Many people are giving these books 5 stars, and I wonder why they don't hit me the same. I listened to this, so I don't know if it's the narrators or what. Regardless, Business Casual drew me in with its captivating "golden retriever meets grumpy heroine" dynamic, which hooked me. Charlie, our loyal, affluent hero obsessed with wristwatches, was the perfect contrast to Nova, a fierce, independent tattoo artist. Their chemistry leaped off the page, fueled by witty banter, friendship, and a palpable bond that went beyond a typical "one-night stand" story. I laughed, swooned, and rooted for their happiness with each page. Despite a few slow moments, the book left a lasting impression, and I’ll be exploring the rest of the Lovelight series!
Thank you to Netgalley for this ALC for an honest review.

Charlie and Nova's opposites attract love story was a perfect ending to the Lovelight Farms series. I love a small town setting and B.K. Borison writing transports you to the town of Ingelwild each season throughout the Lovelight Farms Series. I love the seasonal aspect to each book and how the town and farm feel like one of the characters we have gotten to know throughout the series. This is the fist book in the series I listened to on audio. The dual narration made it a fun and easy listen. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for an advanced copy of the audiobook.

Whilst I am gutted to be saying goodbye to Lovelight Farms I absolutely loved this.
Admittedly... I wasn't a fan of the male narration of Mixed Signals so I was nervous going into this but Benjamin D. Walker KILLED IT! He was the perfect choice for our charmer Charlie. Pippa Jayne killed it as always, as always I wouldn't say I like the same narrator across a series she does well at distancing the characters.

Charlie and Nova's story was a delightful surprise! They initially wanted a casual fling, but their chemistry and banter soon drew me in. Charlie's adorable, funny, and sweet nature shone through, especially when he tenderly cared for Nova during a migraine. B.K. Borison has crafted a lovable book boyfriend! What stood out most was the absence of a third-act breakup, a common trope in previous books. It was refreshing to see Charlie and Nova communicate like adults, avoiding unnecessary drama. I also enjoyed catching up with beloved couples from previous installments, living their happily-ever-afters. I'm sad to bid farewell to Lovelight Farms, but I'm grateful for the advanced reader's copy provided by NetGalley and Pan Macmillan. All opinions are my own.

5*. Business Casual is the fourth and in my option best installment of the series. Charlie and Nova’s spark shined immediately on page. It’s the perfect combo of a reverse grumpy sunshine, friends with benefits and friends to lovers. I’m excited to follow the rest of B.K. Borison’s career.

I have been sitting on this one for an embarrassingly long time, but I have to tell you, I am so glad I waited until fall to read this one! The hype from the release has kinda died down, and it's all about pumpkin season, so why not read it now?!
Nova is a badass, take no shit tattoo artist. But she’s also soft, wants to find love, and really just wants to please her family- mostly her older brother. Charlie feels like the misfit of the town, he is growing to hate his life in the city and just wants to become a tried and true part of Inglewild.
I die for the way Charlie calls her ‘Nova Girl’ and for the top tier banter these two had with one another. They were each fierce and fiery and fast to fall. I loved this book so much. I love this town and I am so sad the series is over, but the epilogue we got was perfect for all our faves in Inglewild.

Thank you Netgalley for the audio arc, I throughly enjoy the book, the narrators did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. While I feel the book can be read as standalone, but highly recommend reading the series in order due to some spoilers from previous books.

Lovelight farms have been one of my favourite series for the past few years and I feel like this book ended it perfectly I loved this one. I loved Nova and Charlie, I loved both of their characters in the past novels and they really got to shine in their own book. I loved their relationship and how they fitted together I just thought they worked so well. I thought nova was so sweet and I love her relationship with her brother and how she didn’t want to disappoint him. I loved how she worked to over come that. I also felt for Charlie and his struggles to pick a different life than what his father had laid out for him and go where he was happiest. I also loved getting to be back in this world with all the characters and it honestly felt like a nice hug and I’m sad the series is over! I listened to the audiobook for this one and the narrators were fabulous I thought they did a great job making Nova and Charlie come alive.

Nova and Charlie. Nova is Beckett’s sister and Charlie is Stella’s half brother. So all our favorite characters are back.
Charlie is the happy, go lucky, jokester type (or is he?) even though he’s a straight laced finance guy from the big city. He goes out of his way to visit Lovelight Farms any chance he can get.
Nova is working on opening her own tattoo studio, and doing everything she can to make her brother proud of her. She struggles with trying to prove herself, but Charlie sees her, just like she sees the true him.
It’s so hard to choose a favorite book in this series, but I think this one comes in a close second for me.
I’m glad I had the audio of this one thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.. I loved the dual narration, having both a male and female voice always makes the story better for me.

What an absolute wonderful ending to this series! Business causal is for sure my favorite out of the series! The audiobook was so well done! Can’t wait to read more by BK!

Thank you to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest review!
My first netgally Audiobook everyone… and it was a biggie!! I requested this in ARC form but was speedily rejected cause @berkley 🤷♀️ but, I saw it in the audiobook section and then promptly DIED when I was approved!
I LOVE the dual narrators and @dreamscape_media and @bkborison chose some wonderful narrators! @pippajayne and @findthewalker embodied these characters and brought the HEAT 🔥
And this was just a perfect conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series. The end of this series brought tears to my eyes… in a good way!

These narrators brought Charlie and Nova to life. Their inflection and emotion was top notch. As far as the story goes, This was one of my most anticipated books of the year, and it did not disappoint. Bk Borison knows how to bring the fun while also adding In a little bit of seriousness. I knew I’d love Charlie from the glimpses I’ve had of him in previous books, and he and nova were everything I’d hoped they’d be and more. Loved it with my whole heart. 🌲

Business Casual by B.K. Borison is the fourth book in the Lovelight series. This is the first book I've read from this series but it held up pretty well as a standalone. I definitely want to go back and read the other three soon. The romance was really sweet. I loved the depth of genuine care and love the characters had for each other. The spice was absolutely swoon worthy. The plot was a little slow and didn't hold my interest but overall this way a really good romance.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

This series is one of those series that just give off all the feels and make you want to live in a small town!
I loved Charlie and Nova’s story, it was raw without being too traumatic and it really seemed like an opposites attract sort of love story which was fun.
Charlie might be a new book boyfriend, he was just so perfectly written! He is selfless and caring but clearly lonely so I am glad he got his happy ending 🥰
If you haven’t read this series, you really should, I have enjoyed all of the love stories and the side characters in this town.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
Read this if you like:

✨ Small town girl/ big city guy

In my opinion, this was aggressively fine. Nothing really stuck with me, but it wasn’t bad by any means. The tropes were all pretty basic and they didn’t bring anything new to the table. They banged it out pretty early on and then not much else happened…there wasn’t much drama and there wasn’t really a breakup. He had daddy issues, but even that was an afterthought.
I think it can easily be read as a standalone (as I did) as all the side characters are given pretty good introductions. I’ve heard people who read the series liked it as a conclusion, and maybe that’s the issue? The main couple kinda meandered about while other relationships/plots were being tied off with a bow?
The writing kinda gave Emily Henry Lite, which for many I assume is a positive, but for me it was just a bit too flowery. I actually stopped listening the first time I picked it up bc the amount of descriptors within the first five minutes was a LOT??? Like so many words…which I understand is a wild thing to say about a book, but that’s truly how it felt. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of this being in first-person dual POV.
Oh also, I absolutely hated the nickname “Nova Girl” because it seems like something you’d call a dog!!! By the end, I audibly groaned whenever he said it.
As for the audiobook, both narrators did pretty well! Nova’s narrator maybe had some weird pauses or something, but nothing too noticeable. The male narrator sounded a bit like he should be voicing a lumberjack (hard to describe but that’s what I kept picturing), which doesn’t really scream Charlie, but he did a good job. I liked their respective voices for the other MC as well!
Overall, I’m a vanilla girlie at heart and normally don’t partake in vanilla as an insult…but this really just felt quite vanilla. And in the most polite way possible, I know Charlie is technically a brunette hero…but he screamed blond. He was lacking an edge or something.

I received a free audiobook from the publisher. All opinions are honest and my own.

Finishing up our time in Lovelight is so incredible. Becs goes out with a bang. Snippets of Charlie throughout the other books really set me up for this one. I was curious why he was getting a book since he's a New Yorker and not Inglewild-er. Which isn't that really the whole crux of the book? He doesn't feel like he belongs. He's too big and too loud and too much. And takes up so much space. Then you have nova on the other side who has germ so loved her entire life she feels like she has to be perfect . He's too much. She's not enough. The push and pull a mind wanting to scream because these two people are so insecure why can't they just let everyone love them. Honestly. The realest of the 4 books. A perfect way to end inglewild
So incredibly grateful for the audio. Knocked it out of the park. Felt like I could feel what was happening through my ears and it was lovely

Lovelight Farms has had my heart since I read the first book in the series, in the end of 2021 - I have loved getting to see all of the characters in Inglewild continue to develop, find their own way and find their own love too!
Business Casual follows Nova (Beckett’s sister) & Charlie (Stella’s brother) who both have different feelings on the chemistry that they can feel between each other. In an effort to “get him out of her system once and for all” a proposition is made - one night, that’s all. But do we really think that this works out in that way? I’d challenge you to read the book to find out! I’m so grateful that I did!
Nova and Charlie are probably my new favorite couple from the series! Their interactions & palpable chemistry was ever present throughout the entirety of the book and I loved every minute of it! BK wasted no time with their story, making for great pacing and kept me engaged the whole time while I listened to the book. Not only this, but with the alternating POV format that it is written in, I was able to experience the incredibly talented Pippa Jayne & Benjamin Walker narrate this gem! They did such an amazing job bringing Nova & Charlie to life for me, and I am so impressed by their attention to detail and portrayal of the story.
BK Borison has DONE IT AGAIN with Business Casual and the last visit to Lovelight Farms 😭🥹😍 There is just something about her writing, the way in which she connects characters together in such a natural way, while also diving into some of the challenges that they may face as well. The vibes of Inglewild & its citizens is so sweet, hilarious and genuine all at the same time - If offered the chance, I think I’d move to this (fictitious) place!

I've been wanting to read this series forever. The covers are super cute and aesthetic. Of course, I've started with the last book but, it is what it is. better later than never, right? I remember the author saying that each book represents a season, which is cool. I listened to the audiobook version of the book and here are my thoughts:
The Narration: I did not like Pippa Jayne's narrating. Her inflection wasn't my favorite. Benjamin Walker was mildly better but not super interesting to listen to, and it felt like he was just reading the book rather than bringing it to life. The narration was kind of disappointing.
The Story: I should have not started with the last book; too much reflection on characters and events from past books. You could sense the tension from the beginning and the MMC's chapters were slightly more interesting than the FMC's. As the book went on, I enjoyed the MMC's POV more and found him to be the more likable character based on his personality and generosity. I couldn't find myself relating to the FMC so she ended up falling flat for me.
So, because of all of that, I've rated the book 3.5 stars (rounded to 4). I peeked at the other book from this series I have in my library and it's unfortunately read by Pippa too. I will probably return the title.

4.5/5 stars
This was really cute, and it was a great end to the series.
My only complaint was that since this was the last book in the series, I was really hoping the epilogue was going to include stuff about the other 3 couples and it didn’t have that so I was a little sad.

⭐️⭐️💫 2.5/5

ARC - Pub Date July 16
I will always come back to this series whenever a new book comes out but unfortunately this was not my favourite of the bunch 😐
I do love reconnecting with all the past characters but in my opinion there wasn’t much of a story here and it fell a bit flat.
I did get the approval for the audiobook for this one and I will say the narration was pretty good 😊
