My favourite of the series so far!

At a glance:
▪️Small town (cowboy) romance
▪️Single Dad MMC
▪️Dislike to love
▪️Forced proximity
▪️Grumpy / sunshine dynamic
▪️Dual POV
▪️Past couple cameos
▪️On page spice

My thoughts:
📍The best book in the series all because of Gus and Teddy! I absolutely loved their push and pull banter and grumpy / sunshine dynamic. The characters carry this book, outside of them the book is fun but a run-of-the-mill romance novel.

📍I thought the pacing of the romance was well done. Unlike the previous books, there was certainly no insta love and I thoroughly enjoyed the build up. My one criticism is that I found the dialogue during the spicy scenes to be a bit cringey.

📍The kid in this book was cute as crap and I loved the bond she had with FMC Teddy. It was nice that Teddy brought her own strengths to parenting Riley.

📍The next book in the series is set up nicely in this book! I look forward to reading Dusty and Cam’s story.

📍This book is reminiscent of Elsie Silver’s popular book, Heartless. I’m not accusing the author of anything however I did observe similarities between these two books that felt a little too close.

THIS BOOK. Big 5 stars from me!

If Heartless & Wild Love by Elsie Silver had a baby, Lost & Lassoed would be the result!

In my opinion, Lost and Lassoed stayed with me after reading it, much more than the aforementioned.

Lyla has the incredible ability to engage and captivate her readers through keeping things simple, digestible and straight to the point. I never felt as though the plot was getting lost to the dialogue like so many other contemporary romances do (IMO), and her characters are intriguing and each have their own edge that allow you to feel connected to them all simultaneously.

Teddy is headstrong and quite honestly gives off HUGE Leo rising vibes, and Gus is detached yet responsible, and feels DEEPLY as a result of his detachment. (Honestly, Aquarius sun & rising vibes)

Its truly no wonder him and Teddy make such a great match, but got under each others skin to begin with - their natural affinity triggered the deeper parts of one another that hadn't yet been addressed on a surface level.

This is why we see them both really find their arrangement to work, and feel "right". Because it IS right. Through each others presence and traits, they are both able to release their coping mechanisms that no longer serve them, and can instead begin to embrace their true selves. Each of them loves, admires and nurtures that which the other has spent so long ignoring or hiding.

I love how empowering and liberating this book is. The perfect love story. I am so grateful to have been given this book as an ARC, and I cannot wait for it's release so everyone else can experience the beautiful and warmhearted story that is, Lost & Lassoed.

Oh this book 🥹 Teddy and Gus were everything I hoped they would be. I’m so impressed with how Lyla has been able to write this interconnected series, including all our favourite characters however never taking away from our main stars of the book .

The verbal ping pong between Teddy and Gus had me rolling, who doesn’t love an enemies to lovers/ best friends brother trope!?

Probably my fav in the series even though Luke Brookes will forever be my main man. As for the spice, it may have only been a couple chapters but oh boy the spice was spicing in this one!

Ahhhh!! I love this book, SO much, honestly give me all the Gus and Teddy stories. This was my favourite book of the series. I love that it explored deeper than just a relationship but looked more into Teddy personally, her family and Gus and his need to please everyone. It was such an incredible story, the writing style is perfect and I just could not put this one down. So many emotions throughout this book. But honestly, the enemies to lovers trope never fails to put me in a chokehold. I absolutely loved this one and I cannot wait for the 4th book!!!

Wanting used to scare me so much, because I didn’t think I had the space to want anything more than what I’ve got. But wanting a future with you is the easiest thing in the world. And I want it all, with you.

Teddy Anderson thought she had it all worked out. But then the clothes boutique she loves working in is closing, her sewing machine died so she can't even fix the rip in her favourite jacket, and everyone around her seems to be moving on with their lives, leaving her behind.

Gus Ryder can't stand Teddy Anderson. She's too loud, too irresponsible and just too damn annoying. Unfortunately she's also his little sister's best friend so she's also unavoidable. Add that to the fact that he is trying to raise his daughter the best he can all while running Rebel Blue, and slowly the house of cards he has precariously built is starting to fall down around his ears.
Gus needs help. But he didn't expect it to be in the form of Teddy.

This is the story I've been waiting for since the tension between Teddy and Gus landed on the pages of Done and Dusted.

TROPES
- Single dad/nanny (kind of)
- Enemies to lovers
- Grumpy/Sunshine

MICROTROPES
- Moustache rides
- Best friend dynamics subplot
- Flower fossicking

I was so excited to be supplied this ARC by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book was definitely my favourite from the series, Teddy and Gus were well worth the wait.

I felt like Lyla did the enemies-to-lovers trope really well and it felt like their friendship and understanding of each other grew really naturally and didn't feel rushed at all.

I'm not usually a fan of children being featured heavily in book sbut Riley is a delight and really helps to show the caring nature of both Teddy and Gus.

Teddy is living her Brat Girl Summer, and it's so much fun to read.

Bring on Wild and Wrangled!

To say I was excited when I received approval for the Lost and Lassoed ARC is an understatement. I have been waiting for Teddy and Gus's story since I first read their chemistry in Done and Dusted - and this book certainly delivered!

Teddy and Gus share a slow burn, enemies to lovers relationship which Lyla Sage delivers flawlessly. The angst, tension, banter and heat between these two characters is so well done, their chemistry is undeniable.
I enjoyed watching them realise their feelings of animosity may actually be attraction, and once they open the lid on their feelings- there's no going back!

Aside from the central romance plot, there is themes of found family, co-parenting and unconditional love in all its forms.
There is great character development, and progression not just in this book, but through the series.

I can mot wait to read the final instalment in the Rebel Blue series next year - although I will be sad it's over!

Thanks NetGalley and Hachette Australia and New Zealand for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I was so excited to receive the ARC of Lyla Sage's new Rebel Blue Ranch installment, 'Lost and Lassoed', and boy did it deliver!

I have been eagerly awaiting Teddy and Gus' story since they were introduced in 'Done and Dusted' - and Sage executed their slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance flawlessly. 'Lost and Lassoed' is rich with angsty interactions, witty and heated banter, and undeniable chemistry between Gus and Teddy.

The book commences with Gus under significant stress, juggling the demands of co-parenting and managing a large Wyoming cattle ranch. Whilst Teddy is at a loose end, facing a recent upheaval in her life, and in need of a job. The solution comes when Teddy agrees to nanny Gus's daughter, Riley, for the summer. Through their increased proximity, Teddy and Gus discover they share more common ground than they initially realised and they begin to suspect that feelings of anomosity might actually be feelings of attraction!

Beyond the central romance narrative, 'Lost and Lassoed' celebrates families in all forms. It pays tribute to great dad's with the characters of Amos, Hank and Gus - each parenting differently but doing their best. Additionally, the novel also takes the opportunity to highlight a positive example of co-parenting with Gus and Cam's relationship - their respect for one another, friendship and absolute adoration of their daughter.

Lyla Sage, this is how you deliver a good romance, and my only criticism of this book is that it ended far to quickly! I wanted more of Teddy, Gus and Riley. I am already eagerly awaiting the next installment of Rebel Blue Ranch!

Thanks NetGalley and Hachette Australia and New Zealand for the ARC in exchange for this review!

Lyla Sage's books have been on my TBR since I first saw the cover art on "Done and Dusted." I was so excited to read "Lost and Lassoed" and after finishing it, I immediately wanted to go back in time to tell past me to read the beginning of the Rebel Blue Ranch series.

All the promised tropes were well executed with great pacing. I also enjoyed the dual POV that gave the characters depth and motivation with a good touch of humour as well. I'm definitely going to enter my cowboy Romance era and read the rest of the series now.

Thank you to Hachette Australia and New Zealand and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Lost and Lassoed
5 stars
Oh boy, I've been waiting for Gus and Teddy's story ever since Done and Dusted, and Lyla did not disappoint! Lost And Lassoed is definitely my favorite so far.

We went from enemies to lovers in the best possible way, from the snarky hate to a slow-burn, all-at-once love.
I adored the way Teddy's and Gus's relationship was built with a sense of belonging and peacefulness with each other. There was no over-the-top drama, no big fights, just a slow blossoming love.

One of my favorite things about this book was the friendship between Emmy and Teddy, and the way the author skillfully explores the emotions associated with feeling left behind when best friends enter different phases of life.

If you enjoy quick, fun reads with hot-as-sin cowboys, hilarious one-liners, grumpy vs. sunshine MCs, banter, and a little bit of spice, then I definitely recommend this book.

3.75⭐️

If you loved Heartless by Elsie Silver, this is the perfect book for you! Lyla’s writing is always so easy to digest and sucks me in every time. Teddy and Gus were characters I have not only been rooting for since book one but I looked forward to their story and this didn’t disappoint.

I felt at times, it was very similar to other books I’ve read in the past but all in all I enjoyed this one!

It's official: "Lost and Lassoed" is my favourite instalment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series to date. Each book has only gotten better, and this latest addition exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment we were introduced to Gus and Teddy in book one, I’ve been eagerly anticipating their story, and Lyla certainly delivered! Their mutual disdain, despite sharing the same close-knit circle of friends and family, sets the stage for a perfect enemies-to-lovers romance.

Teddy is a whirlwind of chaos and impulsivity, a true creative wild child. In contrast, Gus, the oldest Ryder sibling, is the dependable one, the man in charge of running Rebel Blue Ranch. When Gus becomes overwhelmed with his responsibilities, he's forced to hire Teddy as a part-time nanny. Thrown together, they must navigate the tension and emerging feelings between them. The evolution of their relationship feels genuine and tender, yet it’s also full of witty banter and electric chemistry.

Beyond the romance, the book delves into the theme of fathers and daughters, adding additional depth, making the book even better. Teddy's relationship with her dad is heartwarming, especially given his health struggles, while Gus's interactions with his 6-year-old daughter, Riley, are equally touching.

I loved this book so much and can't wait for everyone to read Gus and Teddy's story. It was an easy 5-star read, and I cannot recommend it enough. Now, I'll begin the long wait for "Wild and Wrangled," where we'll see how things work out for Cam.

This is Book 3 of the Rebel Blue Ranch Series!

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage is a delightful and engaging installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, perfectly capturing the charm of small-town life and the complexity of enemies-to-lovers romance. Sage's adept storytelling brings to life the tumultuous yet magnetic relationship between Teddy Andersen and Gus Ryder, whose contrasting personalities create a captivating dynamic.

Teddy Andersen thrives in chaos and spontaneity, never one for rigid plans or routines. However, her life seems to be unraveling: her favorite vintage suede jacket is torn, her sewing machine is broken, and her best friend's engagement leaves her feeling increasingly out of place. As she grapples with these changes, Teddy begins to question whether her small-town existence is truly fulfilling.

Gus Ryder, on the other hand, is a paragon of dependability, tasked with managing his family's vast 8,000-acre ranch and caring for his spirited six-year-old daughter for the summer. Overwhelmed by his responsibilities, Gus reluctantly accepts that he needs help. Enter Teddy, his little sister's best friend and the woman he has always clashed with.
Forced into close proximity, Gus and Teddy must navigate their simmering tensions and burgeoning feelings. Sage's narrative skillfully explores their evolving relationship, highlighting the friction and unexpected tenderness that arise as they spend more time together. The author deftly captures their emotional struggles, making their journey from animosity to affection both believable and compelling.

"Lost and Lassoed" excels in its portrayal of small-town life, where everyone knows everyone, and personal growth is often intertwined with community ties. Teddy's journey of self-discovery and Gus's struggle to balance his responsibilities are relatable and heartfelt, resonating with readers who appreciate character-driven stories.

Fans of enemies-to-lovers romance will find much to enjoy in this novel. The palpable chemistry between Teddy and Gus, combined with Sage's witty dialogue and vivid descriptions, makes "Lost and Lassoed" a thoroughly enjoyable read. As new feelings simmer and decisions loom, readers will be eagerly turning pages to see whether Teddy and Gus can overcome their differences and embrace the love that's been brewing all along.

Lyla Sage has delivered another hit in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, leaving readers eager for the next adventure in this charming small-town setting.

4 stars. Lost and Lassoed is a swoonworthy sweet and steamy cowboy romance. I enjoyed seeing the evolution of Gus and Teddy including a little bit of history with them that we didn’t previously know. Their banter and their hot headed natures truly made this a fun little read. We get a perfect combination of some of the best tropes including forced proximity and enemies to lovers. Plus if you don’t mind a little bit of the ‘Daddy’ kink then this will be right up your alley. I did feel the first 30% was a little slow, however after this it really picked up and I flew through it. The ending is well set up for the 4th book and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

I absolutely love the Rebel Blue Ranch Series. This is the 3rd book & it did not disappoint. If you love books that include Small town romance, Forced proximity, Enemies to lovers then this book series is a must read. It is so good. I read it in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down!

Thank you to Hachette Australia, Netgalley and Lyla Sage for an ARC copy. All opinions are my own.

Lyla Sage is back with the third instalment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series and I gotta say I have been waiting for Gus and Teddy since day 1.
Gus is the perfect Grumpy Cowboy and doting Dad to his daughter Riley, matched with the Lioness herself Miss Teddy you knew that it was going to be fireworks and it was.

I loved the heart and soul of this book. I loved watching the relationship grow and find itself. I loved watching Teddy and Riley's relationship bloom (the embroidered pillow made my heart mushy).
I laughed, I cried, I sighed and I once again found myself wanting to jump onto the page and live my life on Rebel Blue Ranch.

In this book you will find:
- Cowboy Romance
- Grumpy/Sunshine
- Forced Proximity
- Enemies to Lovers
- Single Dad/Nanny
- Beautiful Ranch setting
- Small town

Thank you to Hachette, Netgalley and Lyla Sage for an ARC copy.

Lyla really delivered with this enemies to lovers, small town cowboy romance. Gus and Teddy deliver pure snark to one another, and when things turn spicy, they see nothing but one another. I loved how Gus knew that Teddy needed to shine, and that whole scene was perfection. And their snarkiness became a type of foreplay for them, and I enjoyed that that part of Gus and Teddys personalities didn’t change. I could keep writing about all the aspects of this story I enjoyed but I’d be here all day.

This book isn’t due for release for a few months, but it’ll be worth the wait. Add it to your TBR and Wishlist

Thank you to @netgalley @hachetteaus and @authorlylasage for the e-ARC of this story. Definitely my favourite of the series.
