Another Kate O’Hare and Nick Fox pairing. It is both funny and entertaining and very fast-paced, as most of Janet Evanovich's novels are.
I love Janet Evanovich so much and her Steffani Plum series, so I jumped at the chance to read this new series from her, and she did not disappoint.
If you are a Fox and O'Hare fan you already know its a good book clear to the last page. Fox and O'Hare are a good team I love the humor in the book.
I have a love for most everything Evanovich so I was not disappointed even though I hadn't read the first book in this series I didn't feel lost at all. Fast paced with Evanovich humor and over the top action! A must read for any Evanovich fan!
This book is full of fun, snarky banter, suspense, and mystery. It's the perfect combination of a little bit of everything. To make it even better, the characters themselves are so well developed, you can't help but to love them.
I haven't read any Evanovich books before, but this was a nice introduction. Fun and an easy read!
Not sure if I'll keep reading them, but maybe I'll go read them all!
I'm sorry it has taken so long to review this title. I absolutely loved it and appreciate being able to have the opportunity to read it. This book was very thought provoking and I can only imagine what more happened to the characters. Thank you.
I enjoyed reading The Chase by Goldberg/Evanovich. Fox and O'Hare remind me of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum characters without quite as much quirk. She's the FBI agent, and he's the elusive con caught by her, now working for the FBI undercover. I read their adventures as fun, quirky, lighthearted and non-dramatic. I don't believe they are meant to be taken seriously, and I didn't, so the book did not disappoint. I found the book to be a fun, quick read. I'd read more of their adventures. It's kind of a combination of Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality meeting George Clooney in Ocean's 11. Entertainment, pure and simple.

Anytime that I see a book by this author, I immediately will add to by TBR list. Although this book is older, I enjoyed the plot and suspense.
I picked this up and put it down a few times before I was able to read the whole thing this time.
The premise is entertaining and the characters are fairly likeable but I found that I often felt that things had fallen a little flat. I know it probably sounds weird since problem after problem came up but it was like everything was solved too easily or too quickly?
There is a lot of amusing dialogue and there are quite a few funny moments too. I think Kate and Nick are great opposites attract characters though I don't really feel invested in their romance or really care whether or not they get together.
I will say that I think this belongs on screen. TV would probably be the best bet since there is a ton of stuff going on in the book alone and there are quite a few books in the series.
The best way I can describe this series is "White Collar" mixed with "Castle" in book form.
