When I finished the previous book, I was still undecided about how I felt about it. It was okay, but there was nothing that stood out for me enough to make myself “like” the book. So when I saw this story was available, I thought maybe it would help increase my interest in this world. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. I still found some of the elements of the story lacked development and/or their execution felt off.
I’m just going to file this one as a “not for me” read.
