These comic collections are going to find so many fans who love the shows they are based on. I was excited to see new stories in both that kept true to the characters of both.
What a cute little collection of short comics! I’m a huge fan of Turning Red, and I think any other superfan would enjoy this book just as much as I did, if not more. The comics follow Mei and her friend group on silly little adventures, as well as some features from 4*town and Mei’s parents of course! While I’m quite a bit older than the demographic of this book, it was still a fun and pleasant little read.
Thanks to NetGalley & Papercutz for the copy in exchange for an honest review.
A very sweet comic continuation (and mini-prequel with 4*Town) and all the characters felt like they walked straight ouf of the movie. Was happy to see a little bit more of the dad too. The art was very eye-poppy and stylish which worked very well. I only wish it was longer.
I can see kids really enjoy this series, as the movie has been very popular. I like how it explores characters after the events of the movie. Some of the scene pacing is a bit too fast but overall a solid graphic novel for kids!

This was so adorable! The graphics were so cute and this was a great movie tie in. This will be a great read for kids and they will love it.
This was a super cute graphic novel that supplements the movie really well. I loved the Mei is learning to tame her inner and outer red panda. The illustrations are vibrant and larger than life. I really liked the debate between 5 Spice and 4*Town = it was fun and just the type of debate middle schoolers would have.
Turning Red is one of my all-time favorite movies ever, so I was stoked to see this new graphic novel with more stories about Mei and friends. I would give this overall 3.5 stars out of 5. I wanted to love this, as the stories themselves were cute, fun, and original, but I hated the art style. It just wasn't how I thought of Turning Red. That being said, the art was really well done, and this would be an awesome graphic novel to add to a young fan's collection.
This was cute. Kids in this age group who are turning red fans will love it I'm sure. I thought it had good variety of stories, and would appeal to different aspects of Mei's story.
