I loved this book. While it started slow, I was never bored and I was constantly waiting to see what would happen next.

When Elizabeth and Jack fall in love during a summer spent at a Tennessee lake, you might expect a happily ever after to start right away. Sometimes, happily ever after can take more than a decade to happen. Will Elizabeth be ready to settle down and will Jack still be waiting?

What a beautiful story of second chances. The end made me weep. Ellie and Jack were destined to be and this story weaved those nuances beautifully.

Such a sweet story that I feel could be a book that gives you all the feels.

Jack and Ellie met over a summer break at the ages of 18 and 19 and quickly fell in love making plans for a future together but as soon as they’d found love they were torn apart. What starts out like many books makes you root for them to reunite.

This was my first Buck Turner novel and I thoroughly enjoyed his story. This is a bit of a departure from the books I usually read and I’m so glad I took a chance on this one. It’s a sweet romance, well written and has totally pulled on my heartstrings. I just loved this and I think both Jack and Ellie will stay with me for some time.

“You don’t find love. It finds you. It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate and what’s written in the stars.” Anais Nin.

Thank you #NEtGalley for the ARC.

In 1962, Dr. Elizabeth “Ellie” Spencer unexpectedly receives a novel from her first love, Jack, retelling their whirlwind summer romance from twelve years ago. As she dives into the story, she’s pulled back into their past, but one hidden detail changes everything. Determined to get to the bottom of it, Ellie heads back to where it all began, searching for the truth.

I was completely captivated by this book! It kept me hooked from beginning to end. This was my first time reading Buck Turner, but it definitely won’t be my last. The characters were so well-developed, and I found myself rooting for them the whole way through. While a few parts were predictable, the storytelling was so good that I didn’t mind—I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.

A really sweet, heartwarming story about first love, responsibility, love lost, and love found. From rural Tennessee to a university in Indiana, the story spans decades and reminds us that, without life may have different plans than ours, we can find our happiness.

Wow, such a beautifully written, poetic read. I truly believe I just stumbled upon a rare gem. This book is about love and second chances. The cover is what intrigued me initially. It’s so beautiful, yet the story inside is just as beautiful as well. Absolutely loved this.

Jack and Ellie were made for each other, no matter what life throws at them. This book is a sweet and reliable romance. Not much happened in this book that was out of the “norm,” but I think that is a part of the appeal. It’s an easy ready, though a little predictable at times. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to check out more from Buck Turner! Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for an arc copy of this book.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC publication for an honest review.

Young love, different stations in life, declarations of forever...then something sets them off course. There is a second chance romance years later and kind of a "happily ever after" but while the "bones" were there, I was hoping for a little more "meat." Overall, I enjoyed Jack and Ellie's story even though I questioned some of their choices.

The Keeper of Stars by Buck Turner was so fantastically good!! If you like closed door, small town, he falls first, dual timeline, second chance romance then you will love this book!!

This story was so well written and so very sweet. The characters were so well written. This story not only captured my attention from the beginning but it also captured my heart by the end. Ellie never gave up on her dreams for being an astronomy teacher while never wanting to give up her love for Jack. Jack loved Ellie unconditionally. He made something of himself went to the military and wrote a book. The author takes through a love story that though it wasn’t perfect their lifetime. Read this book it will capture your heart. Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for letting me the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

"A beautifully written second-chance, first love romance with relatable characters that make it impossible to put down."

"The Keeper of the Stars" follows the lives of Jack Bennett and Ellie Spencer, who share an unforgettable summer that forever changes them. Their instant connection blossoms into love, but fate pulls them apart, leaving both struggling to move beyond their first love. Years later, Ellie receives a surprise package—Jack's novel about their summer together. The story beautifully explores the power of first love, the passage of time, and the hope that sometimes the heart's greatest story is far from over. The Keeper of Stars is a vivid journey through their obstacles, relationships, career goals, and personal growth.

I enjoyed this book so much! It reminded me of a Nicholas Sparks novel. Jack and Ellie's story is sweet, filled with trials as they navigate life and their feelings for each other. I highly recommend "The Keeper of the Stars". I also want to thank @pageandvine and Buck Turner for the Advance Reader Copy.

This book was the lifelong journey of Jack and Ellie. While it took a bit to get to the pacing their story was engrossing and so sweet. The love of home, the stretching of love through time and circumstance, the give and take of relationships and the joy of nature are all explored and celebrated throughout. The descriptions of the locations made me want to go exploring in the town and waterways that the characters explore.

I really enjoyed the writing style with this one, the author not only knows how to tell a great story, but they also know how to keep you turning the pages. The two main characters were well written and believable. The setting was fantastic with the water, boat, and southern vibe. While a tad bit predictable it was engaging and overall enjoyable.

The Keeper of Stars
Buck Turner, author this touching

Brilliant, timeless and memorable...

Jack Bennett, a young teenager living in Tennessee has seen much loss in the early years of his life. The loss of his brother and father seems to have strengthen the bond between him and his mother. Similarly has his very humble existence. Jack has had to work hard for everything.

Enter in Elizabeth (Ellie) Spencer and everything seems to change. All the values his parents have taught him are put to the test. Ellie is from a different class of society, in respect to financial nuances. But, the two fall in love during the summer months they spend together. Then all seems lost, as their relationship crumbles and each find their paths on a different track.

Twelve years after their breakup, Ellie returns to the small community of Sims Chapel for her aunts funeral and the two reconnect. In lies secrets that contributed to their separation twelve years earlier. Additionally, both have become successful adults as far as their dreams for themselves as young teenagers. Will this be their time to finally come together as a couple?

This critically acclaimed novel touches on so many areas in life. Jack and Ellie experience many firsts together in love and ambition; to the art of forgiveness and the knowledge of power. Hence, when two people allow one another to be their own person, this becomes evident in the nuance of life.

As the author suggests in the novel, was it destiny or was it fate that Jack and Ellie reconnect? Each of us needs to determine that belief for ourselves, as Jack did for himself. It is said that Mockingbirds mate for life and are very symbolic of adaptation, semblance and communicating with others

I am honored to have been given the opportunity to read the novel. Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advance reading copy, of the book, in exchange for a review. The opinions are my own. I highly recommend this touching novel to everyone.

The Keeper of Stars, by Buck Turner, is a beautifully written love story. It reminds me of some of Nicholas Sparks' earlier novels. Endearing and thought-provoking with a side of awwww. You'll not want to put this one down.

3.5 stars, rounded up.

Jack and Ellie meet in 1950 and fall in love over the course of the summer. Their story isn’t plain-sailing and they soon find themselves in trouble. When they meet again in 1962, they try to navigate their relationship once more with some big decisions to make.

This was a quick read and quite enjoyable. Very ‘The Notebook’ as many others have mentioned, but it was still pleasant and easygoing.

Thank you to NetGalley for the e-arc.

This was a beautiful read that just did everything right. It is the story of Jack and Ellie and how their love story came to be.
There was a lot going on throughout the story that did give The Notebook vibes quite a bit. With that being said, it was a fun read and kept me going between smiling and crying.
Bravo, Buck Turner!
