Well, I didn't expect that. The story is very well written and the topics of loss, grief and heartbreak covered very sensitively. As in life, people deal with loss in many different ways.
I loved all the characters and their growth throughout the story and was delighted to be reunited with our favourites from the series.

"Holly Berry is finally in a place where she can see her happy ending: a beautiful daughter, who's growing ever sweeter by the day, a new home she can make her own, and – of course – her partner-in-crime, Evan.
But when tragedy strikes, Holly’s life is thrown into turmoil. And, perhaps in denial, she decides to cancel all of her Christmas plans in favour of some healing of her own."
This was a perfect Christmas read, deliciously wrapped up with love, romance, heartbreak and hope and I really enjoyed it. Holly was a character I completely loved and could relate to and as her story unfolded I was wrapped up in it with her.

I realised, as soon as i started reading, this was part of a series. I have not read any of the others! This did not detract from the book but has made me want to go back and see where it all started. A heart breaking read but also lots of warm moments.

Throughly love this series and this author too but this book broke me. It’s lovely but honestly have tissues. I went on a big walk after finishing it.

Sometimes what we need most in life is exactly what we think we don’t need. Loved following the ups and downs and everything in between in this sweet holiday story.

Hannah Lynn knows exactly how to tug at your heartstrings. This story is the seventh book in the series, but I hadn't read any of the previous ones, and that didn't matter—I still followed the story and fell in love with the characters. I will definitely be starting this series from the beginning now. The storyline flowed at a pleasant pace, and I found myself sobbing by the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing this book.

This was a hard book to read, it is a story centered around grief and what happens in the wake of a tragedy. Probably wasn’t the best time to read as I’m going through grief myself. But it made it feel real, I felt Hollys pain I was able to connect will all the characters and could envision the words coming to life. It was an easy read as far as the book itself.
This is the only one I have read in the series and everything made sense to me.

I received this book from NetGalley.
It's a bit slow going if I'm honest. Everything goes along pretty slowly and then boom, Evan dies. It came out of nowhere for me. For Holly to not tell Hope that Evan died - that was unacceptable for me. She can't just keep it in. I understand that she's also grieving, but when she says that her child mentions him...how can you not say anything?! And then she flat out lies to her child.
I'm so glad that Ben has a brain, and a heart, and gives Holly an ultimatum about telling Hope.
I noticed a few editing errors which was a little annoying.
The family poem that Holly reads is quite beautiful, very sad.
Honestly, my bad because I didn't read the blurb before so I thought this book would be sweet, and not sad. However, the name and cover suggested the same. Overall a nice book, but Holly was a bit annoying at times.

I reached for this thinking it was a festivevread to ease me into operation Christmas. How wrong I was. I've not read any of the previous books in this series but that didn't spoil the experience for me. Overall an enjoyable but heartwrenching book. Tissues needed!

Snowflakes over the Second Chances Sweet Shop (a.k.a. Snowflakes over the Cotswolds Candy Store) is book seven in the Holly Berry Sweet Shop series.
I had read one or two of the series before reading this book but having skipped a few did not spoil my enjoyment of this book at all. The storyline brings a huge change in Holly's relationship with Evan therefore bringing a serious undertone to this seemingly lighthearted story. Hannah Lynn handled this challenge sensitively and the story was both heartwarming and emotional.
Without giving away any spoilers I recommend this book wholeheartedly!

Oh my, Snowflakes Over the Second Chances Sweet Shop by Hannah Lynn was such a tearjerker for me, definitely needed the tissues, I sobbed. However, I just adored this book and could not put it down. I just was not expecting it to happen I fully thought Holly would get her happy ever after but it was not to be and tragedy strikes. This book will stay with me for a long time I just loved it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Yet another great character storyline. One that was a little bit more hard hitting than some of her others which had me dabbing my eyes a few times. Holly is finally living the life she dreamed of and was excited when Evan planned a weekend away for the two of them with some help from the sweet shop crew and Holly’s parents of course. But then tragedy sticks and Holly’s life as she knows it is shattered.
I don’t think there is a way to review this book without it becoming too spoilery so will leave it at this.

What a beautiful read this was! Hannah Lynn has a delightful way with words that had me immersed entirely in the world in which she created in my mind. Wonderful.

Wow, I certainly wasn’t expecting a read that would pack so much punch. I had an inkling this was a bit of a sadder story compared to the rest of the series, but I definitely was not prepared for this story. Hannah Lynn, you have broken my heart with this read and I cannot wait until the next (and final) book is released. I need to know that everything is going to be ok with my favourite sweet shop owner.
I did think this was going to be a Christmas book but, fear not fans, it is just full of snow, thanks to the snowy Seattle setting. Whilst it is referenced a couple of times, you don’t get full-on tinsel vibes in this book, which I think makes it a good early winter read. Especially if you have read the other books in the series (which I think is essential by now).
Holly finds herself in Seattle, getting to know Evan’s family. There are a lot of characters to place but I enjoyed how this story moves beyond the cute Cotswolds setting, offering something rather different to the narrative. Not only do we see the snow drifts in full, but also the interactions between Evan’s siblings – especially his hard-nosed triplet sister, Erin. I definitely would not want to cross paths with her!
Without giving away too much of the plot, I really sympathised with Holly and her daughter. All plans have changed for Holly and the unrest and lack of certainty completely rocks her world. Holly finds strength in her daughter and I loved seeing the close mother-daughter bond that they have.
There are also a few familiar faces in this story in the form of Ben and Giles. I was definitely expecting the latter to make an appearance and wonder what is in store for him next. Furthermore, with best friend Jamie expecting her new baby any day, I am hoping that Lynn provides a heart-warming, happy ending for Holly once and for all.
In my opinion, this series keeps getting stronger and the writer continues to surprise readers with different stories each time. I have enjoyed seeing Holly grow as a character and will feel bereft when the series is completed. A lovely series, it is one you should read in order and save this one for when you have a strong constitution!
With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

well were do you start with this book for one a box of tissues by your side as you read this short life between holly and evan it starts off so well between them a life of full fillment with their daughter hope and the sweetshop but in the flash of a moment tragedy happens in the lakes just when evan was going to propose and this now turns hollys life into turmoil a good book to read but very tearful

Snowflakes Over The Second Chances Sweet Shop by Hannah Lynn ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Part of a series and I will now go back and read the rest.
A very emotional Christmas novel . Still get the warm and fuzzy feelings that a you expect from a Christmas story but made me tear a few times.
Wondering if there will be another book in the series. I guess we all wait and see.

A sad but also lovely book in this series. Plenty of festive feelings throughout this book but at times it was a sad read. I do love these books set around a sweetshop and hope for more in the future. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc!!
This book was so cute, gave me all the warm and fuzzies!!
I will definitely be on the lookout for more by this author!

Book seven in the Holly Berry series
An emotional read but still a good read
Can’t wait for the next in this series
Thanks NetGalley

After reading all the other books in this series I was so looking forward to this chapter.
However why oh why did you have to spoil it. I will not say why you will have to read it but could we please not of had a happy ending. How much bad luck does one person have to entail.
I loved the story but it was so sad
