NetGalley ARC Book Review: *One Hundred Moments of Us* by Jon Rance

Rating: ★★★★★

Jon Rance's *One Hundred Moments of Us* is a beautiful tapestry of love, life, and everything in between. This novel isn't just a story; it's an experience, capturing the essence of a relationship through the lens of moments both grand and minute.

From the moment Charlie sets eyes on Ashley Oliver at sixth form, he knows his life has changed. This novel takes us on a journey through their relationship, navigating the highs and lows, the serendipitous meetings, and the challenges life throws their way. Rance’s storytelling shines as he chronicles their journey from tentative beginnings to the complexity of life in London, with each moment adding depth and richness to their love story.

The structure of the book, told through snapshots of significant and seemingly trivial moments, allows readers to fully immerse themselves in Charlie and Ashley’s world. It’s a unique and engaging approach that mirrors the real ebb and flow of relationships, making the characters incredibly relatable and their experiences profoundly moving.

Rance has a talent for capturing the small details that make relationships special, and his portrayal of love is both uplifting and heart-wrenching. Fans of Sophie Cousens, Jill Mansell, and Mike Gayle will find themselves enchanted by this unforgettable romance.

*One Hundred Moments of Us* is more than just a love story; it's a reflection on how relationships shape us and how love endures through life's many trials. It’s a must-read for anyone who believes in the power of moments and the enduring nature of true love.

Thank you, NetGalley and Jon Rance, for the opportunity to read and review this heartfelt and memorable book.

What a beautiful beautifull love story. I can’t say enough good things about it! I was looking for a book like this for quite a while and unfortunately there was none. It reminds me a bit of an upcoming movie coming out starring Florence Pugh. I love love stories through the ages and I love we got a full glimpse into this very special couples life. Highly recommend!

100 Moments of Us was a heartwarming romance read. If you enjoy books by authors, such as David Nichols, I think you’ll enjoy this book.

From the moment Charlie sees Ash for the first time, he knows she is the love of his life. Fate brings them closer and further apart until the ideal moment arrives. It won't all be pretty but they will face whatever comes their way together.
Alternating chapters between Ash and Charlie we get to know their lives, their dreams and their feelings little by little through the different situations that the novel presents us with. Anyone can feel reflected and related to some of them and even have lived them directly.
Without an overwhelming pace, it is one of those novels through which you glide placidly.
