cast, multiple subplots, a bit of action and intrigue, and yep lots of simmer and heat (FTB, for those who want spice, but you won't miss it with this story). I might just read it again, now!
a vampire and uber driver, its very different but it was really enjoyable. this is such a cute paranormal romance about trixie who is an acholic uber driver, and dom who is a vampire. i love trixie roommate. had good banter.
What a fun, quick read!
Trixie Gardens is one average witch.
She is a taxi driver in the paranormal section of New York, and she has spent a lifetime repressing her magic.
One night, she meets a grumpy, vampire in a dark alley, and she accidentally activates her powers. It turns out the vampire is none other than Dominic Kent—the rough-around-the-edges billionaire who owns Trixie’s apartment building.
When she discovers Dominic is trying to kick her out of the only place she’s ever called home (and did she mention rent-controlled?), it’s hate at first sight.
Trixie puts a teeny, tiny hex on her new nemesis, Dom retaliates in a big way. (Hello enemies to lovers trope?!)
I absolutely loved this story—it was so much fun!
The grumpy-sunshine trope was spot on, with Trixie the quirky witch and Dominic the brooding vampire billionaire creating chemistry.
Their banter kept me laughing and turning pages.
Thank you NetGalley and Gina LaManna for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I read this book during my camp, so I got slower through it than usual. I think that was the best way to read this book, because it is very fast paced.
Trixie feels like a very real person. Her story was so sad, I really felt for her.
Dom was the definition of a simp. Literally. But he was a cutie, so it's okay.
The story was really entertaining, with the whole political side. Normally, I don't really like politics, but now it wasn't really in the spotlight, which made it more fun for me to read.

A witchy paranormal romance with whitty banter and a meddling grandma.
I loved this book. It was a quick read as the angst and tension with cute pining had me fuelled to finish in a day.
Dom was so protective and cute for Trixie, even with his grumpy, brooding personality (umm swoon). I was giggling when he got hexed 🤣 Like, at least Trixie can agree that an overly smily man is just creepy haha.
Trixie is clumsy and shy witch who is also a slightly pessimistic ray of sunshine.... who has a grandma who is all to happy to help hex her grumpy boyfr-- vampire.
Definitely recommend for anyone who loves a cute, funny, clumsy, enemies to lovers, paranormal romance (in the cosy feel-good sense).
