Thank you so much for Net Galley & Hachette for giving me the opportunity to read this as an arc for my honest opinions. I didn’t give a very high reading to the first but was willing to try again. Here are my thoughts.

To start off with, I enjoyed this more than I did the first. Awkwardly, I have read this out of order and skipped the second book but I don’t think this ruined the experience of reading this book once as it’s not a continuation and more a stand alone in the real world- and I obviously had the context of the second to understand the family and friend dynamics that was mentioned in this book.

First, this book made me dislike the main character from the first even more than her own book- I found her so inconsiderate of Teddy’s feelings and there is nothing I hate more than the friends who disappear once they are in a relationship. In my opinion it’s all about balance and she just felt so icky in this book. I felt so bad for Teddy, she definitely deserved better.

I enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect of this book as it is one of my favourite tropes. I think this also contributed to me enjoying this book more than the first. The forced proximity was great since it also meant she was getting closer to his daughter who is ultimately a huge part of his life and built on the relationship Teddy already had as her aunties best friend. I found it very sweet. Ultimately once the initial hate was passed over it was a very sweet and soft book. Unfortunately I am writing this review a month or so after reading so my initial thoughts aren’t as present but I would say this book is within the didn’t absolutely adore, but didn’t absolutely hate in between. It was nice, but there isn’t much to it that I vividly remember and it didn’t hit me as good as other romance novels have in the past. It did however did a great job at making me interested to continue the series! Which the first book did not do well for me in my opinion.

Overall, I would recommend for anyone who wants a single baby daddy cowboy read, it was enjoyable but not substantial.

Absolutely devoured this next instalment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series!!! Lyla Sage is a brilliant writer, and is only getting better with each book she writes.

We all knew Teddy and Gus were going to get a book, and Sage didn’t let us down. Their banter was unmatched, their chemistry was delicious and their story was just delightful. The grumpy x sunshine dynamic was so fun, and the added single-dad trope was *chefs kiss*.

I adored these two and their journey, and I can’t wait to see snippets of them in the next book!!

“I’d rather fight with Teddy than be happy with anyone else”

I do like a bit of bickering and bantering in my books so the hate/hate relationship between the two MCs was much anticipated. The best friend’s sibling trope is always a good time and returning to the ranch setting was delightful. While it was an easy and fun read, I felt it didn’t have quite the same magic as the first two.

According to my notes, chapter 29 was memorable 🥹 please let me know what you think when you get to it!

Lost & Lassoed did exactly what I predicted - it became my new favourite in the series 🙌

The tension between August and Teddy had been there since Done & Dusted, with their continual jabs, scathing looks and snappy opinions on the others character purely because they “didn’t like” each other. It of course was ramped up in L&L and I loved it!

More so however, I loved when the forced proximity led to a beautiful friendship and an even more beautiful love 🥹

Having a cute kid chucked in the mix made it even better again, with lots of lovely interactions between Teddy and Riley, and of course with Gus being in Dad mode

If you, like me, are a sucker for…
💐 Forced proximity
💐 Small town romance
💐 Single Dad
💐 Found family
💐 Banter
💐 Strong FMC
💐 Best friends brother
💐 Enemies to lovers
💐 Dirty talking MMC

Then you NEED to read Lost & Lassoed!
Especially since Wild & Wrangled releases soon too!

Wow, just wow! I’m not sure what magic Lyla Sage is working in her books, but it’s absolutely captivating. From the very first page, I’m always hooked and honestly I wish I could read this for the first time over and over again. I’ve loved every story in this series, but Lost and Lassoed is by far my favorite.

Guy and Teddy are everything I could ever want in a couple! Teddy’s fiery attitude and Gus’s grumpy charm are just chef’s kiss, and their loyalty to each other is undeniable. The chemistry between them is off-the-charts hot, and their banter had me laughing out loud.

For anyone that want's a rollercoaster of a romance, I can't recommend this MORE!

“I think you are miraculous, Teddy. I think that your existence— the way you care and fight and love and live— is a miracle.”

Lyla Sage does not miss!! Best friends brother, enemies to lovers, single dad, small town cowboy romance, it has everything I could ask for! I already knew I was going to love this book after seeing glimpses of Teddy and Gus in the first two books in the series and their dynamic was just as firey in this novel! I loved seeing more of Gus and Teddy and how passionate they are about their loved ones, they are so deserving of each other!! I also loved seeing more of Riley and how they're little family came together in the end.

This book was so heartfelt I could really feel the love of the characters and the story, Lyla really does this relationship justice! The characters all feel so real that I feel like I could travel to Rebel Blue at any point and expect to see them there. Now I have to restlessly wait for Dusty and Cam's story!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quercus for providing me with an eARC in return for an honest review.

Thank you thank you for this ARC <3

This story has it all! Tropes are listed below and every single thing was executed so well <3 I'm a sucker for a small town romance, where the whole town is a large extended family and as someone who grew up watching Gilmore Girls I *swoooooon* for that. This was so good! Romance was organic, the spice excellent.

✅ enemies to lovers
✅ small town
✅ brother's best friend
✅ close proximity
✅ emotional
✅ spicy
✅ amazing banter
✅ tension, banter and humour
✅ grumpy x sunshine
✅ cowboy romance
✅ contemporary romance
✅ single dad

Book 3 on the Rebel Ranch series featuring Gus and Teddy and I was so excited to get the eARC for this one. I knew their story was going to be amazing and this book did not disappoint!

Teddy the chaotic one and Gus the grumpy cowboy. The hate they think they have for each other with tension and passion simmering to the surface.

🔥Enemies to lovers
🔥Grumpy x Sunshine
🔥Small town romance

Thank you to @hachetteaus & @netgalley for the eARC.

I’ve taken some time to fully form my opinion on this one.
Some positive notes: I appreciate a good ol’ grumpy daddy. Gus is an excellent dad and I loved his relationship with each his daughter. That was very well done. I also adored the relationship between her and Teddy, too. Very wholesome. I also loved Teddy’s relationship with her dad!

I think the problem here is that this book started good. There was banter and some wit and I was excited about how Lyla would take on this enemies-to-lovers trope. Their characters and the animosity between these two had been set up so nicely in the first two books, so I thought it would be a home run. That was not the case. It’s like it started good and then just fell flat. I wanted more from these two, honestly. I wanted more animosity and angst and tension and I just did not get it. And then there’s this ‘incident’ between them that was meant to give their relationship more history and context, but it felt like it was just an added tidbit thrown in just for fun. I also felt like the pacing was slightly off. It felt like there was this slow burn where nothing was really happening and then everything happened all at once and there wasn’t much time with them actually being together. This pacing CAN work but there needs to be a stronger build up. There needs to be so much angst that you’re about to explode and scream “JUST HAVE SEX ALREADY!!” but there was none of that for me.

To be honest it just felt like this one needed another round of edits. I’m curious to re-read this and listen to it on audio because while I definitely do not expect a perfect version as an arc, i came across so many grammatical (spelling and tense specifically) errors. Maybe listening on audio will help me get out of my head and just be in the moment.

In the end, my round up thoughts are that this was fine and that’s about it. I’m super excited about the next one and I have high hopes. Thank you to NetGalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this SOOO much. I am such a sucker for a cowboy romance it's not even funny. I absolutely ate this up and left no crumbs! I looove this series with my whole heart.

This is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, and it follows Emmy’s brother Gus and her best friend Teddy. You briefly meet these characters in the first two books, and I was SO excited when I found out that book three would be their story. This is now my favourite cowboy romance in the series, I loved Teddy and Gus and their dynamic. Gus needs help looking after his daughter and it ends up being Teddy that looks after her. I loved how this story unfolded, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series. The small-town vibes and the fun characters always make this series enjoyable.

Ok, I was very nervous going into this book after some reviews/opinions I've been seeing float around on bookstagram... you know what, though? I could not put this book down. 👏🏼

I'm sure, like everyone else, I've been waiting for Gus and Teddy's book since reading Done and Dusted. The dynamic between "Geddy" was everything I wanted and more. It was so sweet seeing Gus realising his true feeling towards Teddy. She is such a wild, loud, and fun character. Her bond with Riley is something special. Her nurturing side to the people she loves really pulls at your heartstrings.

Also, can we take a moment for Teddy and Emmy's friendship. Genuinely the perfect example of true friendship. 🥹

If you've been worried about jumping back into the Meadowlark world because of any reviews you've seen, this is your sign to ignore them and just dive back in, because they arent the same in my opinion and I really enjoyed this one. Gus and Teddy gave me all the feels, and I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do. 🫶🏼

Ok I loved it! I love the way this author writes, it’s so addictive. I couldn’t put this one down!

Teddy and Gus. So much animosity for each other through the other books and the beginning of this one! I love how it changes and you find out why. They were beautiful together and I loved their banter, but also how they softened one another.

I was hooked from start to finish! Such a great read! And I’m so dang excited for the next one!

Lyla sage is truly something else.
Her writing just speaks absolute volumes to me.
Her mental health rep is impeccable and so very much appreciated, being a neuro spicy girlie.

Teddy is amazing. I adore her.
Gus is such a sweetie grump.
Grumpy x sunshine and forced proximity are my faves, and this didn’t disappoint!

And the cliffhanger! Woof.
Bring on cams story ASAP please!

I enjoyed this. I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed or think it’s anything new that we haven’t read before.

There were some things I liked and some things I questioned but for the most part this was just a really easy quick read and I think that’s one of the reasons why I keep going back to this series and why I enjoy reading them.

They’re easy, and fun on a surface level. If you’re looking for a book to get you out of a slump this series is definitely for you 🥰

- cowboy romance
- enemies to lovers
- age gap
- single dad
- best friends brother

I have been so excited about this book since we met Gus and Teddy in Done & Dusted.
I was not disappointed. I love me a grumpy x sunshine, loathe to love kind of trope. Especially when it's tied up in a single dad & nanny with a slight age gap little bow.

We have seen these characters throughout the series, so we know a bit about each of them, but this book delves into them both as individuals and as a blossoming couple.
Teddy has just lost her job, she is looking after her father, and although she is happy her best friend has found love, she feels somewhat left behind and a little out of place. Things are changing and she has no control over it.

Gus is looking after his daughter for the summer all the while still running the ranch and trying to take care of everyone, and he has no time to take care of himself.

In comes Teddy, reluctantly to help him take care of his daughter, the catch, she stays in his house.
The proximity and the ability to actually know and see the person they are without others watching allows them to truly feel seen and accepted, even if its with the last person they thought.

I loved this book and I am so happy we got Geddy, I'm also so pumped for the next - and last- installment.

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶🌶/5

This book had everything I was needing for this moment in time, and I was obsessed!

✨️ Grumpy cowboy
✨️ Single dad
✨️ Sassy sunshine
✨️ Adorable child
✨️ Best friends brother
✨️ Banter and sarcasm
✨️ I hate you (no you don’t)
✨️ Tension
✨️ Meddling family

I gobbled this up and loved every second of it, for sure a dopamine hit while I was reading. Gus and Teddy were extraordinary together and their opposite-ness blended perfectly in the beginning for the sass and the banter. Riley was the most adorable little human and the perfect balance for Gus and Teddy as they tried to co-exist around her.

Lyla Sage knows how to do effective adult communication and do it well and I appreciate it so much. There was no bs and avoiding conversations here and I was loving it. Not gonna lie, this hit me in my feels a lot. I related a lot to Teddy and her struggles, and I didn’t think that I was going to get as emotional as it did. But I felt my feelings and it made the whole reading experience better.

Thank you so much @hachetteaus for the ARC!!

I don’t know how to sum up this book beyond saying it was amazing!!! I have loved all the books in the series but this book topped the cake for me and is my favourite. If you haven’t read any of the series, you absolutely need to.
