Firstly thank you Netgalley, Hannah Lynn and publisher for the opportunity to read this book. The settings in both UK and USA were beautiful, it was easy to read but I found it very sad. If you’re feeling a little low when reading it your going to need tissues. At the start I struggled with too many character names at once but it didn’t help that I have read no other titles in the series. It’s probably me but I couldn’t connect the storyline with the title of the book. With regards to grief it was very well written.

This book is book 2 in a series, and even though I haven't read book 1 yet, it hasn't been released. Evan decided to surprise his girlfriend Holly, and she didn't know it, but he was going to propose. When they arrived, they walked down to the beach, and there was a child out on the thin ice, and the child kept going out further. Evan went in to save him, and he didn't make it.
Holly decides to cancel Christmas and go to America, where Evan lived, and his family is there. She and her daughter, Hope, left England and arrived in America. It is emotional, the journey through the grief they have to start to go through, Life still goes on, and we see their struggles, their mistakes, their, coming together, to help each other, and the everyday things they must face. It was an emotional book, but also a book I couldn't stop reading. Even though this is a book 2, I could relate to the grieving, the process, and all they went through. I think it can be a standalone book, because the book starts with the people who are there, and tells their journey from there. It was meeting new friends for the first time, where they are in their journey.
I received an ARC from Boldwood Books through NetGalley.

A hard book , have the tissues ready . Carrying on with Hollies life journey. Didn’t connect with this book as much as I have the other ones in the series . An interesting read as we caught up with the other characters lives and the introduction of the American characters and I can see there’s going to be an interesting final book in the series but was disappointed with this book
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Hannah Lynn for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

I feel like I really needed to have read the previous installment in this series as it seemed to just jump straight in. To be honest, I didn’t really enjoy the book, there was a quite a bit of misery, which is understandable given the circumstances, but it was just miserable but also felt a little childish. I have loved other books by this author so I’ll definitely try other books by her.

hadn't read the first book in this series so it was a bit difficult to understand. It would have been good to get a brief understanding of what had happened in the first book as to who the people were. It was a good book. Holly thinks that she's in a good place with Evan when tragedy happens

Snowflakes Over the Second Chances Sweet Shop was a sweet holiday rom com. I very much enjoyed it and I think other romcom readers will as well.
